My little brother is annoying but lovable, he is the only member in my family I can somewhat show affection to. Strangely he likes me so much he constantly bugs me. He would often come up to me to talk about his day, if any new drama occurred between his friends, the latest trends online.
If fact he talks so much that if I had to listen properly from start to finish I will never get anything done. This is why I would say most of the time I don't actually listen to whatever he tells me. I would indulge him and listen to him on occasion if I'm not doing something important like if he wanted to talk while I'm watching tv but when I need to work I would tell him that I'm focusing and that he can continue to talk but I likely wouldn't retain much.
He is normally fine with this and would continue to talk while I treat him as white noise.
Esmae I must complain that I find it hard to live with him. He is the youngest so never grew up needing to do chores which caused him to be a slob. I am not the most organised nor the most tidy but looking at his mess gives me a headache. If fact I would say this is the worst thing about him, his inability to be independent and care for himself.
This cause me to worry daily because as of now the only chore he actually does is washing his own clothes but this is because my sister refused to continue washing his clothes for him since he is older now and if he doesn't wash his own clothes he would have nothing to wear. If you want him to do any other chores he would only do it if you force him or if he has no choice because it would affect him if said chores are not done.
I would nag him from to time, reminding him of chores that need to be done. Even then if say I remind him 5 times there is only a 1 out of 5 chances that he would do it. Which is to say is unlikely for him to do something about it even when confronted. What do you think I should do Esmae, my sister is getting frustrated about my brother and he impacts my life by not pulling his own weight. I do want him to be better at doing chores but so far it's unlikely.
