Warship, Brig
BOOM—!
As the final layer of the deck was torn apart by fierce flames, thick smoke and the smell of blood flooded into the rusty prison corridor. The Marines fell amidst the flames and the shockwave, their wails gradually ceasing.
King folded his wings and stepped into the brig, the flames around him converging into a molten blade, each step radiating heat. He strode into the hold, his flame-wreathed claws easily melting the lock. His cold gaze swept over the two figures inside—one was the completely scarred and unconscious [King of Docking, Jack], his life force weak but not yet extinguished. The other was the [Flamingo, Doflamingo], sitting against a cold wall, his eyes sinister, a crazed smile on his lips.
"Fufufu... you're finally here, King." He thought Roy had been defeated by Kaido, his eyes shining with a crazed light. "That bastard Roy, he thought he could stop Kaido?!"
However, King ignored him. He just sharpened his gaze and walked over to Jack. "Shut up, Doflamingo," he said in a low voice. With a flick of his wrist, his longsword suddenly ignited with dark red flames, the scorching heat distorting the surrounding air. The blade drew a dazzling arc—"CLANG!"—and accurately struck a weak point in the Seastone chain's structure. The chain instantly shattered, the broken ends glowing like molten rock.
Just then—!
"KING!!!"
An angry roar, like a thunderclap, came from the bow of the ship, followed by a golden sword light wrapped in the force of wind and thunder, cleaving straight down from the deck.
"Storm: Heavenly Feather Slash!!!"
The golden slash, like a meteor, pierced the entire warship, carrying with it an astonishing Haki pressure.
A warning flashed in King's eyes, and he spun around. Gion, who had arrived with all her might, her Konpira wrapped in a violent sword energy, had cut through the deck and the hold, aiming straight for King's throat.
King's pupils constricted, and he hastily swung his flame blade to block—
"CLANG—!!"
The flame blade and Konpira collided violently in the brig. The shockwave sent the two sides of the hold caving in and twisting. Gion's face was pale, her military uniform soaked in blood, the wound on her left shoulder still bleeding, but at this moment, her killing intent was boiling. "You dare to trespass on a warship, kill Marines, and even try to snatch a prisoner?!"
King's face was cold. A glance from the corner of his eye saw that Jack was no longer in chains. He let the flames explode, forcing Gion back. "I don't have time to deal with you." He grabbed Jack's body, his wings beat fiercely, and he broke out of the hold, creating a series of tearing steel and explosions.
Gion raised her sword and pursued. "You bastard—!!"
At the shattered island, Kaido's "Roaring Thunder Bagua" tore the earth apart, his Conqueror's Haki sweeping over like a tsunami. Although Roy had forcefully used "Instant Flash" to avoid the fatal blow, he was still injured by the aftershock, a mist of blood exploding from his shoulder.
"This won't work... Gion can't hold out."
His gaze sharpened, and he suddenly gathered his strength in his right fist, a cross-shaped light shining on it. "Fist Bone: Cross Star Burst!"
Kaido laughed wildly, wrapping Hassaikai in Conqueror's Haki, preparing to meet this blow head-on. "Come on, kid!!"
However—just as the two forces were about to collide, Roy's figure vanished suddenly.
"What?!" Kaido was taken aback. His spiked club hit empty air, and the earth instantly shattered. He suddenly looked up, his Observation Haki frantically searching—Roy had actually appeared several thousand meters away, heading straight for the warship.
"ROY!! YOU BASTARD!!!" Kaido roared in a rage, the dragon scale patterns on his body flashing wildly. "You dare to ignore me?!?!"
King casually tossed Jack into the sea and turned to fight Gion fiercely high in the sky. Flames and sword energy constantly collided, the exploding firelight illuminating the entire sea area.
"Fire Dragon Emperor: Flame Wing Slash!!" King roared, his wings spreading out to become a scorching giant flame blade that swept across the heavens and the earth, slashing down diagonally.
