Chapter 41 - Theresa (Interlude End)

The exhaustion of Revy's mind finally transformed into something like madness. But that visceral, spiritual sensation—Compared to any physical merging—was far more profound and real.

For the first time in four years…Revy experienced true release.Like a tired child resting in their mother's arms, dreaming a dream they never wanted to wake from.

The haze after passion settled in, leaving him in rare and peaceful slumber—For a long, long time…

Until he finally opened his eyes.

Before him lay the sleeping girl—Talli.

No.In this moment, she had become completely one with the figure in Revy's memory.

Theresa slept quietly. Her soft eyelashes fluttered gently with each breath.Faint tear tracks still remained on her cheeks, a lingering trace of the emotional storm they had just weathered.

Revy's heart trembled.

His memory was intact. What had just occurred between him and this "Theresa"…was etched with vivid clarity in his mind.

He reached out with a trembling hand, wanting to touch her face. But guilt flooded him.He didn't know how to face this—what they had just done.

Even if this was just a dream…Even if the girl before him was technically not the "real" princess…She shared Theresa's personality, her memories—no, perhaps she was even more.

She was… Theresa reincarnated, in full memory and form.

"Don't look at me like that—""It makes me sad."

It was Theresa who broke the silence. She propped herself up with one hand, the other gently caressing Revy's cheek.

"It's the first time you've ever treated me so… roughly, Revy."

From some perspective, even she didn't fully understand what she felt for Revy.

She was a complete memory of Theresa, but with a mind of her own, a soul, and four years of shared experience with Revy.

So when Revy finally lost control and took her like a raging bull…She was shocked to realize—She desired it too.

She craved this man.Not for the feelings he had for the late princess—But for herself. For this version of her that only existed for him.

She gave in.Screamed.Forgot everything. And dissolved into his embrace.

After all…This was their private space—a secret world no outsider could ever enter.

So, when she saw guilt in his eyes…She felt only tenderness.

"Ter—Talli, I…"

A finger pressed gently against his lips, silencing him.

"Call me Theresa, if that's what you wish."

She hugged him softly. Her touch made Revy's body stiffen.

"I'm a fragment of her past—an incomplete 'Theresa'.""But you… gave me life. A way to 'exist' anew.""So I'm no longer just her memory.""I've become something different—something that belongs to you."

"Don't feel like you owe me anything. Even if I'm only a mirage—please, treat me as someone real... and love me, Revy."

She looked up at him and offered her lips.

Revy froze for less than a second—Then melted into the sweetness.

Scene Transition

"…He's still not awake?"

Kelsey frowned slightly as she looked at the man still sound asleep in bed.

Tomorrow was the day of the meeting with Lungmen, and yet Revy—Since the night he'd received the briefing—had been asleep, completely disconnected from the waking world.

"Yes, Doctor Kelsey."Beside her, a young Ursus girl handed over a report."All vital signs are normal. Originium concentration in the blood is well within safe limits… I really don't know why he won't wake up."

"No need to worry. Thank you, Ayaf."

Kelsey cut her off, waving her away.

"Go check the afternoon surgical schedule in the infirmary for me."

After the girl left, Kelsey stared at Revy in concern.

She knew full well that the "data" Ayaf saw had been altered—by herself.

(This kind of dream-induced coma… could it be related to that unusual Originium fusion rate inside him?)(But if that's the case…)(Why is he still alive?)

Back in the Dream

"I wish time would just stop… never move again."

Theresa murmured softly. She leaned comfortably against Revy's chest.

"Then let me never wake up again… okay?"

Revy's voice had lost all its tension. He seemed genuinely at peace. If one looked closely, they might even spot a faint smile at the corner of his lips.

It was the first time in four years he had worn such an expression.

"No, you can't do that."Theresa shook her head gently with a smile."You still have things to do, don't you?"

She smoothly shifted the subject.

"And about the 'Gore Magala' bloodline… until that issue is fully resolved, Revy, you must avoid using your Originium Arts as much as possible.""Unless it's a matter of life and death."

"Funny—whenever someone says that, it always means we're about to run into one of those situations. What a flag you just set."

"Hmph. Smart mouth."

She playfully punched his chest.

"Even so, promise me you'll run if you can. No playing hero."

"…Alright. I get it."

He wanted to say more. But all that remained was a quiet sigh.

He knew…Once he left, she would be alone again.Waiting, endlessly, in silence.

And he knew…The better he lived, the more joy he could bring her here.

"…Will we see each other again?"

"I'll always be here, waiting for you.""Whenever you want… you can return to me.""But now… you need to wake up."

"They need you out there, in the real world."

Yes.The dream…Had to end.
