Chapter 19 - Chapter 18

I swiftly swung my katana without unsheathing it to block several kunai flying in my direction.

One of the jonin appeared behind me, using a shunshin technique. With the Mystic Palm Technique, I blocked the jonin's attack while using the katana's scabbard to deflect more kunai.

"Oh, a combat medical ninja, something new," the man said mockingly.

Minato and Kosuke were already fighting the other three; incidentally, the sounds of clashes could be heard elsewhere. I didn't know how many enemy ninja there were, but there was only one thing left to do: run.

I tried to attack the jonin with the Mystic Palm Technique, but he used Substitution, dodging the attack.

I drew my Etto and enveloped it in earth chakra, making the blade as hard and sharp as if it were a diamond sword.

There was a chunin attacking with kunai in the distance; I caught one with my hand, drawing blood. Using the Substitution Jutsu, I positioned myself a little further away. I quickly formed hand seals.

"Summoning Jutsu," I said, summoning Katsuyu.

"Miss Miyu, it's been a long time," she said pleasantly.

"There's no time, Tsuyu. Split up and go to Kosuke and Minato quickly."

"Yes, sir," she said, splitting herself and scattering her clones in many places, one landing near me.

"That's the Sannin Tsunade's summoning technique," the jonin said in surprise.

I knew she was going to say something else, but I wasn't going to let her. I buried my sword in the ground and formed a hand seal.

"Earth Release: Mud Dragon Bomb Jutsu," I said, and a mud dragon emerged, firing multiple mud balls.

The jōnin formed hand seals and created a wall of earth, blocking the attack.

The chunin, seizing the opportunity, fired multiple earth bullets at me from behind.

I jumped, dodging the multiple attacks, only to see a mud dragon hurtling toward me.

Forming hand seals, I launched a massive ball of water, stopping the enemy attack.

(Note: To make the fights flow more smoothly, I'll omit describing some jutsu unless absolutely necessary, such as the summoning jutsu, or if it's a new jutsu.)

"How are the others?" I asked Katusyu, moving further away.

"Not very well. More and more enemy ninjas are appearing around them. At this rate, everyone will die. You can't fight that many ninjas at once," the slug said.

Hearing this made me furious. Damn monkey for sending us to this place.

The chunin who was here lunged at me, trying to kill me, but I blocked his attack with my forearm, and, using brute strength combined with chakra control, I punched him in the chest, completely destroying his torso and covering it in a large amount of blood.

The chunin let out a muffled groan before falling dead to the ground.

"Damn it," the jonin said to me, launching multiple earth bullets into the air.

I moved behind the trees to block most of the bullets.

Now I have to make a decision: escape alone or help my comrades. If I help my comrades, I'll have to reveal some secrets I'd rather not reveal.

He created multiple explosive clones, which were launched at the jonin. They exploded as soon as they got close to the enemy, forcing them to focus on them, since they didn't have the same level of defense as the other elite jonin who could easily escape multiple explosions.

I quickly created a tunnel that ended behind the enemy; I had to eliminate it quickly to get to where Kosuke and Minato were.

Just as he was dealing with an explosive clone, I appeared behind him, sword ready to cut him down. The moment I was about to attack, several earth spikes erupted from the ground, piercing my body.

One went through my leg, another my forearm, another my abdomen, another my chest, and another my thigh.

This caused my clones to dissipate, so my enemy turned and kicked me, sending me flying and crashing into a tree.

Blood began to flow from various parts of my body and my mouth.

"Miss Miyu," I heard Katsuyu's worried voice say as she tried to heal me.

"I confess, Takichi," said the user of the technique that left me like this, appearing beside my opponent.

"I almost didn't make it," he said.

At that moment, I realized I had to act; I couldn't be like this with the world anymore, because this place is cruel, and it would treat me the same way. So, I just had to be the same—anything to survive.

"MASORCA," I shouted into the air, leaving the two jonin staring at me strangely.

"What did he say?"

"I don't know, stop being so delusional about death, right?" the other one said, laughing, only to see his companion falter for a second before getting up. "Hey, what the—" I couldn't finish, because his companion slit his throat with incredible speed.

At that moment, the Iwa jonin returned to normal, seeing that his companion was dead.

"Wait, what—" I couldn't finish, because his neck fell to the ground, and he died.

I started to stand up while I healed myself with Katsuyu's help.

"At your service, my lady," said 3 and 5.

"Kill everyone except my teammates. Do it in the dark. You are forbidden to die. Follow me. Oh, and one of them must be left behind to extract information," he gave the order.

"Understood," they said in unison.

This is my only option. I can only spare those I trust, and I hope they keep this secret for a while. That's why everyone except them must die, even my fellow villagers.

I took a chakra pill from a scroll and rushed to the field where Kosuke and Minato were.

I quickly reached them. I saw them both badly injured but still alive, now fighting four jonin and three chunin.

Minato was badly hurt; I think Katsuyu is holding him up. Kosuke was without his Sharingan; he could sense his low chakra levels, and he was also missing an ear and had a paralyzed arm.

"Reinforcements?" one of the enemy ninjas asked.

I wasn't going to hold back anymore; I was going to save my friends; otherwise, I wouldn't be much different from Danzo, and I'd never allow that.

"Wood Release: Appearance of the Deep Forest," I shouted, striking the ground, causing multiple trees and wooden pillars to envelop the area.

This shocked everyone, allowing me to make my next move.

"Wood Release: Multiple Wooden Spears," I said.

Many branches emerged from the trees, transforming into spears and flying at the enemies.

"Damn it, escape—" he tried to give an order, but a wooden spear pierced his neck, killing him.

Some enemies managed to escape the attack, so I attacked again.

