Before attending the Tarot Club this time, Xia Ai'er had made ample preparations.
He first used sacrifice and ritual magic to borrow the ability of a Wraith to transform into a spirit body.
Then he accommodated the Sealed Artifact formed by combining the Bard characteristic.
After arriving at the Gray Mist, according to his plan, he decided that in this place, independent of the historical fog of the real world, he would use the 'Crimson Star's' ability to connect the Fourth Epoch and the Fifth Epoch, to 'bestow' the lowest-level Sealed Artifact contained in his spirit body to his past self.
The result of the experiment was a failure.
The Sealed Artifact within Xia Ai'er's body failed to travel through time back to the past; instead, it was pulverized by a certain power, turning into fragments that began to re-condense into Beyonder characteristics.
Unfortunately, Xia Ai'er, for concealment, had not taken the Sealed Artifact out of his body, and these characteristic fragments were absorbed by his spirit body before they could re-condense.
What use is this Bard characteristic to me?
Xia Ai'er felt like 'eulogizing' the Sun.
"The Kingdom of the Sun, the Emperor of Intis, Emperor Rosell?"
Xia Ai'er lightly coughed and said.
This was the first Emperor of the Fifth Epoch.
Although he wanted to complain more about the Sun Pathway not playing fair, coming to deceive, to entice, to ambush him, a Secrets Supplicant.
"That's right, it's him. I want you all to collect his diary, provisionally named 'diary'."
"Fool" Klein smiled.
"I heard that this... diary, was written by Emperor Rosell using mysterious characters or symbols he invented?"
"Justice" Audrey asked.
"Yes, so far no one has found the correct way to interpret it, at least not in my knowledge."
But this "Fool" seemed to understand it. Alger glanced at the Fool, somewhat suspicious.
"Emperor Rosell still has descendants alive. Even the Steam Church cannot decipher these diaries, which can only mean that Emperor Rosell left these diaries for other purposes."
"Being indecipherable is actually a good thing. Knowledge also has weight."
Xia Ai'er said nonchalantly.
His attention was mostly still on the recent experiment; his experiment hadn't completely failed, only half failed.
He had indeed sent a Sealed Artifact to the Fourth Epoch... though not the one he had already accommodated and absorbed.
But this could be a good start, right? Probably?
The speaker was unintentional, but the listener was attentive. Klein, hearing the information provided by Xia Ai'er, instantly realized that rosell's diary might indeed be left for other transmigrators.
How did Rosell know there would be a second transmigrator?
Suddenly, the weight of rosell's diary in Klein's heart soared.
"Miss Justice, let's try something."
"Fool" Klein began to teach Audrey how to project her thoughts onto paper.
"Mr. Fool, can you see my inner thoughts?"
Audrey asked, looking at the "Fool" with some unease.
This future Telepathist felt fear towards the ability to read minds.
"No, I am merely a guide, helping you to imprint the inner thoughts you wish to express."
Klein lowered his voice to soothe her.
If he could read minds, it wouldn't be bad, but he truly couldn't.
"This sounds like taking inner thoughts out and putting them on paper."
"Mr. Fool is truly amazing."
"This is much harder than writing with spirituality."
Xia Ai'er praised, his hand extending spirituality, shadows weaving into black paper. His fingers glided across the paper, and pure white runes were imprinted on the surface.
Spirituality as paper, mind as pen.
Corruption as base, pure white as description.
Xia Ai'er, now a Pinduoduo version of light and darkness in one, had high spirituality and mental strength.
The "Fool" and the other two watched as "Angel" elegantly wrote the ancient Fusac runes for "Praise the Fool."
Praise the Fool?
Klein muttered to himself.
Why do I feel like someone is planning to harm me?
"Angel, you're so amazing."
"Justice" Audrey's eyes sparkled.
"This is not something an ordinary Beyonder can do."
"Hanged Man" Alger also said.
He felt this was a special ability of the Pathway "Angel" was on, just as the Storm pathway was better at sea combat.
"Even some weak spirits can, to a certain extent, create illusions and interfere with reality."
"What's more, a human?"
Xia Ai'er crushed the paper in his hand; he had casually written "Praise the Fool."
This made him reflect: was this the influence of the Bard characteristic?
Secrets Supplicant + Bard, is this a premonition of a fanatic?
Luckily, he had no faith.
"I am someone who believes in equivalent exchange. If you can collect more diaries, I will give you more rewards."
"Fool" Klein said in a tone that suggested he didn't want to take advantage of a child.
"That's truly wonderful."
Audrey happily clenched her fist, then looked at "Angel" and "Hanged Man" and asked:
"Gentlemen, do you have anything else to remind me about being a 'Spectator'?"
Xia Ai'er and Alger exchanged glances.
Alger spoke first:
"You must remember, a Spectator is only a Spectator."
"Only by maintaining an absolutely detached attitude can you, through observation, capture the actors' truest thoughts."
"That sounds interesting."
Audrey listened carefully, then looked at Xia Ai'er.
"I emphasize one point: the existence of a Spectator is to interfere with the performance on stage."
"Observation is merely a means; manipulation is the goal."
"Whether you're holding a gun to force the actors to dance to your liking, or exerting influence through various social connections, how to make the 'actors' value the 'Spectator's' opinion is the only thing you need to consider."
Xia Ai'er explained a bit of his own understanding.
Are you an Angel or a Demon?
"Fool" Klein looked at "Angel," whose black hair cascaded like a waterfall, through the hazy mist and complained.
This person's character could already be somewhat discerned from these words.
"Angel, I don't quite understand what you mean."
"Justice" Audrey was not quite accustomed to Xia Ai'er's straightforward way of speaking.
"Angel, a Spectator only needs to be a good Spectator. If they try to immerse themselves in the drama, they will be influenced by the characters within it."
Alger frowned slightly; he felt that Angel's idea was a bit extreme.
"Is that so?"
"Does a Sailor have to be a Sailor on a ship their entire life?"
"An excellent Sailor knows from the moment he steps onto the sea that his existence is to challenge the Storm."
Xia Ai'er's three sentences utterly defeated "Hanged Man" Alger.
Alger's head was spinning, feeling even dizzier than when he had just heard the "Fool's" hint about the acting method.
Wasn't he just a slightly bigger 'Sailor' now?
Why didn't he have such thoughts?
"Angel, you're so amazing."
"Justice" Audrey was equally shocked; even though she still had a slight aversion to Xia Ai'er's words about manipulating others, she instinctively memorized his words.
