Zixuan rolled his eyes as he focused on eating the last spoon. Haoran didn't press on the matter as he picked up the trays and left.
"I'll be back," he said simply, leaving the living room.
Zixuan leaned back on the couch, arms folded. "Finally, some peace," he muttered. But that peace didn't last long. His thoughts wandered to the locked doors.
Upstairs, he dropped the tray down and checked the watch. It's was time.
He had arranged to see Mrs Fu without telling Zixuan. He sneaked through the back door.
They decided to meet at a private restaurant.
"Mrs. Fu," Haoran greeted, standing to pull out a chair for her.
She offered a polite smile before she sat down. " You asked to see me concerning the wedding?."
"Yes," Haoran replied, but his tone was more serious. He waited for the waiter to pour water in the glass cup before he started "There's something I need to tell you… and confirm."
"What is it?." Mrs Fu asked.
