CHAPTER 31 THE SECOND TRIAL'S END PART 1

"The centre of the mountain...…. It was the centre of the mountain all along is it the centre of the mountain". Memories flooded his mind and he started to remember something that happened years ago. He used to visit this mountain with his uncle until a year and a half ago on his birthday and whenever they came here his uncle always told him to sit on the very centre of the mountain no matter what he said to his uncle. Even if he complained his uncle always told him to sit on the centre of the mountain top. When he trained he was trained at that specific location Uncle why do l always have to train at the centre of the mountain top l do not understand why you just want me to sit down here and l do not know why you keep on telling me to be always on the centre of the mountain', he asked his uncle four years ago when he was twelve years old. His uncle chuckled to himself. "Do you really want to know?', he asked while their swords clashed creating sparks that disappeared after the converging of their sharp blades. To this the young Ray who seemed a bit nervous clutched his sword with all his strength nodded. His uncle stopped attacking him and ruffled his hair before he said those words while looking at the beautiful and awe –inspiring sunset with a glimpse of happiness written on his face. "At the centre of this mountain that is where most of your life's story will begin and the written words of destiny will start manifesting themselves from that moment until the day you become the most greatest as my brother and sister in law, your parents always wished you would be and they will be happy with what you would have achieved because l believe that your fate is written on glory's script. All of your life's journey and the overcoming of your trials will be decided on this very mountain nephew'. 'Wow is that really true?', the twelve year old asked his uncle who nodded with a smile and said 'Your journey of becoming a man will start here my nephew'.

He remembered what happened four years ago when he asked his uncle. The reason why he felt like he had solved the puzzle was because of what he had remembered. He reminisced the past. "l do know what must be done', he told his friend who was standing besides him. Austin smiled before saying noddi. 'Ray had his uncle's sword and his father's saber was in his right while his mother's rod was strapped behind his back. "We will go through this together', he thought to himself as he felt his uncle's and parents' presence within those special weapons. He walked as slow as a turtle, heading towards a particular spot, the centre of the mountain-top. If he passed this trial he would go to the next one and then the other one and the final one and after that he would get out of this place. He stood on the mountain's centre, the spot that his uncle told him to would be where his story starts. He closed his eyes as he focused on only one thing and that was the amulet and in the next moment he felt a powerful wave in his mind and when he opened his eyes again he was in gross darkness. He could not see a thing and neither did he know where he was. Why was he here shouldn't he have appeared in front of those vermillion birds, all of this question riled up in his mind and he did not have an answer and this irritated him. He took one step and at that moment he saw the walls and the floor of the place he was. The walls had amber crystals that were embedded in them and the floor had beautiful and gorgeous marbles. He took another step and more light was in the area he was.

Then he started walking in a cool way with a false bravado lackadaisically as he pretended to be one of those protagonist or antagonist in a move that would do the same dramatic step when something cool was about to happen and it was to happen alright. His heart palpitated as he held his sword and sabre for dear life and trod down the pathway. When he looked at the walls he saw pictures that depicted different events that happened and manifested themselves throughout the ages but he had no time to appraise the excellent artistic nature of The Immortal Golden Phoenix because his life was on the line. He came to a halt and took in some oxygen before he reached his destination. At the end of his path he saw five tall creatures that were made from clay but had a skin that had a royal flame covering it. Four of these creatures were ten metres tall and they wielded large swords that had the same fire that they had on their body and they seemed to be protecting something valuable that was on a raised platform .He did not fail to notice that artefact because that is what he had come for and when he saw it his two eyes sparkled. Before he could take another step 'Halt intruder. Who art thou?', asked a golem who was two metres taller than the rest and seemed to be the leader. "My name is Ray Nagisaki and l am here to participate in the second trial". "I see that thou hast come for the holy amulet haven't thee", it said with a deep voice to which he nodded like a chicken pecking grain. "Then fight for it if thou wantest to escape and free thine self from this illusion because if thou refuse thine reality will be abolished from existence by the holy fires that will consume thee". "So what am l supposed to do?', he asked the leader with a depressed tone irritated by what he had said proving that he had no choice. He wanted to bargain or something but what could he bargain with when he was but a feeble mundane.

The twelve metre golem laughed in a bizarre manner, and when he laughed the ground shook from his joy. "Thou must fight against mine soldiers', he said. Hearing this fear gripped him but before he could even say he was ready the four golems ran towards him with their swords and they were a bit fast more than ordinary golems but not more than him. They were faster than some basic golems and were more powerful. 'Dieeeeeee!', a golem screamed as he came with a powerful sword slash that he dodged and taking advantage of the golem he jumped and landed on its shoulder and using his sword he pierced it on its shoulders while he made sure not to make contact with it's fire but it did not budge. He was slapped off by the golem but luckily he used his sword and sabre to protect himself.
