Chapter 78 - Nine Fox Tails · Awakening!

"I can only give it a try!"

A storm of thoughts flashed through Vasco Shot's mind before his eyes turned cold and resolute again.

After being imprisoned in Impel Down for so many years… and surviving death twice already… if all that awaited him was to keep dancing at the edge of death in Rosen's hands— he'd rather gamble it all.

Whatever the reason Borsalino was choosing to stand aside… didn't matter now.

He could only grit his teeth and keep dancing.

"Rosen."

"Let me show you what it feels like—"

"—the terror of rampaging through Infinite Hell!"

As the ten fire dragons burned away at Susanoo— slowly but surely— another figure rushed out like a flash of lightning.

Avalo Pizarro, the so-called Corrupt King Government, embedded earlier in the prison wall by a single punch from Susanoo's second form, now charged back in.

Rosen's expression didn't change.

After all, unlike Vasco Shot or Catarina Devon, Avalo Pizarro's injuries weren't serious.

He'd been punched— yes. But the hit wasn't even imbued with Conqueror's Haki.

A bit of rest, and here he was— already doing sit-ups again.

But what Rosen didn't expect—

Was what Pizzaro did next.

"KING'S FIST!"

Avalo Pizarro locked eyes with Rosen through the cracks in Susanoo's armor.

Rage blazed in his gaze— fury, bloodlust, the will to crush— and he threw a single punch with everything he had.

The flames of Vasco Shot's wine dragons parted on cue, making way for the blow.

Then—

With all his weight behind it, his fist exploded forward like a tyrant dragon bursting from the depths.

BOOM!

A white-hot flash lit up the battlefield, and a deafening shockwave erupted— rippling outward like a missile had detonated at point blank.

Susanoo had already taken the attacks of thirteen prisoners… had already endured ten fire dragons birthed from the awakened Glug-Glug Fruit… was already beginning to melt.

Now—under this concentrated, full-powered blow from The Corrupt King…

CRACK—

It happened.

With the sharp sound of tearing steel, Susanoo's armor split apart, fractures bursting out like spiderwebs across porcelain.

The outer layer was collapsing.

"We did it!"

Avalo Pizarro and Vasco Shot's eyes lit up with excitement.

They had cracked Susanoo.

They had found a way to shatter the unshatterable.

"The King's Fist from the Kingdom of Prodia..."

"I didn't think you had it in you."

"No wonder they call you The Corrupt King."

Rosen didn't flinch. Even as Susanoo cracked and groaned around him, his voice remained calm.

His attention wasn't even on the damage— it was on that punch.

A devastating, kingdom-ending blow.

The kind of strike that was said to rival the Four Yonkos in pure impact.

Exaggerated?

Yes.

But not without substance.

Even though Pizarro, like Elizabello II, could only throw it once per charge— if fully powered, that single punch could indeed rival the combined force of the previous thirteen attackers.

Maybe, just maybe, it could shatter Susanoo on its own— if conditions were right.

But just barely.

"Mmmmhaha!"

"There's more you haven't seen yet... Navy!"

Suddenly, a cold, eerie laugh echoed from above.

Swoosh—!

A sharp gust tore through the air as a figure flashed down from above.

Catarina Devon.

The same Catarina Devon who had been smashed into the floor like a ragdoll by Susanoo's Undersea Drop, bloodied like a crushed tomato, her life on the brink.

Not only had she stood back up— she now soared through the air, descending straight toward Rosen like a falling star.

But she wasn't the same anymore.

She had also awakened.

Transformed into her Nine-Tailed Fox human-beast form, Catherine's entire body now radiated strange, purple flame-like clouds, swirling around her like silk ribbons.

Her once brutish physique was now leaner, sleeker— sharper in every way.

But the real change—

It was in her aura.

Rosen's Observation Haki flared.

What he sensed shocked him.

The Catarina Devon before him now had more than double the vitality and combat strength compared to when she'd been defeated minutes ago.

"The Nine Fox Tail— Awakening!"

Rosen narrowed his eyes.

He recognized that eerie purple cloud instantly.

It was one of the telltale signs of Zoan-type Awakening.

He truly hadn't expected this.

Not only had Vasco Shot awakened his Glug-Glug Fruit...

Even Catarina Devon, a user of a Mythical Zoan, had now awakened as well.

And that changed everything.

According to Borsalino, among the three Devil Fruit types, the Mythical Zoans and top-tier Logias were the hardest to awaken.

The difficulty was absurd— even Yonko-level figures rarely managed it.

Sure, Catherine's Nine-Tailed Fox wasn't on the level of Kaido's Azure Dragon or Luffy's Nika…

But it was still a Mythical Zoan.

Still something not even Kaido's top subordinates could easily achieve.

"So this was all planned."

Rosen finally spoke, his voice low.

Vasco Shot's fruit awakening…

Avalo Pizarro's King's Fist...

Now Catarina Devon's Nine-Tailed Awakening...

All of it, one after another, unleashed in perfect sequence.

They had held back everything yesterday— even while being beaten half to death.

They had gambled that today would be the day.

And they'd been right.

Someone— something— was guiding them behind the scenes.

"Mmmhahaha..."

Catherine laughed, her eyes glowing wildly.

Without replying to Rosen's suspicions, she instead transformed once more— her fox form warping, shrinking, compressing...

Into the form of Garp, the Navy Hero.

She still retained the strength and vitality granted by her Zoan Awakening— but now combined with Garp's terrifying form and fighting style.

"Galaxy Impact!"

She roared, raising her transformed fist into the sky, gathering pure Armament Haki into it like it was a black hole.

Then— like thunder falling—

Slammed it downward.

BOOOOOOM—

A giant shockwave erupted from the sky.

Purple flashes sliced through the air like blades.

Cracks exploded outward as circles of rippling airwaves tore through the Infinite Hell, shaking the entire sixth floor to its foundations.

The already-broken Susanoo began to tremble again—

Everyone knew,

This punch... would shatter Susanoo.

Even Rosen didn't deny it.

So—

For the first time—

He moved.

He activated his Three Forms of Haki.

Fully.

Unrestrained.

Conqueror.

Armament.

Observation.

All three surged out from his body like volcanic eruptions.

Inside the cracked shell of Susanoo, he raised his right hand—palm open, fingers curved slightly as if grasping something from the void.

And softly, as though commanding the heavens—

He whispered.

"Yata Mirror."
