In the center, Blake was standing. His head is lowered, quietly trembling from all the questioning stares given to him.
"The Ignisian will not accept this, Your Majesty. Can we just take the fire stone on him?" asked Mr. Jacob, the Ignis Palace Representative.
Alpha looked at him, chinned up and didn't look bothered at all. "Whether or not, they need to accept it. The only way to take it on him is to kill him."
A moment of silence happened when Alpha mentioned the way to take it. As council members, we are the model to follow the rules and we cannot kill an innocent.
All looked up to Mr. Jacob when he said, "He is just a mere mortal, he does not belong to us. No one will know that we killed him." Sounding confident and not minding all the stares that other council members are throwing at him, he is determined to push through with his idea.
Alpha's aura intensified when he heard that disgusting phrase, a phrase against our rules. Mr. Jacob suddenly looked down, avoiding staring at Alpha. "I will give you a chance, Mr. Jacob. You know what to do," clearly declared by the Alpha, holding her head high and imposing her authority.
In an instant, Mr. Jacob is in front of Blake, kneeling and bowing down to him while repeatedly apologizing to him.
"It's okay… it's okay. I understand where you are coming from," Blake whispered, trying to stand Mr. Jacob who still kept on bowing and saying sorry for a few minutes before going back to his seat.
"We do not have any choice but to accept Blake as a new fire bearer," I said calmly.
"But, it can cause an uproar, Your Majesty." commented by Mr. Wane, the Council Head of Harmony.
"And, rebellion from the Ignisian, Your Majesty," added Ms. Jacinta, the Council Head of Magic.
"Excuse me? We are not rebels, Ms. Jacinta," Mr. Jacob quickly defended, standing up to defend his region from the accusation. Fully recovered from what happened a while ago.
"I'm just stating the possible outcome, Mr. Jacob. No need to be so defensive," Ms. Jacinta calmly stated, smiling and remained sitting on her seat.
"Calm down, Mr. Jacob. We cannot solve a problem with a fight," Mr. Fynn interjected.
Mr. Jacob and Ms. Jacinta calmed down, looking away from each other.
"I have an idea," Ms. Hazel, the Council Head of Knowledge, suggested.
Mr. Fynn nodded, giving her a sign to continue what she was saying.
"People would never accept it immediately if we just introduced him. Let the people find out about him," she explained, standing up firmly.
"What do you mean?" asked Mr. Jacob, frowning his eyebrows at the idea.
"Let them know him by giving him missions, that way we are not introducing him merely as fire bearer but the one they can rely on," Ms. Hazel added, clarifying her plan.
It is actually brilliant. People would never question Blake being a Beta when they knew him doing his responsibilities well.
"Not to disrespect the Beta but to his level… only Class G missions can be assigned to him," Mr. Vann, the Council Head of Guilds, pointed out the rule.
"We can train him… for the meantime," Mr. Wood, the Terra Palace Representative, suggested.
"Training for the Beta requires years," commented Ms. Rhiya, the Aerilon Palace Representative.
"We can train him for one month, intensively," suggested Ms. Shen, the Aquaria Palace Representative.
"Can his body hold that kind of training?" asked Ms. Jacinta, worrying about the body limit of Blake who grew up in the world of mortals without any experience in fighting.
"I will do it," Blake said confidently, making the center of stares as all of the council members looked at him being confident that he can do that intensive training.
A slight curve formed in my lips. How amazing how his eyes communicate and express his courage and willingness to undergo those training without even knowing about the training at all.
Alpha smiled proudly, stood up while clapping. "You heard him. He will do it."
Being proud of him, I need to fulfill my promise to him. "Let me train him. I will bring him along in my missions," I proposed to the council members.
"I am allowing her." I looked at Alpha in her immediate decision but I smiled afterwards by the trust she gave me in training Blake.
"But, Your Majesty, we need Lady Aella for missions," Mr. Fynn reminded Alpha while bowing his head knowing that he subtly opposed her.
Alpha looked at me, wanting me to say anything to Mr. Fynn. "I will still accept missions while training him. Also, as I said, I will bring him along to do the suggestion of Ms. Hazel and to teach him," I explained, smiling and giving an assurance to them. "After all, experience is the best teacher," I added.
"If you will allow, Your Majesty, let me add another trainer of his from the Ignis Region. Delta A, maybe?" Mr. Fynn suggested.
I totally agree, he will learn a lot from an Ignisian. "I'm good with it, Your Majesty," I said, thinking that it would be best for Blake.
"Contact the best Delta A from Ignis and create Blake's training schedule as soon as possible then give me a copy of it," Alpha seriously commanded, looking directly at the Council Head.
"Consider it done, Your Majesty," said Mr. Fynn. "But, we also have another problem… about Master Valen."
Alpha's aura intensified, what Valen did is a treason to Elysium. It is not forgivable in any way.
Tellus asked, "Do we have any contact with Gamma?"
"We do not have any, they are mysterious and take missions unknowingly," Mr. Vann answered.
"Only Gamma can communicate with him," Aerona said.
"If you will, I can make a mission to find a Gamma to contact Master Valen," suggested by Mr. Vann.
"Let him," Alpha strongly stated. "He is a traitor," she whispered. Her voice sounds holding back, not her anger but maybe the pain she was feeling. After saying that, she vanished.
The room was filled with silence. That action commanded by the Alpha was final, no one can change or oppose it.
Now… Valen would be an enemy of Elysium.
