"COME on, come with me. I'll help you get rid of your fear," Gilbert said affectionately and then carried Cherry out of the room. "Don't be afraid. Leave everything to me," he added as he left their suite.
Cherry seemed like a child, snuggling into the man's muscular chest, and the warmth emanating from his body made her feel at ease.
Gilbert's rescue of her earlier was still clear in her eyes. It was as if he was an angel who had come down to earth to help her from the demons.
A black SUV quickly left the parking lot of the building driven by Gilbert. Cherry was sitting next to it, in the passenger seat and wrapped in a thin blanket.
"If you're sleepy, take a nap first," Gilbert said to Cherry when he glanced at her snuggling next to him.
Cherry couldn't sleep at that moment even if she wanted to. As she closed her eyes, she could see in her mind the trauma that had befallen her just now.
