Astraea walked down the cobble road at a fast pace. Her extroverted energy was dissolving rapidly. She could never understand how her extroverted siblings could go for days at lavorished banquets without a pause. It was like their battery charged whenever they were socially active.
She could remember when she was home, her eldest and 3rd sister would come and annoy her by dragging her to party after party as if her own world was filled with drinks, music and a robust hemisphere.
The sooner Astraea could get away from that mysterious dark alley and the disconcerting shop owner. She looked down at the iridescent card in her hand. She couldn't imagine how it could hold 100 billions ctez. Back in her adolescent days, wealth were large stones known as mana crystals that were put in personal spatial pockets. But this was specific to only dragons; she wasn't sure about other races. But now that she thought about it; this card did seem more convenient.
The town of Shadow Grove opened up as the dingy alley was left behind. The vampires just outside the alley were casting weird and envious looks at her. Astraea steps were confident and strong; her long and thick tail swished from side to side, portraying her mood.
The fabric of her long purple dress brushed gently against the feet of passer-byers who walked too close to her. Instantly, the passer-byers were repelled no less than 10 feet away, crashing into other people or surrounding buildings.
The people who saw this instantly gave her a wide berth. They parted like Moses did the red sea. Their faces filled with fear and awe' their wary expressions muted any words that might have popped onto their heads in protest.
With a wicked smile and a slight sparkle in her lustrous emerald eyes, giving off a subtle hint of danger. Although no one knew the reason they felt that way. It wasn't until they smelled a poignant aroma wafting from the strange woman's body. It was extremely intoxicating to every vampire nearby. The smell didn't enthrall them but slowly poisoned them. The vampire's pallor became grey with green veins popping up all over their bodies. The sun that beat down on them slowly drained the vampire energy, making them turn to dust. This situation was unprecedented. Never in this history of Aerox has a vampire ever burned in the sun.
The frightened passer-byers couldn't distinguish whether it was the aroma of the strange woman's body or the sun that caused such a scene. It may have been possible for it to be a combination of the two.
Either way, Astraea finally breathed a sigh. It was nearly killing her to not make some sort of chaos. As an inheritor of both the Void and Chaotic dragon bloodline; it did indeed feel out of balance to not be a villain in some aspects in other people's lives. It just didn't feel right, spiritual. This semblance was a reason why the two bloodlines created a civil war in the first place.
With no harmony to speak of.
Such treachery.
Then again the two clans were in seclusion on their own planet. Had they entered the void a long time ago to cause chaos on other planets; there would not have been any civil war to speak of. Though the possibility could be negated.
"I have money in hand, now it's time to buy." Astraea murmured to herself. " I wonder how many lucky ones I'll find."
She scanned her eyes around the surrounding buildings. They were quaint and pristine; a beautified shopping stripe. But nothing that looked like it would sell slaves.
"Ill go back to the tea house. I can find more information there." Astraea turned on her heels and headed in the direction of the Charming vamp and tea house.
*****
"Hello My name is Chelsea Winters, welcome to Charming vamp tea and cake house." A gorgeous brunette smiled as she greeted.
Chelsea's purple eyes sparkled with excitement. The amazons that she had seen before were nowhere as tall as the beauty in front of her. She looked at the busty woman in front of her, who made her honeypot clench with need. Astraea was just her type.
Ahhh!! Yes Yes Yes!' Chelsea screamed eternally.
With a bright smile she led Astraea to a nicely cushioned seat in the middle of the tea house. Her mannerisms were restrained and professional as she introduced the menu. Her smile was infectious which made Astraea smile warmly in relaxation.
In the end she ordered a yellow tea named Vishit. It had the magical effect of strengthening the internal organs and regulating blood flow. It was just perfect for a newly awakened comatose patient. She also order a friands as a pastry to match her tea, though she knew the food had no nutritional value for her. It was still a good snack. At at least she hoped it would taste could.
How bad could they mess up a pastry.\?!
Five minutes later, Astraea found out just how bad they could possibly mess up a pastry. A flavorful nutty delight, How could they.
Its pure blasphemy.
The simmering dragon really wanted to throw the food in the pastry chef's face and knock over the table, walking out without paying for anything. But she couldn't, she had to be generous to day in order to get more information. It was truly infuriated.
Astraea was a dragon that didn't like mean things besides causing harm to others. The only other two things she liked were eating pastries and travelling. But now, after such a long sleep; why was it so hard to find a good pastry?
The dragon god must be mad at her. Torturing her with this thing they call a pastry. Is he not?
