My body trembled as I tried to compose myself from the horrors I'd just seen. Althea reached for my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
Like that was supposed to make me feel any better after I'd just seen her eyes go completely black, and the visions that messed up my perception.
"Did you recognize him?" she asked, and I shook my head. I'd never seen that face before, and just as I tried to materialize the image of his face in my mind, all I got was his red, ominous eyes.
"I-I can't even remember what he looked like," I said, and that sent a shiver trickling down my spine. "But he had red, evil-looking eyes. I'd recognize it anywhere."
Althea let out a sigh and suddenly lost her balance. Instinctively, I caught her, leaning her body against mine as I got her to stand on her feet.
"Are you alright?" I asked, worry etched on my face.
"Yeah. I get really dizzy when I share these visions," she said slowly, like it was hard to conjure words.
