The Great Leader POV
The operation by our allies had proven unfruitful. Still, we did not receive any failures, and no consequences were brought upon us. I was watching the tournament run by our rivals, finding ways to put my people on each team. One team could use some new staff members, and another could get better players. Maybe some people could be put on the staff themselves. They are alert now, so we needed to do this carefully.
That's when one of my officers came barging into the room in a panic. He screamed," Great Leader, the FSRL heathens have raided our ally's bases, destroying every one of their bases. They have also removed people we snuck into their staff as well!" Oh dear me, how frustrating those rats could be. He then continued, saying," Multiple members have either been captured, hurt, or killed."
I then raised my hand to calm him down, saying," Be calm, child, begin our emergency protocol level Y." He accepted the order, and soon all evidence of our involvement will disappear. Once he left, I looked at and told my right-hand man," Begin our operation and contact the players we have sent." He nodded, bowed, and soon left to do his duty.
Soon enough, I watched the screen as the next race was beginning. I saw the creator of their horrid music amongst her teammates. Our next target, Agent Ebony. She came out, and I saw she had a guitar with her. Why, this relay wasn't an obstacle race?
She soon got her guitar and started shredding it on television, playing a non-pop instrumental song for almost 5 minutes. She then made a hand gesture and screamed," Rock and Roll baby!!" She then handed her guitar to the staff, as I felt that whole scene was just inserted to anger me. I hated how those non-believers cheered for such a sinful sound. I hated how much they loved it and accepted that it was good music.
This work only has one good piece of music, and it is pop. Soon they line up in their fancy new gates. Which were made thanks to Agent Ash dealing major damage to so many players last time that it caused rule changes. This gate had a button at the back so players could click it to release the next player. They're literally all lined up inside like sardines too, with the staff clicking to open for the lead-off.
Which is actually connected to the start whistle. Soon, everyone lined up, and it seems the Broncos put in Agent Ebony, Captain Primrose, and unknown players' names Agent Onyx and Agent Celeste. This is on dirt, so it's Ebony's specialty, and Primrose is adaptable like crazy, but the other two are unknowns. They look like they hit hard, but this isn't an obstacle race, so this placement is weird so far. I also noticed the screen informing viewers that every leg, the first finisher will get an interview and that they will interview everyone even as the race goes on.
That's very interesting, and the audience could now get to know each player in a more personal way. We'll have to see how this turns out cause soon enough the players all got into the new gates. Soon enough, the staff shot the starting fire, and the gates opened, letting out the first runners. Ebony came out first, running so fast it was impossible to catch up. She was in her natural environment and showing everyone she ruled the dirt tracks.
She might even have what it takes to be the King of Dirt. Too bad she focused on trying to unravel everything my family has ever built. I'm going to enjoy destroying her in the future. Ebony soon blasted through the whole race as a frontrunner unable to be caught by anyone. Damn it, I need to have her lose and then destroy her.
Soon enough, she finished her race and pressed the button, releasing Captain Primrose. Who I acknowledge as a great leader and would be my favorite player if she were in the NRL and not with Ebony. The interview soon began, and I knew this would piss me off immediately. She was asked what Rock and Roll was, and she spoke, saying," It is the greatest music genre ever created. It screams the pains of society and cares not for your love."
She then kept going, saying," It is the truth combined with the most honest sound in your heart. That is what rock and roll is." Bitch! How dare she say such blasphemy in front of me? I soon grabbed my phone and called a number."
I called the number named Thor Au; it answered and asked," What is your wish, your excellency?" I calmly answered," Thor, what do you need to go ahead with your plan, cause I will fulfill it as long as Agent Ebony is one of the targets?" He then laughed loudly, saying," Wonderful, send me a certain amount of cash, I'll text you the number and connections to top facilities for training, and we will be ready by next month." I responded grinning widely," Excellent." I soon hung up after ordering my men to supply them with what they needed.
