"Mr. Regulus Harvey, a pleasure. Please, have a seat."
The man wearing sunglasses smiled gently and gestured toward the chair across from him.
His name was Liu Feiyun, the leader of Liu Gang. In Yan, such a person would be referred to as the "gang boss." It was said that his original surname wasn't Liu, but by the rules of Liu Gang, anyone who became the leader had to take on that name—meant to honor the gang's original founder.
Not that any of that mattered to Revy.
As the Yan saying went: Don't slap someone who greets you with a smile. Besides, Revy wasn't here to stir up trouble, so he calmly took the offered seat.
"...I assume you already know why I'm here, Boss Liu?"
"No need to rush. Let's enjoy some tea while we talk."
Liu Feiyun deflected casually, turning to the steward beside him:"Uncle Liu, serve the tea!"
Revy immediately went quiet.
Liu Feiyun's move was obvious—he did have the cargo and wanted to feel out how important it was to Rhodes Island. By testing Revy's reaction, he'd gauge its true value.
And Revy? He was perfectly content to play along with the charade.
The tea was brought over quickly. A rich green brew, as clear and vibrant as liquid jade.
"Good tea."
After a sip, Revy nodded."Smooth and sweet, clean aroma—top-quality Biluochun. You've put some thought into this, Boss Liu."
His smile was easy and composed, as if he were in no rush to get to business. But a bead of cold sweat had already started to form on Liu Feiyun's forehead.
He hadn't expected Rhodes Island to respond this fast.
It was true: Liu Gang had intercepted one of Panlong Society's trucks after they hijacked it—and discovered that very valuable cargo. It had seemed like a stroke of fortune.
Now it was clearly a curse.
Had it been anyone else from Rhodes Island, he might've tried to bargain more aggressively. But Regulus Harvey... was a different matter altogether.
This was the man said to be the world's strongest Catastrophe Messenger, known to possess immense power and connections. Rumors said he was involved in the Chernobog incident... and might've been the reason Reunion withdrew.
Liu Feiyun wasn't delusional—he knew Liu Gang couldn't possibly match a monster like that.
"Mr. Regulus, I've heard some things."
Feiyun's tone became more cautious."There's a rumor that a certain piece of... cargo we picked up may be related to Rhodes Island—"
"Not 'related'—it is Rhodes Island's property."
Revy cut him off coldly.
"And Liu Gang didn't stumble upon it. You intercepted one of Panlong Society's trucks as it passed through your turf. The cargo inside was a surprise to you, sure. But don't pretend it was an accident."
Liu Feiyun's expression stiffened.
Revy had exposed the whole operation without a trace of subtlety—and the gang boss wasn't pleased about being put on the spot like this.
"You must understand, Mr. Regulus—my gang has over 300 mouths to feed."
Feiyun tried to keep calm."Yes, we seized the truck, but this matter should be between Rhodes Island and Panlong Society, not us. At most, we were caught in the middle."
It was a smart attempt at passing the blame. Rhodes Island could crush Liu Gang easily—but going after Panlong Society would be a different story.
"I'll deal with Panlong Society separately."
Revy slowly swirled the tea in his cup, blew on it gently, and took another sip.
"But that doesn't justify you hijacking my cargo."
"—You!"
A deep, booming voice interrupted him. One of the men standing at Liu Feiyun's side—a towering, muscular giant—finally lost his temper.
"You lost your goods to Panlong, and now you expect to take them back from us without compensation? Boss respects you, but if you keep pushing—don't blame me for not being polite!"
Revy glanced sideways at the man, utterly unbothered.
"Looks like you don't keep your men on a tight leash, Boss Liu."
"—Kunlun!"
Feiyun snapped."I'm negotiating with Mr. Regulus. Who gave you permission to speak? If you interrupt again, go recite the gang code!"
"...Yes, Boss."
The man called Kunlun reluctantly backed off, but the anger in his eyes remained. He stared daggers at Revy—clearly itching to start a fight.
Revy sighed lightly.
"Seems words alone won't get us anywhere."
"Mr. Regulus, I assure you, Kunlun's outburst wasn't on my orders—"
Liu Feiyun was trying to salvage the mood."If it would help, I'll have him step outside. Or, if it pleases you, I'll apologize on his behalf."
"No need."
Revy smiled faintly—but there was a glint in his eye.
"A little fire in a young man isn't a bad thing. I used to have quite a temper myself."
He put down his teacup, stretched lazily, then turned his attention directly to Kunlun.
"Didn't you say you were gonna teach me a lesson?""Well—here's your chance. Let's see it."
