I sprinted to the dormitory, my mind replaying the moment in the bathroom with Tavian.
The skies already grew dark, as the moonlight shone above the building.
I walked into the room, quietly shutting the door behind me as I walked back to my bed. Talia muttered, turning around in her bed and going back to her snoring.
"So?" Mira said from behind me and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I turned around to face, gripping my chest.
"You scared me," I breathed out as I let out an exasperated sigh.
"Do you want to tell me where you were or are we going to pretend like you really took that long of a shower?"
I sat on my bed, playing with my pillow as I met Mira's gaze briefly.
"I just went to the cafeteria for a quick snack," I lied.
She bit her lower lip , rolling her eyes as she let her arms fall to her sides, "We've been best friends for years Dahlia, but ever since we got here, you've been… different. I'm worried about you."