Watch your back, Ebony; I'm either going to make you embrace pop or kill you trying. Soon, the contacts with facilities and the buying of equipment began. I sent the cash through secret transfers. Then called experts and agents to assist them in their endeavors. Everything was now falling into place.
Black Diamond POV
After the epic between the three kings, the crowd was tired after multiple amazing matches. Some people left for lunch or the restrooms. After setting up the course, we saw the new gates put in place, and they fit about 4 of us exactly. I was lead off today, then Vic is leg 2, Rain is leg 3, and Sweets is anchor. Today was also a dirt race, which is my specialty, and no one is trying to kill me.
This is a wonderful day, it is. I gotta thank the coaches for giving me such an easy race. Still, I had an idea to introduce the genre I love to the world. I told my plan to everyone, and they agreed. Soon, I plugged my guitar into the speakers, and we left for the field.
There, the cameras turned towards me as they made everyone wonder why I had a guitar, and soon I played Beethoven's 5th Symphony rock version on my electric guitar. This got everyone to wake up and absorb the music. Everyone was paying attention and coming to the song. They knew the song son I played and danced to the music. Soon the song ended, and I raised my hand, making a war gesture.
I screamed," Rock and Roll baby!" The crowd cheered, and I handed my mic and guitar to the staff. I saw them handing it back to our staff. Now the crowd was awake and excited once again. We soon entered the gates.
Everyone left me alone before the race because of my teammates and the staff. Now we entered the gates, and it was a tight squeeze with all 4 of us in one pod. At least it's bigger now, and I saw the button earlier. I knew what I needed to do to win this. Soon the gates opened, and the race began. I ran activating focus and early lead immediately.
Every one of my teammates uses skills, but it's funny how, when we talk about our races, they never mention what skills they use. Vic explains to me his races in the simplest way possible. Mama just says she goes fast as she recites her beliefs. Maybe that's why her strategic abilities suck. Gray speaks about tactics and observations as she runs.
Rose is the same as Gray, but speaks about combining skills to break her opponents. GW was deathly quiet when I asked her, and she walked away without saying anything. Rain talks about his muscles and everyone else's muscles as he runs in the simplest way possible. Lily focuses on her opponents beside her and strategies to adapt. Steel goes through past experiences and strategies she's learned over the years and adapts that way.
Spice talks about pace, style of running, and control. While ImP talks about observations and adaptations to the situation. Sweets looks around and thinks of ways to mess with others without being caught. Jo focuses on ability, tactics, and observations. Norn focuses on what she would do and what she can do in every situation.
Finally, KiWi messes with how her opponents run and runs as fast as possible. Only I talk about skills and ways I use them to run. I also use my hearing to see the placements of everyone around me. Then I adapt, like how I hear those using their skills early to catch up to me, so I use Soft Step to regain my stamina. Then switched to Ramp up to speed up.
Then used Hawkeye to keep watch. They soon got close as they activated their skills as well. That's why I used Highlander with Thunderbolt Step. I got ahead, leaving them behind, but as soon as I was ahead, I started running out of gas. That's why I switched on Moxie and Go With The Flow.
Then I activated homestretch haste, Final Push, and Groundwork. Soon I got to the end and pressed the button. It released Vic, and my race ended. Goddesses, damn it, activating this many skills is tiring. That's when the interview team came to me and pulled me aside.
It seems for relays they're interviewing every leg winner now. The interviewer asked me," What was that music you played earlier, and what is rock and roll?" I smiled, and with all my heart I answered," It is the greatest music genre ever created. It screams the pains of society and cares not for your love. It is the truth combined with the most honest sound in your heart."
I then smiled at the camera and said," That is what rock and roll is." Everyone felt my passion and soon started chanting, Ebony, over and over again. Soon I left the field, and my teammates welcomed me back. I'm happy the world knows the name of the music I love. Still, the war online is going to be crazy later.
