"Why are we bringing this brat along? Do you want her to board the ship?"
Mihawk, with a cold stare, finally couldn't hold back his thoughts and asked as he looked at the teary-eyed but silent little Robin leading the way.
He didn't particularly care — after all, he was merely traveling with Orin. The decision wasn't his to make.
"Huh?? How could you think that? I'm not in the habit of taking care of others on my journeys. Even my dearest Lina and Mei didn't come aboard with me. I just figured, since we're here, we might as well meet the main character of this little incident."
"Incident?" Mihawk frowned.
"Yeah, it should be happening soon. You'll find out in a bit," Orin replied mysteriously.
In his eyes, the so-called terror of the Buster Call was only a threat to ordinary nations or lone fighters.
For someone like him or Mihawk, it posed no danger at all.
Looking ahead at little Robin, who wasn't paying any attention to their conversation and just kept walking forward with her head down, Orin initially thought she was leading them for a stroll around town or something. But a quick sweep with his wide-range Observation Haki revealed something odd.
"She's leading us somewhere... strange."
Mihawk glanced around as they walked, sharp enough to notice the peculiarity even without a strong sense of direction.
Orin nodded slightly, hands still in his pockets, paying no mind to whatever Robin was thinking. A small smirk tugged at his lips.
This little Robin — just a bit of teasing, and now she's on high alert, taking them straight to the grown-ups?
Did she think this would actually work?
Maybe sensing Orin's gaze, Robin grew anxious and broke into a run toward a nearby cliff, disregarding Orin's strange powers.
Of course, she wasn't trying to jump off.
"Saul!!!"
She shouted loudly, her small figure sprinting ahead, not even thinking about why the two men behind her weren't trying to stop her.
"Looks like we've been mistaken for bad guys. I mean, do I really look like one?" Orin rubbed his chin and then turned to Mihawk.
"Hey, hey, Mihawk, do I really look that much like a villain?"
Mihawk simply ignored him.
Instead, he drew the black blade on his back, his sharp hawk eyes fixed on the cliff ahead.
As the ground began to tremble slightly, a massive shadow fell across them — a giant over tens of meters tall appeared!
Former Marine Giant Vice Admiral Saul!
With a bulky upper body and disproportionately small legs, the giant had an oddly unbalanced build.
He was also little Robin's dearest friend during her childhood.
"What happened, Robin?"
Saul lifted the crying Robin into his palm, his tiny eyes filled with confusion. Then he noticed the two figures following her.
The moment he laid eyes on one of them,
A wave of familiarity surged through him.
"You... you're..."
He must be mistaken, right? It couldn't be...
No — there's no way he'd be wrong!
Black Gun Orin!!!?
Terror overtook Saul's eyes, and his massive body involuntarily took two steps back.
That silhouette — one man with a blade and a spear — was someone no Marine could possibly forget!
But... hadn't he disappeared from the seas long ago?!
Seeing the shocked disbelief on the giant's face, Orin simply smiled and greeted him.
"Come to think of it, I haven't seen a giant in a while. Last time was with Captain Roger in Elbaf."
Before his words even finished, Orin was already standing in Saul's palm, hands in his coat pockets, gazing up at him with interest.
Even though Orin looked so tiny compared to the enormous figure before him,
Saul still dared not make a move.
Though he had never seen the strength of this so-called "Next Generation King" with his own eyes, he knew full well the terrifying power of his friend, Kuzan.
To Saul, Kuzan was a monster — an unbeatable force.
And this man was even more terrifying than Kuzan.
Two years ago, he had visited Kuzan and seen that fractured leg. That kind of monster needed an entire month just to walk normally again.
Robin stood frozen.
And Saul, though holding Orin in his hand, didn't dare move a muscle. His expression turned grim, even pleading.
"Please don't hurt Robin. She's a good girl — truly kind-hearted!"
"If she's done anything to offend you... Please take my life instead — let her go!!!"
"Saul!!! Uwaaah!!!"
Robin burst into tears, overwhelmed by Saul's heartfelt protection.
Seeing the touching scene between the giant and the little girl, Orin's expression grew a little awkward, a twitch forming at the corner of his eye.
Why did it feel like his arrival had the same effect as the Buster Call?
Were all the stories floating around the seas painting him as some kind of demon?
"Hey! Seriously, can you people even understand words? Or are you just paranoid? I'm just here on vacation. Isn't it normal to ask a local for directions?"
...
In the end, realizing just how terrifying his name had become after two years of silence, Orin left the forest feeling a little depressed.
He had finally met a canon character — only to end up being seen as some creepy old man…
...
That experience successfully shattered the rosy filter Orin had over the main characters.
They weren't really that different from the rest of the One Piece world.
Feeling bored,
Orin dragged Mihawk around Ohara Island, sampling the local food, visiting the giant tree at the center of the island,
And most importantly, snapping a bunch of pictures with his Den Den Mushi camera.
Looking at the various photos in his hand, Orin nodded in satisfaction.
Quite the variety —
Like a photo of Mihawk reading with his legs crossed inside the giant tree, a selfie with Orin's arm slung around Mihawk's shoulder, and a panoramic shot of Ohara taken from a thousand meters above…
During this time, even though Mihawk sometimes looked reluctant, he still ended up tagging along with Orin to all the must-see spots on Ohara.
A classic case of "his mouth says no, but his actions say yes."
Orin didn't call him out — he just smirked and looked over at Mihawk, who had just claimed he wasn't hungry but was now nibbling on a local tree-fruit delicacy.
"What are you looking at?"
Mihawk squinted at him in return.
"Nothing much… I just wanted to say, Our Ohara visit is about done. Some old friends are coming across the sea."
Orin chuckled.
With his long-range Observation Haki, it was easy to notice — countless warships, loaded with cannons and swordsmen, were cutting through the waves, closing in on Ohara.
But even as the fearsome Buster Call loomed — an operation that made the world tremble in fear —
Neither Orin nor Mihawk showed the slightest hint of anxiety.
"Well~ It's been a while. Come on, Mihawk, let's go say hello~"