"Wood Release: Tree Binding Technique," I said, and the surrounding roots and those in the ground began to ensnare the enemies, preventing them from dodging the wooden spears and killing them, or trapping them and impaling them anyway.

After a minute, the four jonin and three chunin were dead.

Kosuke and Minato were speechless at what they saw.

"Is this the First Hokage's element?" Kosuke asked, his mouth agape.

Minato said nothing, just stared at me in astonishment.

"You're badly injured; unlike me, you can't heal and fight at the same time. Stay here; I'll go help the others," I told them.

Minato and Kosuke stared at each other, waiting for Minato to turn and speak.

"Alright, as soon as we're recovered, we'll go help you with Katsuyu's help," Minato said.

"Okay, see you there." And with that, I left, wearing a sunshine.

I was already close to what remained of the battlefield. I sensed that only two Leaf ninja and twelve Iwa ninja remained.

I gripped my katana, realizing it was a chakra conduit and that it also helped me perform jutsu more effectively.

I enveloped the katana with Wood Release, transforming it into a wooden katana.

"3 and 5," I said.

"Yes," they both replied, appearing beside me.

"Remember, kill everyone; leave only one enemy alive," I reminded them of my order.

"Understood," they said, vanishing.

At that moment, I leaped onto the battlefield.

"What's that? A girl?" an Iwa ninja asked.

I didn't let them continue, as I buried Etto in the ground and swiftly formed hand seals.

"Wood Release: Birth of a World of Trees Jutsu," I spoke, and, using almost all of my chakra, I performed the jutsu.

From Etto, multiple Greek roots and trees began to sprout, laying waste to everything in their path, taking both enemies and allies with them.

But this wasn't going to kill them; it was only going to leave them badly wounded and trapped, since this wasn't at the level Madara had used it against the Allied Shinobi Forces.

This drained me, since using Wood Release jutsu consumes a lot of chakra. Depending on the amount of chakra used, it becomes harder and more resistant, and to kill jonin-level ninjas, I had to use a lot of chakra.

I dropped to one knee and began to breathe heavily.

At that moment, 3 and 5 emerged from the darkness and began to finish off the ninjas, both from Earth and Leaf. They left only one Iwa ninja alive, but unconscious.

I saw the mess I'd made.

"Not bad for an 8-year-old," I told myself.

At that moment, Tools 3 and 5 appeared beside me with the hostage, bound and unconscious.

"Task completed, my lady," they said.

I didn't say anything immediately; I just walked slowly to a tree and sat down.

"Well done," I said simply, took out another chakra pill, and consumed it.

I felt my chakra return, enough to allow me to walk normally.

I stood up and walked over to where the hostage was. Using my blood, I began to form a seal on the Iwa ninja's heart; when I finished, I made the hand seal to activate the jutsu.

"Tool 5, start extracting all the information you have," I told him.

"Yes, sir," Tool 5 replied, and using the Yamanaka clan's jutsu, he began to examine the enemy ninja's memories.

Meanwhile, I waited, hoping my strength would return while the other three stood guard.

After about five minutes, Minato and Kosuke appeared. They were still injured, but not as badly as before.

"You're late," I joked.

"What the hell happened here?" he asked, still in shock.

"I had to act, but the enemy ninja killed all our comrades. Faced with this, I used the most powerful jutsu in my arsenal to stop the enemy, and I managed to capture one alive to extract information." I twisted the truth; I couldn't say I ordered the killing of our village's ninja, so this is better.

"And who are these ninja?" Minato asked.

"They're Root ANBU whose job is to protect me on behalf of Danzo, since I'm currently working with some ninjutsu. He left these people with me to be by my side," I told another lie, trying to sound as believable as possible.

"I see," Minato said, his teeth clenched as he looked at the dead Leaf ninja.

I didn't say anything; I was completely exhausted, both physically and mentally.

"I want to ask you both something," I said. That caught their attention: "I want you to keep quiet about what happened here."

"What do you mean?" Kosuke asked.

"It should be a clan secret that I have Wood Release; I had to use it to save your life and try to stop the enemy, not to mention my secret escort. It can't be known that I have Wood Release, at least not until I become a Chunin, since I can't protect myself right now."

They both paused, lost in thought. The reason I can only use Wood Release freely as a Chunin is because I'll be able to assume leadership of the Senju clan, and by default, I'll be protected by the clan, preventing them from harming me.

I think Minato realized this.

"Alright, I don't like lying to the Hokage, but since you had to do this to save our lives, I'll do you this favor," he said.

"That's right, without you and your power, we'd already be dead."

I smiled at them both.

"Thank you very much; we already had an idea of what to say to the Hokage. Meanwhile, we'll wait and see what information we can get out of him, and then we'll leave," I said, sitting back down and looking at the hostage.

"Is that a seal?" Minato asked, looking at the hostage.

"It's a seal that suppresses chakra, in case he wakes up," I replied.

After about five more minutes, Tool 5 finished its work.

"Alright, let's get out of here," I told Minato and Kosuke. "You two, destroy all the bodies and, if you can, the place; don't leave anything that can track the Wood Release; then come back to us," I ordered.

"Yes, sir," they said, going to collect the bodies.

My team and I then went to a place to rest and heal before returning to the village to report on this failed mission.

---------------------------------------------------------------

This chapter might be somewhat controversial, but Miyu's decision was to save her friends and conceal her secrets as much as possible. Furthermore, Miyu's use of Wood Release is rather clumsy, but her creativity and flexibility allowed her to pull it off, not to mention that the enemy wasn't expecting something like this, which is why it worked so effectively.

Miyu possesses Wood Release naturally, just like Hashirama, which is why she can use it so powerfully and better than even Yamato or Tenzo.