Gion, forcing herself through her exhaustion, swung her sword to block. "CLANG—!" With a loud sound, the body of Konpira trembled violently, and she was sent flying back dozens of meters, her blood churning. She gritted her teeth and stabilized her stance, her expression grave. "Damn it... my stamina is almost at its limit."
"It's over," King whispered coldly, the flames gathering again, about to deliver the final blow. But in that instant—
"Finger Pistol: Instant Snipe!"
A black finger pistol, infused with Haki, shot through the air like a meteor, instantly appearing behind King.
"BANG—!!!"
Before King could completely turn around, his shoulder and back were pierced. Amidst the exploding flames, his body trembled violently, and he was sent flying like a rag, crashing hard into the rock wall of a nearby small island, sending debris flying.
Gion was stunned. "Roy?!"
His combat boots landed lightly, and Roy appeared in the air, a trace of black lightning still coiled around his right arm. He wore a tattered Marine uniform, was covered in injuries, but his presence was still imposing. "Sorry," he panted slightly, his gaze cold. "I'm late."
A hint of relief flashed in Gion's eyes, but she also noticed the turmoil in his presence. "You... you're still holding on, aren't you?"
"Whether I'm holding on or not, it doesn't matter," Roy answered calmly, then turned to look at the shattered hold that had been hit by the explosion. In the brig, Doflamingo sat stunned, his pupils constricted, his grin frozen in an instant.
A mocking curve appeared on Roy's lips. "Little flamingo..."
"Did you really think Kaido could beat me?"
Doflamingo's eye twitched. He sensed the still-boiling after-effects of Conqueror's Haki on Roy's body—it was the pressure of someone who had fought Kaido head-on and was still standing. "He... this madman, he can actually stop Kaido?!"
BOOM!!!
The next second, a clap of thunder tore through the long sky. In the sky, a furious blue dragon suddenly broke through the clouds, lightning flashing between its horns, its golden eyes wide with rage. "RO—Y—!!! I'm going to kill you today!!!"
Kaido roared as he charged into the battlefield, bringing with him a sky-covering dragon's might, his breath gathering deep in his throat.
Roy's expression did not change. His Observation Haki spread out, and he sensed the countless injured on the warship on the verge of death. "This battle can't be dragged on..." his gaze darkened.
"If I keep fighting, at best, Kaido and I will both be heavily injured."
"But the people on the warship will all die."
He looked deeply at Gion. She was about to speak but was pulled into his arms by the waist. Roy said in a low voice, "Let's go."
"What are you doing?"
He didn't answer but just turned to look at the charging blue dragon. The dragon's eyes were red, its breath already full in its throat, as if it would incinerate the entire sea area in the next second.
But Roy just glanced at it coldly, a cold curve on his lips. He raised his finger and mouthed slowly in Kaido's direction, "Next time, I won't let you go."
"SWISH!!!"
The next instant, Roy, Gion, and the entire, almost-destroyed warship vanished from the spot.
BOOM!!!!
Kaido's breath hit the spot where the warship had been a second later, creating a several-hundred-meter-high column of water. The sea surface was completely overturned, and the scorching impact blasted into the deep sea, the water vapor becoming a rolling, dense fog.
"ROAR-ROAR-ROAR—!!!"
The furious blue dragon circled and roared high in the sky. The wind swept by, and thunder roared, its anger almost igniting the entire sky. In the distance, a heavily injured King struggled out of the wreckage and flew out, flames wrapped around the wound on his chest, his face pale but still calm. "Brother Kaido..." he panted. "Roy took the people and left. I threw Jack into the sea. Luckily, he didn't have time to take him."
"We can't drag this fight on any longer. If we stay here and he comes back with reinforcements, we might not be able to retreat completely."
Kaido gritted his teeth, his anger surging. But he looked at the empty sea and was silent for a few seconds, then finally let out a low roar. "Notify the subordinates nearby to fish Jack out." He roared in a low voice, "He's lucky today..."
"Next time, I won't even leave his corpse behind!!!"
