The void, wrapped in black light, collapsed layer by layer.
Terrifying energy tore apart the walls of space itself, and the shockwaves of power spread outward, vanishing into those pitch-black cracks.
No sound.
It was as if the entire world had gone silent in that instant.
So eerie it made one's skin crawl.
"Heh… I didn't expect it. You really did manage to pull it off."
"But… this won't be enough!"
ROAR!
Facing the collapsing space, Ghidorah raised his three heads and unleashed an earth-shaking roar. Dense, violent bolts of lightning rained down in torrents.
His entire body crackled with electricity, blazing like a miniature sun against the darkness of night—
a vision worthy of a god.
Buzz… buzz…
Golden arcs of lightning twisted together and suddenly erupted. Three massive beams merged into one, forming a single colossal ray.
The black, void-like sphere of energy caught between them was instantly driven back—forced toward the four-legged war machine.
That jet-black sphere, like a newborn black hole, crept closer and closer.
No one doubted the apocalyptic power sealed inside.
The quadrupedal monster tried to evade, but locked in the standoff of energies, it had no room to dodge.
It couldn't even risk pulling its own energy back.
"Vice Admiral Cole (OC)—th-that thing… that energy ball is about to hit us!!"
"What do we do!?"
"Are we… are we going to die!?"
Inside the beast's core control chamber, panic reigned. Some technicians had even forgotten the instruments before them, staring blankly at the encroaching black sphere.
"Everyone prepare to abandon ship! Evacuate immediately—leave the battleship behind!"
The towering figure of Vice Admiral Cole gritted his teeth as he gave the order.
He already foresaw the outcome. His own life was meaningless, but the vessel was still filled with countless elite officers of the World Government.
They were its foundation—its future. He could not allow them to be buried here.
At the edge of life and death, there was no room for sentiment. At the instant his command was given, chaos erupted as crew members scrambled for escape.
Buzz… buzz…!
The clash of energies screamed louder and sharper, a maddening sound drilling into every heart.
Zzzzz—
Suddenly, a piercing shriek rang out. A flash of black light. And then—silence.
The terrifying energy sphere collapsed in on itself, shrinking to the size of a marble.
Buzz—KABOOM!!
Without warning, the world exploded into a deafening howl. A massive tide of energy surged outward.
Heaven and earth dimmed. Tempest winds tore through the skies. In that instant, it felt like the end of the world itself had arrived.
The overwhelming blast shredded the metallic body of the four-legged beast. Gray steel dissolved into dust at a speed visible to the naked eye.
BOOM!
Finally, with a heaven-shaking detonation, the monster disintegrated—dragging the ocean beneath it into collapse.
The impact rose into the sky, blossoming into a vast mushroom cloud.
Whoooosh!
The shockwave swept outward, hurling Ghidorah through the air and smashing him into a nearby island.
CRASH!!
"Damn it!"
Clawing his way out of the crater, Ghidorah shook off the debris, glaring at the sea in astonishment.
The quadrupedal monster was gone. In its place, a towering tidal wave—hundreds of meters high—rushed toward the island, blotting out the heavens.
For a moment, even Ghidorah was struck dumb.
In the next instant, he beat his wings and soared upward without hesitation.
"What the hell… is that!?"
The colossal wave swallowed the island whole as Ghidorah looked on, wide-eyed.
The blast had not quite reached the true destructive power of Pluton, but… the World Government had modified it somehow.
Enough to even tear at the fabric of space.
This…
this was truly terrifying.
Clap… clap…
As the tsunami receded, a crisp sound of applause rang out.
"I must admit… you are a terrifying creature."
Following the sound, an air-door slowly opened above the ruined island. Five silhouettes stepped out one by one.
The masked man in white robes—keeper of the Gate—closed it behind them, leaving the five alone in the sky.
"Heh… the Door-Door Fruit?"
Ghidorah immediately recognized the power. He even recalled that CP9 agent from the original history.
But whether it was the same fruit mattered little. His attention was fixed entirely on the five who had emerged.
Their bodies revealed nothing, yet by their presence here, their identity was clear.
"The same vermin as always… crawling out from the shadows."
His voice dripped with icy venom.
"Still as loathsome as ever," one of them replied coolly.
Hearing the words, Ghidorah bared his jagged teeth in a monstrous grin. Just as he thought—these were some of the Twenty Kings themselves.
Who exactly, he couldn't yet tell.
"Is that so?"
"I don't think so."
With a flex of his massive frame, Ghidorah thundered down, landing a hundred meters before them.
The five moved instantly, activating their powers.
Without warning, a devastating slash ripped through the air.
Holy shit—!
"Where's your damn honor!?"
Ghidorah's three pairs of eyes widened in disbelief. He had only just landed, and already they were attacking—
no words, no prelude, just a direct killing blow.
So shameless. So dishonorable.
But Ghidorah was not the type to back down, nor to underestimate.
These were beings he knew well from a thousand years ago. Individually, none could match him. But together—
their combined might was far greater than the sum of its parts.
The slash came screaming toward him. Ghidorah wasted no time, unleashing his radiant gravity beams.
The two forces collided, erupting into a violent storm. The shattered island was once again consumed in chaos.
One battle had barely ended—
and now, an even greater one began.
As the slash dissolved, the five lunged in, launching a flurry of attacks against Ghidorah's massive body.
Sword-aura, concussive strikes, and elemental blasts poured down like a storm with no end.
But Ghidorah was not one to swallow his rage. His temper was infamous.
Faced with such a shameless gang assault, his fury boiled over.
RUMBLE!!
The ground split apart as his three heads unleashed devastation in every direction. His vast wings beat like thunder, sweeping across the battlefield.
The island, already fractured, now trembled on the verge of sinking beneath the sea.
CRASH!
One enormous wing smashed aside a Paramecia ability user—wielding powers of kinetic energy—sending him flying.
With a mighty leap, Ghidorah surged forward, lightning cascading down in torrents.
"You think you can kill me!?"
"Just the likes of you five? You're not even worthy!"
His cold, furious roar split the heavens.
And then—blinding storms of thunder rained down in wrath.
