Dahlia
Today felt different. I couldn't explain how or why, but it did. The skies were darker than usual, the air dense, and since I'd woken up, a dreadful feeling that something bad would happen clung to my bones. Maybe I was over-thinking, or my intuitions were messing with me.
I had unusual nightmares, but last night's nightmare was different. I'd seen the same horrific beast, but instead of being chased, I'd walked up to her and merged into her, until we became one.
I was in the library, looking for a book to delve into, any book that could give me any details about the power that burned inside me. But I couldn't find anything promising. It was all the same typical werewolf history…nothing on firebornes.
It made me wonder. Had a fireborne not existed in history before now?
I headed back to the table and groaned as I settled back in my seat. Mira looked at me.
"Still didn't find what you're looking for?"
