Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4 Disaster at the wedding

Big Fat Alien wedding??? I didn't expect that

MC's POV

"I didn't expect this..." All of this i didn't expect, that's all I could say—quietly, under my breath—as I stood there, completely stunned. Today was supposed to be a normal outing—just me and my parents heading to a wedding. But what I saw when we arrived? Yeah... let's rewind for a bit.

It's a beautiful day for a wedding. Two people, deeply in love, are about to swear loyalty to each other through sacred wedding vows. The ceremony is set to begin in a few hours. I know that because—get this—someone forgot to bring the wedding cake. Like, come on! That's a key part of the whole thing! Do you have any idea how much the bride and groom's families must've spent on this luxurious venue?

We're still in Bellwood, and I didn't even know a place like this existed here. Behind the building, there's a ridiculously beautiful lake and a huge open field that looks like it belongs on a travel postcard. Honestly, this place is stunning. But now? The wedding's delayed because someone dropped the ball.

That's what I was focused on… until I saw them.

Standing just a few meters away were two characters that shouldn't even exist in this timeline yet—let alone be here in front of me. These weren't just any characters; they were from the Ben 10 classic series. Background characters, sure—but characters who shouldn't appear until Season 4.

But here they were. Real. Flesh and blood.

Well—Camille was more... flesh and mud, but you get what I mean.

It was that wedding.

Joel Tennyson, Grandpa Max's nephew—son of Max's brother, Gordon—and Camille Mann, a Lenopan. (That's her last name, right?)

Yup. This was the "Big Fat Alien Wedding" episode.

Only... it's happening now.

Way too early.

Is this some kind of paradox? A broken timeline? I mean, yeah—I know I'm not in the main timeline of the classic Ben 10 series. I'm most likely in a splinter timeline or reboot reality. But this early? That means the Lenopan–Plumber war is already over. Isn't that plot point supposed to unravel way later?

Do you know how hard I had to stop myself from screaming when I realized what was happening? I looked up at the sky with the most tired expression a three-year-old could possibly have and just—

"Seriously? I'm only three years old. Why am I being dumped into a major episode arc already? Is this for my 'character development'? Screw you, who ever asshole who writer this story, and fuck them."

I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

My parents didn't even warn me. They didn't say anything at home—just dressed me up in a maroon tuxedo, brushed my hair, and stuffed me into the car like I was being offered up for sacrifice. It wasn't until we were already halfway there that they casually dropped the bomb.

By the time we pulled up to the venue, my head was already pounding. And apparently, it showed—because my mom noticed right away.

Sandra (concerned): "Sweetie, are you okay? Do you feel sick?"

My dad, Carl, had just stepped out of the car and took one look at me.

Carl: "He looks a little pale."

Ben (forcing a smile): "I'm fine, Mom. Just a little motion sick from the drive."

Of course, I used a tiny bit of aura to help calm her down. Perks of reincarnation.

Sandra (still worried): "Really? I guess it was a long drive..."

Carl (reassuring): "Looks like our little guy just got a bit carsick. Why don't you two head inside? I'll go say hi to everyone."

My mom still looked unsure, so I gently reached up and touched her shoulder with my tiny hand.

Ben: "I'm okay, Mommy. Don't worry—Ben's okay."

That made her smile. She stroked my cheek gently, and I did the same back. I may not remember my past life clearly, or even my biological mother, but I know I loved her. And now? I have this new life. With this mother.

She's amazing.

Sandra (calmer): "Awww... my baby says he's okay. I'm not worried anymore."

Carl (chuckling): "Tough little guy, huh? Alright, let's go inside and meet everyone."

Sandra: "Yes, dear. Heheh." My mother put me down so I could walk by myself.

And that brings me here.

Standing inside this fancy wedding venue.

Looking at them. Joel, a ex-plumber, trying to look calm but clearly tense and camille, in her human form hidding her alien mud type anatomi, that looks unstable.

Both of them looked exactly like they did in the cartoon—only now they were in front of me, full color, full detail, real people.

Sigh. If you know this episode… you know. You know exactly how messy this is gonna get.

————

In front of Ben and his family stood an average-looking man with a solid build. He was young, with a clean-cut crew haircut, wearing a sharp white tuxedo—Joel Tennyson. Beside him stood his fiancée, a graceful woman with red hair styled into a bun, bright blue eyes, and wearing an elegant white wedding gown—Camille Mann.

The couple walked toward Ben and his parents, smiling brightly.

Joel (happy): "Carl! I'm so glad you came!"

He stepped forward and gave his cousin a warm hug.

Carl (grinning): "Why wouldn't I? I wouldn't miss my cousin's wedding for anything. It's your big day, Joel!"

Carl returned the hug, then gave Joel a hearty pat on the back. The two laughed like old friends reuniting after years apart. Then Joel turned to the woman standing beside Carl, his smile widening.

Carl (gesturing to his wife): "Honey, this is Joe Tennyson—my cousin from my dad's side. Uncle Gordon's son."

Joel: "Ah, you must be Carl's wife! I was at your wedding, but I didn't get a chance to talk with you two. Haha! Nice to finally meet you."

He extended his hand warmly. Sandra, still holding little Ben hand, smiled politely and shook it.

Sandra: "Sandra Tennyson. It's nice to meet you too, Joe."

They exchanged a polite handshake, and then Joel's eyes fell on Ben with a curious grin—just as a soft ahem from beside him made him turn.

Joel: "Ah—almost forgot! Let me introduce my better half."

He gestured to the red-haired woman next to him.

"This is Camille, my fiancée—and, after today, my wife."