Astraea looked sorrowfully at the other uneaten pastries; gauging whether to just leave them there or chug them down her throat.
Whoa!
What a dilemma….
"Judging by your eyes, I can tell you don't like the Friands. Would you like any other pastry?" Chelsea asked with a mischievous smirk on her face. "What about the tea? How do you like it?"
Astraea shook her head harshly. "Nope, no more Friands. But the tea is good, I can feel the magic coursing through me. It's very soothing with a slight tingling and numbing sensation."
"I'm glad you like it, I made that tea myself." Chelsea's eyes sparkled. "How long are you going to stay in town?"
"Ah, for a while. Possibly a week. Actually I came here to buy slaves but I have no clue where the auction house is."
"Oh, it's in the center of town, far from here but it's not open yet. They only open at dusk. May I ask why you need slaves." Chelsea asked curiously.
"Let's just say my people's birth rates are down. Although humans' growth rate is slower, their genetics or more adaptable.
"Really, that's unfortunate." Chelsea sat down in front of her unceremoniously. "Can I ask a question?"
"Go ahead."
"Do they have to be slaves? Can a vampire help in this department?" She asked
Cocking an eyebrow. "If you're asking if Any willing male or female that's a free person wants to come to my home planet and help my people give birth then yes, I would be very accommodating to that. Are you asking for yourself?"
"Yes and no but how would the birth process go, since we are two different species? Will the children have any deformities or will the growth rate be stunted? I'm very curious."
"Dragons, especially void and chaotic dragons are pure in essence. To put it bluntly, unlike other species I could have severe children with any of my siblings or even my parents if I truly wanted and my children would come out healthy without any physical or mental disabilities. Our lineage comes from the supreme itself, making us by far superior to other species whether they like it or not."
"Then, say I gave birth to your offspring. How would that be versus if a human did it?"
"Good question, dragons are very adaptable but first tell me the difference between vampires and humans giving birth."
"Well for starters, I am a pure blood vampire and only pure blood vampires have the ability to procreate. The others do not because they are bitten and lose that function in their bodies. As for female vampires, we lay eggs much like spiders do in a web, they range from 50- to thousand at a time. But because purebloods are so rare, it's hard for the female to get pregnant but once we do, from the time we lay the eggs and they hatch. It takes roughly 2-3 months. After that it would take at least a millennium to be able to get pregnant again. Now the humans are different, both the males in either species can get multiple females pregnant at once versus the human females who can only have one child a year and. It takes 10 months for the baby to develop and then be born."
" You just answered your own question. When it comes to dragons. It depends on who the other parent is. If it's an interspecies relationship, then if the other parent is a female. Then she will be giving birth the way her natural species would. As far as dragons are concerned, because we have two genders, we can give birth slightly differently than if we were procreated with another dragon. With that being said the child that is born from a dragon will have the features of the other parent but because our DNA is so strong it will hinder the DNA of the other parent. And the different traits of the other parent would be bare minimum. ." Astraea tapped her fingers on the table.
"Well that was a relief. I know some species split DNA from both partners and incubate a fetus. Although I don't know how it's done."
" Oh we do that as well, but the procedure is not as over the top as you may think. It's more magical than a device lingering." Astraea. " Back to my earlier question. We're asking for yourself or others?"
"Both my sisters and I have been single for centuries with no significant other. That's not the worrying part, we just want children but we have yet to find a mate we would be willing to have them with."
"Also we long to go to other planets and see what is out there."
Astraea nodded in understanding. " I completely understand the sentiment. This conversation has been very educational. If you and your sister would like to join me that is fine but will you be able to stand it. My home Planet is nothing like yours for instant food, it's very different. "
" That's okay, pureblood vampires live off a planet named Proto Zoa. It's the only thing that can sustain us and it can grow anywhere. It's very versatile." Chelsea said, it's those vines you saw when you first entered the town. Now there are just decorations but each pureblood nurtures our own."
"incredible, such an inconspicuous planet can have such an effect." Astraea murmured to herself. "How about this, I will meet you here with your sisters in about three hours. If by the end of the meeting we all come to some kind of agreement then I will take you all with me. By the way, you won't be stuck on my home planet, you will be able to move through the different voids on my planet.
"What is your planet's name?' Chelsea asked. They have been having the whole conversation about going to another planet but she had no idea what it was called or where it was located.
" Nexyx, located in the apex of all galaxies." Astraea smiled lightly.
"Ahh uh." Chelsea nodded her head blankly. Although she didn't understand, she had a very good feeling about going there.
