Chapter 59 — The Death of a King

The top floor of Arasaka Tower was never meant for war.

Marble floors, gilded walls, priceless art — all of it stained with fresh blood and bullet holes.

The penthouse, once a throne room of corporate royalty, now burned under the fury of betrayal and gunfire.

Alaric stepped through shattered glass doors, boots crunching over debris.

His coat hung open, gun low at his side, eyes locked on the man waiting at the heart of the chaos.

Yorinobu Arasaka.

Drenched in black combat armor, hair tied back in a warlord's knot — face contorted with fury.

"You think you can take my legacy?!" Yorinobu's voice cracked like a whip across the penthouse.

Alaric met his glare, calm as death.

"You buried your legacy the day you killed your father."

The room shuddered as a sniper shot cracked through the glass wall.

Panam's round hit dead center — splitting open the skull of Yorinobu's right-hand guard.

Rogue stormed through the side door, shotgun belching fire — dropping two more Arasaka elites before they could react.

Evelyn moved with predatory grace at Alaric's right, twin SMGs spitting venom into the remaining guards.

Judy covered the flank, cold eyes, precise shots.

Blood misted the penthouse air — expensive art torn to ribbons behind the onslaught.

Yorinobu let out a guttural roar, snatching a sleek Arasaka katana from his back — mono-edge blade humming with lethal energy.

"I'll gut you myself!"

He charged.

Alaric didn't flinch.

He met Yorinobu head-on — katana unsheathed in a flash of chrome, intercepting the first wild strike with a metallic scream.

The force rattled the floor beneath them.

Yorinobu came in fast — strikes savage, brutal — every slash meant to kill.

But Alaric was faster.

He moved like a ghost in the storm — parrying, stepping aside, blade ringing against Yorinobu's with sparks flying between them.

Their swords locked — faces inches apart.

"You're nothing but a street thug with a death wish!" Yorinobu hissed.

Alaric smirked, eyes cold.

"And you're a dead king."

He broke the lock — feinting low, twisting Yorinobu's arm, disarming him with a brutal wrist snap.

Yorinobu staggered, eyes wide.

Alaric flipped the katana in his grip — and with a clean, merciless thrust, he drove the blade straight through Yorinobu's chest.

The corporate heir gasped — eyes flashing shock, rage… betrayal.

"Hanako… betrayed me…" he rasped, blood bubbling at his lips.

Quiet footsteps approached from behind.

Hanako stood beside Alaric — her pristine white gown untouched by battle, her face unreadable.

"You betrayed yourself," she whispered.

Yorinobu collapsed — the weight of his empire crashing down with him.

The penthouse fell silent… except for the quiet hum of the city far below.

Hanako met Alaric's eyes — a nod of silent understanding passing between them.

Behind him, Panam lowered her rifle. Rogue reloaded with a grin. Evelyn and Judy shared a brief glance — the tension between them softening in the aftermath.

The Arasaka empire shifted on silent feet — a new order written in blood.
