[25] Montage...in a Fast and Furious Movie...what is a Fast and Furious movie?
OOPS, I said that out loud!

Auto Supply Store, Just Outside of Miami

The auto shop smells like chemicals and cheap coffee…and I think Letty just stepped into something sticky near the paint aisle…that wasn't paint judging by the hot blonde working the counter who looks like she was just freshly fucked and is still struggling to fix her outfit so given that whatever was on the floor was probably something el'naturel…but I'll be keeping that to myself and having Letty leave that boot outside of the Hauler when we get home.
"Tell me again why you dragged us out here acting like a little kid on a field trip?" Letty mutters, flipping through a color catalog like it personally offended her.
I smirk at her and shrug. "Because I'm planning on painting the Skyline and want both of your opinions on colors we also need to pick-up or have the tubing for a roll cage."
Mia perks up, and asks in boundless excitement. "We're helping pick the colors?"
"Within reason." I say, side-eyeing her and Letty mostly Letty because she has a dangerous smirk on her face and a mischievous light in her eyes.
"Hot pink it is." Letty says while grinning wolfishly at me, while Mia giggles and playfully nods along in agreement.
"Touch my car with that color and I'll throw both of you out the Hauler." I try to act stern but find myself cracking a smile and leaning in giving each a kiss that they both try to sink into and prolong, not caring about the blonde's gasp of surprise at seeing me kiss the two of them.
Mia smirks as Letty laughs as Mia points to a paint block, it's a gorgeous metallic silver and Letty uses another paint book and points out a blue, "I think it matches your eyes pretty well." Letty murmurs and sounds almost shy as she looks into my eyes a small dusting of color painting her face and neck.
"I love it ladies…I'm glad I brought you two. I'd be staring at colors all day without you two." I smile at both of them laying it on thick, even though they know I'm laying it on thick when they know I could make the color shift paint like I did for the Supra but since I'm including them in everything as a bit of a family activity the girls are very happy to play along.
Letty rolls her eyes and then elbows Mia lightly. "What do you think about this, Mia? I think with this body kit that the car will be hot with this one but this body kit is also fire." I leave Letty and Mia to decide what body kit to get and to order the paint while I go and grab primer, sandpaper, tape, a few cans of matte clear, and an extra fire extinguisher because we are installing the cage… and I know from the experience of the Supra that Letty welds like she's mad at the metal.

Inside the Hauler – Garage Bay
~~ — — — — — — — — — — ~~
Mia's wearing a leather smock, welding gloves and welding goggles holding up a piece of the rollcage frame, Letty's wearing a welding hood, leaning into the car throwing sparks across the interior frame.
'I don't know how she manages to weld so aggressively that she throws sparks like she's using a cutting torch. I mean the temperature isn't too high.' I think as I weld the opposite side of the same section Letty is working on the roll cage is halfway installed, finishing up my weld to the frame/body I begin tacking the supports that Mia is holding up/together.
"You know, we're one montage away from a Fast & Furious movie," I say, watching Letty complete another weld.
"We're the movie stars, right?" Letty asks without looking away from her work.
Mia bumps my arm and teases playfully. "You're just mad we're better welders than you." I laugh at that.
"You've made…like, four welds, that Letty had to chip and grid away to start fresh…that's why you're the official pipe holder now." I tease Mia while lifting up my welding helmet.
"Four perfect welds," Mia says while somehow managing to smile proudly and pout stubbornly at the same time, while pointing to my welds.
I playfully check my welds again, and hum, "They're… not bad. A little uneven but solid."
"Fine. You're hired," I say to Mia who beams at me in an overly exaggerated manner that makes us both laugh.
Letty flips her hood up, sweat glistening on her forehead.
"Benefits?"
"Unlimited love, attention, guns and tons of good old lovin and baby makin." I tease Mia blushes while looking down at her flat smooth belly, a longing but nervous expression crossing her face and Letty grins, "I'm in." Letty playfully snarks.
Looking at the stripped shinny skeletal Skyline freshly welded in rollcage but it won't impede the doors.
I smile at what me and the girls have accomplished together as Letty stirs the primer and Mia and I slip into the 3M body suits and put on our face masks Letty is already in her gear it is amazing how out fitted the Hauler is to the point the garage bay can act as a paint room.
"Pilot-One crank up the music!" I holler from underneath the painters mask and Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob Seger starts bumping over the stereo.
Letty fills the three paint guns with the primer and the three of us start spraying the body pieces of the Skyline with primer.
Every now and then one of us will playfully spray someone and it'll start a paint war then we go back to work we always finish whatever we're painting so it doesn't mess up the layer but we all make a fun time of it.
The first layer of primer goes on smoothly after some drying. Thanks to the ventilation system it is relatively fast so we are able to lay the second coating of primer.
Once the second coating of primer dries we do the base coat of the metallic silver, we let that dry then we do the blue, a full coat once that is dry we tape off the and use stylus's, and then spray a fresh coat of metallic silver and the car radiates such a beautiful color it's breathtaking.
Then comes the base layer of the clear coat, followed by the true first layer then the second and third layers, the whole car gets painted, even the undercarriage.
The three of us strip off our painting gear, we're sweaty, exhausted, satisfied and most of all happy with the way the paint job has come out even though the car is still in pieces.
I smile at the girls feeling such a strong sense of peace, the kind of peace that comes with building something with your own damn hands and the people you love.
