"Your… dream?" Kaedros asked, confused. "We're sorry if we were being loud. We were fighting..."
She cut him off, not unkindly, but impatiently. "They're truly ignorant, aren't they?" she said, addressing Thalso and Chef.
"Ignorant as my trees," Chef agreed. "You're the ignorant one, Nyra!"
Thalso grunted.
Nyra, the cat returned her gaze to them. "The castle no longer needed the library. So, my room was sealed. Your arrival triggered its opening. Apparently, we need a librarian again."
The castle seals rooms? Kaedros didn't like that. Not at all. His gaze flicked around the clearing, suddenly aware that they were in a room too, in some form. Rauk and Taria both visibly shivered.
Nyra noticed.
She purred, a laugh rumbling from her throat as she stretched. "Fear not. It takes years for a room to be sealed. It doesn't happen quickly, well, unless the master orders it."
Kaedros perked up. "This master. Who is he?"
Nyra didn't answer. She turned her attention instead to Taria.
