Juna Uzumaki POV:
After making a meal large enough to feed the monstrous Oguri Cap for a day during those two weeks in training camp I cheered in finally being able to rest. I delighted my work to my chefs and assistant dietitians giving myself a necessary week off. After a day of resting though I hear a knock on my door. I open it and my rock buddy ImP was at the door with the music meister herself Black Diamond or BlaD for short. She was cool as she joined our air guitar rock off with her own sound.
It was great and her sound is a version of rock I've never heard before and her passion and pride in her rock was very easy to hear. We all soon got to talking and they actually invited me to help them make some sick ass music with them. I grabbed my guitar and the rest of my gear and soon we went to the music studio. It was in the music building where we passed the dance studio where Vic and Lily were practicing insanely. We also passed the design studio where Norn and GW were doing measurements on Sweets, Steel, and Mama herself. Next we passed the writing studio where Gray, KiWi, and Jo were working on different things.
After we passed the filming studio, where Rain, Rose, and Spice were filming promotions for the team. They were all busy working with the staff as the heads were also busy working. Mina went with Iguro and Ayana to interview people. Takeshi and Suzu are running everything while they're gone. Hachi, Mana, and Hana are preparing for the upcoming travel schedule.
Then there's Takeshi and Yuto who are both working together on the team strategies for race day. Finally Ana is in the room where we're headed to. Ana and I are about to help the team make some great music. We soon arrived and she looked at us and was surprised. She asked," Juna what are you doing here, don't you have the week off?"
I smiled and told her," I did, but these girls asked me to assist in making some rock and roll with all you. Now how can I refuse such a great offer like that?" She pinched her forehead and sighed asking," BlaD, can I talk to you for second in the other room?" BlaD and her soon left the room which was sound proof, and no matter how dire the situation looked, I wasn't too worried. After a while though Ana came out looking defeated, with BlaD nodding to me signaling we're on with making some rock.
Ana and her team began working on their own with the other songs, while BlaD, ImP, and I started writing the song we wanted to make. We began discussing it and we all agreed it would be rock based, and combines punk rock with traditional rock and roll. Then the lyrics will have no holding back emotionally or censoring o any kind, but has to make sense. We want the song to be about fighting free from the shackles of what music is today. A song that anyone can sing, but can't be heard in any other genre but rock.
That's why the sound cannot be inspired by any pop sound of this world. Which I thought would be hard, but immediately BlaD got his guitar and played a rock sound I've never heard of. It was undeniably rock, but so much different from anything I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of rock being a rock junkie. BlaD really is the music meister. ImP really liked it and began adding his punk rock in and I joined adding my version of rock that would sound great with it.
We started experimenting with differ instruments and sounds first, and had Ana help us out. Which she ingeniously put the sounds she found harmonious together. She is a freaking genius, that deserves her head of music and dance job. We soon got to playing the song with BlaD on drums, me on guitar, and assistants on other instruments, while ImP sang. We had multiple mistakes, but once we got it correct, what I heard that day blew my mind.
Soon enough presentation day came and Boss Mina, Ana, Suzu, and the other players showed up. The first songs were just recordings played on the stereo and BlaD presented it like," This is the theme song for Jo and its name is." She then says the name and plays it and gauges their reaction and sees if they like the finished product or not. Currently everyone liked theirs so far, because BlaD and Ana worked with everyone to make each song. They were also all bangers so far.
Vic's song was called, ' Can You Handle This, while Mama Blues is called,' Raising.' Yes the names were based on the person they represented sometimes like Gray's is 'Oops did you hurt yourself,' and Rose's is 'Drink it in.' Next is GW's and it's called,' See me shine, and Rain's is 'Ride with me.' Next is Lily's and it's called,'Here for you,' and Steel's is called, 'Another One.' Next is Spice and her's is called, 'War Witch,' and ImP's is called, 'Wider World.'
Now it became obvious some of the names are based more on the don than the person with those last two. Next song is BlaD's and it's called,' This is Rock, and Sweets is called,' Parts of you.' After is Jo's song called, 'New Step,' and Norn is called, ' Fall for me.' Then right after is KiWi's song called,' King (Kill) Me,' and the organization's theme song called, 'Out of the Way.' Soon enough each head got their theme songs announced, but since they felt it was unnecessary it was set aside, but not scrapped all together.
The songs we created for them will still be used, from time to time, but will not be as important. It is songs for the background people not usually meant to be in the spotlight. We moved on and now it was time to present our song we named, 'Fighting Free.' BlaD spoke saying," The last song tonight will be the team's theme song. Everyone I present to you, Fighting Free."
The projector turned on and the music video we produced played. It wasn't anything special just a recording of us playing the song. We even made sure the state was great for this one. Soon the music began to play and everyone was soon blown away. They enjoyed all the songs, but this one made them rise up in excitement.
The song flowed through them and they enjoyed every moment of it. Soon the song ended and we also ended our presentation. By the end of the day the song circulated through the entire organization. Even Ana who didn't hear the finished product had to acknowledge it. It was some great work, but soon my vacation will end and it will be back to cooking epic meals.
I soon began to leave with my guitar on my back like I've done a thousand times before in my life. That's when in the hallway Ana was waiting for me. Once she saw me she spoke," Good evening Juna, I must say good work this last few weeks." I replied," Good work to you to Ana, couldn't have done it so fast without you." She smiled saying," Where are you headed now?" I was confused, we worked at the same place so she should know the answer to that question.
Still I answered nicely," Back to my actual job, you know the one I was hired to do." She then replied dryly," That is not what I meant Juna. I want to know if you're willing to come back for future projects." I smiled replying," I respect you Ana, as well as enjoy working with those two, so if you'll have me, you know where to find me. Still talk to the boss about it before, I might be busy doing my actual job."
I walk away as she smiled. Still I saw her bow politely and leave as well at the opposite direction. She wasn't sure at first, but I earned her trust along the way. Now it's time for me to put the guitar down and pick up my spatula. It's almost time for the first tournament, and everyone's going to be hungry. I soon prepare for the work tomorrow, it's been a good vacation.
