Tammi cast a spell, wrapping a towel around Yona's body as Dowdo came inside, ready to play its part as a makeshift massage table.
Yona laid down on Dowdo, placing a pillow under her head.
Tammi got to work gathering wood mana to heal and ease the tension in her muscles and bones.
"Ahh I swear you have such a talent Tams, I'll be so jealous when your hunky honey Solein comes back to marry you." Yona enjoyed teasing Tammi about his fiancé.
Tammi's face turned a bit red at the mention of his name.
"Oh hush, I don't know what you're talking about, we just dual cultivate sometimes hmm," he fanned his burning face looking away.
"Hahah, don't play coy and dodge the question, bitch!" Yona burst out laughing, looking at him over her shoulder.
He glared at her. "Not playing. I am a coy person naturally."
"Like I haven't walked in on you two a few times. Don't even get me started!" she snorted, waving him off.
Tammi purposely used too much strength. "Oww, oww, okay! Haha, why so salty if you know you're innocent?" she mocked under her breath, rolling her eyes.
"And I hope your eyes roll out of your head," Tammi shot back as he finished with her massage.
Yona sat up and pulled out three outfit choices:
• A snug royal purple and blue dress with choker neckline, open back, and a slit on the side reaching mid-thigh that hugged her figure like a second skin.
• A two-piece dress with a white long lacey sleeve shirt missing the shoulder part, showing off her smooth collarbone and slender neck. The skirt was black with white lace in a pattern of black fabric and white lace stripes.
• A ruby red, heart-shaped neckline, off-the-shoulder dress that hugged her thighs, stopping at her knees, with a long red flowy see-through lace wrapping the bottom like a mermaid tail adorned with red spider lily designs that trailed behind.
"Which one should I wear tonight?" Yona walked around, tapping her chin, having difficulty deciding as they were all really good choices. She turned to Tammi, waiting for his answer.
He had already grabbed the red lily dress and held it up for her to get changed.
She took it from him and kissed Tammi's cheek as she cast a changing spell.
Now dressed in the outfit—it hugged her lovely body perfectly.
Next, she quickly did her hair, braiding half of it into a low fairy crown, while the rest was twisted and wrapped into a tight low bun with bangs framing her heart-shaped face.
"Clump clump Nee!" They heard the horse carriage land outside.
They quickly made their way to the front door. Yona strapped on her black sandal strap heels, holding onto Tammi for balance.
"Knock, knock." The door was knocked a few moments later. Tammi opened it and let Yona exit first before following behind, closing and locking the door.
Haze the coachman waited with the carriage door already open.
"Oh, it's Haze—the only one who got away! How's my favorite handsome heartbreaker?" she called out with a seductive, teasing smile, walking like a slow, sensual feline.
Haze, used to Yona's wild and alluring nature, only smiled brightly. "And it is always a pleasure to see you as well, Lady Yona," he replied calmly and professionally.
Nodding to Tammi with a half bow, "Sir Tamithoy," he greeted.
"Tsk. Not even a blush this time, Haze—you've grown," Yona pouted, putting on a sad face.
As they walked up to the carriage, Haze stepped forward with his hand out, helping Yona up the steps.
"I've trained hard," came his reply.
"It's a shame, really. It always made my day to see your handsome face turn bright red like a little ember at the mention of my teasing words." Yona stopped in front of him, held his hand, and leaned in close, whispering in his ear, purposely letting her breath caress him, bringing a shiver. Leaning back fully, she was greeted with a lightly embered face.
"Alright, stop bullying Haze and get on the carriage before I push you in—we're gonna be late," Tammi chuckled, nudging Yona forward slightly.
Yona smiled, letting go of his hand, and ducked into the carriage like nothing happened. Tammi entered after her. Haze closed the door behind them, sat up front, and they set off toward the sky as the horses galloped, leaping into the air, heading for Elven's estate.
The ride was only a few minutes long.
Yona and Tammi had drinks inside the carriage, going down memory lane.
"I can't wait to see Faeth and Elven. It's been like, what, a year or more since we last saw them and got into some fun!" Yona swirled her drink, taking a sip of her red wine as she leaned back, crossing a leg over the other, reminiscing on good memories.
Tammi, who sat across from her, threw his head back and laughed. "Haha! So true—it's been a long time. Remember when Faeth wouldn't talk to you for a whole week after you tricked him into believing that if he pretended he was a rock and imagined he was a rock, he wouldn't be seen? He stood under the hive of crystal honey thinking they wouldn't attack him while he stole their honey!"
"Pfft, no! Who knew that idiot would only listen partly to what I said and actually tried that stunt! I've always used an invisibility spell to get the honey." Yona held her sides from laughing so hard.
"Hahahaha!"
They cracked up recalling how big and swollen Faeth's welts from the bee stings were all over his body. It took them two and a half days to remove all 246 stingers.
"Ahh, little Faeth," they both said simultaneously.
They felt the carriage land.
Yona and Tammi quickly finished their wine as Haze opened the door for them.
Elven and Faeth stood side by side, waiting for them, dressed in matching white and red suits.
Haze didn't get a chance to help Yona down as she beat him to it, already on the last step before launching herself into Faeth's open arms.
"Ahaha! I've missed you, love," Faeth held Yona as he spun her around.
"Haha! Me too, my little fae fairy!!" she shouted, hugging him back before he set her down gently.
"How are you, my sweet Yona?" Her hand was grabbed by Elven as she was tugged into a spin dip by him before he gave her a big warm hug.
"El babes, it's good to see you well!" Yona dramatically called out.
Tammi exited the carriage and Elven and he hugged.
"Tams, why haven't I got a wedding invitation sent to my door yet? Is Solein playing games?" Elven wrapped an arm over his shoulder.
"Oh shh, not you too!" he scolded him playfully, trying to hide his blush.
"Aww, look—he's blushing!" Yona teased, laughter thick in her tone, which earned her a slap on the arm from Tammi.
"Hmm," Yona stuck her tongue out at him.
He reached out after her.
"Ahh, someone help me—I'm in a toxic and abusive relationship," she screamed playfully, running around Faeth and Elven, using them as shields.
"Tsk. I've seen you haven't changed since childhood, Yona—sacrificing others to survive." Faeth glanced at her disdainfully when she pushed him in the way as a sacrifice.
"My babes, it's not personal. It's just strategy and survival at its finest," she coaxed, hiding behind Elven's large frame.
"Ahaha," they all burst into laughter as Faeth chased Yona all the way into the party, with Elven and Tammi not far behind.
