New World Shipping Lane
The sea wind, sharp as a blade, swept diagonally across the deck, making the Marine flag flutter loudly. The warship, like a giant beast breaking through the waves, tore through the sea surface, its target the tropical island with a resort-like atmosphere—Dressrosa.
At the bow, Gion stood quietly in the wind, her pink shirt clinging to her figure, the Justice cape she wore billowing behind her. Below her smart shorts, her military boots were planted firmly on the deck. Her gentle silhouette and the sharp "Meito: Konpira" at her waist formed a wonderful contrast of stillness and motion.
Her fingertips gently brushed the hilt of her sword, her gaze piercing through the layers of waves, staring at the still-unseen island in the distance. Her tone was calm but held a hint of irrepressible sharpness. "Capturing the Donquixote Family has always been Sister Tsuru's long-cherished wish." Her voice was gentle, yet it carried a sharpness hidden in the wind. "But that flamingo... he's always as slippery as an eel." She sneered, a hint of disgust on her lips. "Tsk, so disgusting."
The sound of light footsteps, and a tall figure appeared beside her. Roy, wearing his Marine Justice coat, stood on the left side of the bow, looking in the same direction. The sea breeze lifted the hem of his robe, his entire being like a sword about to be drawn, his presence sharp and restrained.
"This time is different," his voice was low and powerful. "The Donquixote Family's forces are all gathered in Dressrosa. Intelligence says he's planning a big move on the island. Vice Admiral Tsuru has determined that this will be his moment of exposure."
Gion turned slightly, a corner of her lip curling up as she looked at him. "So the 'reinforcements' Sister Tsuru was talking about is you, huh?" She feigned a light-hearted snort. "I just finished suppressing a new type of pirate crew on the northern front and was thinking I could have a few days off. But then I received a direct transfer order, and even my route was changed to come here." She blinked, her tone teasing. "Little brother Roy~ you really are 'unexpected'."
Roy smiled helplessly. "Sister Gion still loves to joke with me." He then put away his smile and looked out at the distant sea, his expression gradually becoming calm. "I have some old scores to settle with Doflamingo too." His tone was low but held a hint of sharpness.
Gion was taken aback for a moment, then looked at him seriously. "You've fought him before? And he managed to escape from you?"
"Mm," Roy nodded, his tone complex. "I could have clipped his wings back then, but due to certain 'factors,' I let him go."
"As a result, he's still not giving up..."
A hint of inquiry appeared in Gion's eyes, but in the end, she just smiled lightly and didn't press the matter. "He's a Shichibukai now, a 'legal pirate' recognized by the World Government. Even we can't just make a move on him."
"Tsk," Roy snorted with contempt, his eyes as sharp as a blade. "Can that guy really resist doing something stupid? I'd rather he made a bigger move." Roy slowly turned his head and looked at Gion calmly, his voice low and sharp. "As long as he dares to show his fangs..."
"I will personally, one by one, pluck all his feathers."
"I'm really looking forward to that moment," Gion whispered, her fingers gently tapping the scabbard of her sword, the sound of metal on wood crisp and clear. "I hope this trip is not just about the pleasant sea breeze."
In the distant sea, the clouds rapidly lowered, and the sky was dyed a dark, inky shadow. The warship cut through the waves, its sails billowing like a drawn bow. The clouds piled up layer by layer, as if a storm were coming. It was the call of Dressrosa, and also the sound of the war drums for the coming clash of blood and justice.
Dressrosa, Secret Estate
Heavy velvet curtains blocked the sunlight, and in the dim council chamber, the air was filled with the smell of dampness and old incense. The core executives of the Donquixote Family were all present, sitting on either side of a long oval table, no one daring to speak first.
At the head of the table, Doflamingo had his fingers interlaced, leaning forward slightly, his elbows on the table. His eyes behind his sunglasses scanned the room, his presence making everyone feel as if they were sitting on pins and needles.
"Tap—tap—tap—"
His knuckles slowly tapped the table, the rhythm steady, each tap like a beat on everyone's heart.
Trebol, leaning on his cane, with sticky liquid dripping from his body, hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Y-Young Master... are we really going to do this?"
"That Roy... he's not an ordinary Marine now..."
