Andria's POV
"So are you going to the hiking camp?" Lady Eskareth asked as I returned to the table.
My jaw dropped at her knowledge. "How did you even know that I was having that discussion?' I asked, settling back in my seat.
"It's hard for me not to tell," she said, winking at me.
"I see," I replied, my lips twisting in a smirk.
"You haven't answered my question yet," she pulled me back to the subject I was trying to avoid.
"I'm not joining her. I just feel like it's not in my plan and she needs time with her mate," I replied reluctantly.
"You could have told her just that. She still has some faith you would show up in the camp with Allison," Lady Eskareth advised.
"Well, I told her not to get her hopes high," I defended.
"Alright if you say so," she muttered under her breath.
I swallowed. The room grew tense and quiet; something didn't sit well with the energy in the room.