Before he could finish, the air seemed to freeze. The atmosphere in the room instantly became still, and all eyes focused on Doflamingo.
"Fufufu..." Doflamingo suddenly chuckled, his laughter carrying a bone-chilling coldness. "Trebol, how come you're getting more and more cowardly as you get older?" He suddenly stood up, his hands slamming on the table, his cape swirling behind him, his face extremely gloomy in the backlight.
"Who am I?"
"I am now one of the officially recognized [Shichibukai] by the World Government!"
"A mere Marine Rear Admiral dares to stand in my way?! Is he qualified?! Fufufufu—!!!"
Everyone was intimidated by his presence. Pica's sharp voice was the first to sound. "The Young Master is right! What do we have to be afraid of?!"
Diamante waved his long sword and shouted excitedly, "Then let's do it! Let the Marines know how strong we are!"
"Hmph..." Doflamingo's lips curved into a satisfied smile, and he sat back in his chair, crossing his legs. "Besides, we are not fighting alone." He slowly raised his hand, his five fingers spread, as if to grasp the entire Dressrosa in his palm. "We have Kaido backing us."
"One of the 'Three Monsters' of the New World, the behind-the-scenes ruler of Wano Country. Isn't an ally like that enough to put your minds at ease?"
"With him here, a mere Marine Rear Admiral can only tuck his tail between his legs and behave."
The executives' eyes gradually became fanatical. Even the originally hesitant Trebol lowered his head and no longer objected.
Doflamingo's smile became even more savage. "I'm just taking back what's mine, fufufu..."
Trebol was silent for a moment, then spoke again. "Then the progress of Caesar's research, and the handover of the 'trade goods'..."
"Monet has already gone to keep an eye on Caesar," Doflamingo interrupted him, his tone impatient. "Jack from Kaido's crew just came by and brought Kaido's instructions. The request has already been arranged for Caesar to start researching."
"Those experimental subjects and 'arms orders' will also be put to use one after another."
He stood up, walked to the end of the room, and violently pulled open the curtains. "Swish—!" The dazzling sunlight instantly poured in, sweeping away the gloom in the room. His figure stood against the light, like a wild bird about to spread its wings.
"Now, our primary task is to completely control Dressrosa." He slowly raised his arm, his five fingers spread, as if to grasp the entire sky of Dressrosa in his palm. "The plan begins now."
At the same time, Dressrosa, West Port
A transport ship like a steel behemoth let out a deafening roar, its hull spewing thick black smoke, like an awakened ancient beast. The mammoth head sculpture at the bow was ferocious, its metal tusks glinting coldly in the sunlight, intimidating the entire sea area.
On the deck, a figure as burly as a mountain stood motionless, his black coat fluttering in the wind. "Hmph... a boring mission." Jack crushed the cigar in his mouth, his canine-like fangs glinting with a sinister cold light. He was only eighteen, but his presence was like a ferocious beast, his eyes filled with a cold killing intent as he scanned the gradually receding coastline of Dressrosa.
"That guy Doflamingo really thinks he's someone," he grinned, revealing a savage sneer. "If it weren't for Lord Kaido's orders, I wouldn't bother with this crap."
Behind him, a few of the pirate crew's grunts were trembling, not daring to speak.
Jack suddenly stomped on the ship's rail, and the steel deck groaned under the strain. "Hey! Faster!" he roared, his voice like thunder. "At this turtle's pace, when will we get back to Wano Country?!"
"B-But, Lord Jack..." the helmsman was sweating profusely. "This ship is already at its top speed..."
"Useless!" A fierce light flashed in Jack's eyes. He suddenly grabbed a nearby iron bucket and smashed it into the sea. "BOOM!!!" A monstrous wave erupted from the sea, and the transport ship shook violently. The crew was sent tumbling, terrified.
Jack laughed wildly, as if enjoying the fear of others. He turned and looked at the distant sea horizon, his eyes boiling with killing intent. "If anyone who doesn't know their place dares to stand in my way..." He suddenly clenched his five fingers, and the air seemed to be crushed. "...I'll crush them!!"
The transport ship, spewing black smoke, gradually disappeared into the sea mist, leaving only an arrogant roar echoing over the waves.