Camille: "Greetings. I'm Camille Mann. I'm really happy you could make it! Joel's family is... quite large, hehe. I hope we can all get along in the future!"

Her tone was calm and mature, but her cheerfulness was genuine and disarming.

Carl: "Nice to meet you."

Sandra: "Pleasure to meet you, Camille."

It was a warm, welcoming moment. Then Joe leaned in slightly, looking at the small child in Sandra's left hand.

Joel: "Aww, and who's this little guy?"

Sandra (smiling): "This is our son. Ben."

Camille: "He's adorable! Hi, Ben!"

Ben: "Hi!"

Ben greeted them with a cheerful, innocent voice full of childlike energy.

Sandra couldn't help but smile and affectionately stroked Ben's head with her left hand, Joel chuckled.

Joel: "Haha, what a cheerful little guy! How old is he—four? Five?"

Sandra: "Actually... he just turned three."

Both Joel and Camille blinked in surprise.

Joel: "Wait, wait—three years old? You've gotta be kidding me."

He glanced at Carl, looking baffled.

Carl (grinning smugly): "I wish I was, cousin. But nope—he's really just three."

Camille (nearly slipping): "How is he this... big? Is that normal for hu—I mean, for kids these days?"

She quickly caught herself before revealing too much.

Carl, who knew all about his Plumber family secrets and alien affiliations, noticed the slip but didn't react. Sandra,In other hand is oblivious to the near-exposure, simply beamed with motherly pride.

Sandra: "Our Ben's always been different. He's very bright—and he learns things fast. We're both very proud of him."

She said it in that classic proud-mom tone. Not bragging, just honestly proud.

Joel, still processing everything, smiled and knelt down in front of Ben. He gently patted the boy's head.

Joel: "Well, you're one big little guy, aren't you? Haha! Bet you'll grow into one strong man someday."

Inside Ben's head, he sighed. Ben (internally): "don't jinx it damm it."Ben glare at the guy manacenlly for split second before act like his three years old self.

The groom, Joel Tennyson, adjusted the collar of his crisp white tuxedo as he stood beside his fiancée Camille. The couple had just greeted Joe's cousin Carl, Carl's wife Sandra, and their young son—Ben.

Joel was all smiles at first while he was talking to his cousin and his cousin's wife, then towards their son...well until he made eye contact with little Ben.

Joel swore—on the sacred soul of the wedding cake that never showed up—that the toddler looked him dead in the eyes like couple second ago not like a child not with wonder no That innocent smile vanished for a second. But with a chilling, cold-blooded stare that sent an ice spike down his spine, menacingly stabbing you. Then, just as quickly, it was gone—replaced once more by the cheerful, innocent smile of a child no older than three. Was he imagining things? He chuckled awkwardly to himself. Maybe he was just nervous because of the wedding. did he just say something that this little guy didn't like?

A second later, Carl interrupted the moment Carl, completely unaware of the strange moment, clapped Joel on the shoulder and with a casual question, and Joel blinked rapidly—immediately looking away from the tiny monster who had just psychically threatened his life. Or so he felt.

Carl (curious): "By the way, what's going on? Has your wedding started yet?"

Camille (sighing with a smile): "Well… someone forgot to return with the wedding cake. It was supposed to be here since this morning. So yeah, you could say our wedding's on hold for now."

Joel (nervous chuckle): "Heheh… yeah. Our parents blew a gasket. The event organizers messed up a tiny detail—just, you know, the cake—and suddenly we had to evacuate the guests to a hotel nearby to buy time."

Sandra (shocked): "Oh my, that's terrible."

Carl: "So how are Uncle Gordon and Aunt Betty Jean? And Camille's parents?"

Joel (shrugging): "They've calmed down—thanks to Uncle Max and Aunt Vera stepping in before it got ugly. Camille's folks? Surprisingly calm. Honestly, I think they were more level-headed than mine."

Camille (grinning): "Hehe, that's just how they are."

Carl: "Glad to hear it. So, is my dad already here?"

Before they could continue chatting, a cheerful voice echoed from across the lobby.

???: "I hope we're not late here!"

Everyone turned as Frank Tennyson entered the room with his wife and children. Frank, the younger brother of Carl, strode in confidently, wearing a black tuxedo with a bold orange bow tie—because subtlety was not his thing. His wife, Natalie "Lili" Tennyson, looked elegant in a glowing magenta dress. Following close behind were their children:

Kenny Tennyson, age 8, half-smiling with a practiced older-brother tiredness.

And Gwen Tennyson, age 3, bouncing like she had three cookies for breakfast.

The room lit up even more.

Frank hugged Carl and Joel, warm laughter bouncing between them like old times while Frank fix his glasses. Lili embraced Sandra, the two women chatting like best friends at a spa.

Ben (our MC) stood nearby, his toddler form barely reaching their waists. He watched the reunion with a peaceful smile.

Ben (thinking):" Tennyson family gatherings are like a sitcom crossed with a hug. It's... weirdly nice."

He paused for a moment, eyes softening.

Did I have something like this in my first life? A family like this?

But no matter how hard he searched his memories, nothing came. No names. No faces. No love. Just static, a broken film reel buried under internet memes and fragments of pop culture trivia.

His thoughts were cut short as—

BAM!

A blur of red hair and green eyes slammed into him like a toddler-shaped meteorite.

Ben (thinking): "Here we go again."

Ben hit the polished floor with a soft thud, choosing not to resist the tackle. He could have stood his ground with mana reinforcement. He could have braced.

But this was gwen his cousin. Seven seconds older. And currently clinging to him like a koala on espresso.

Gwen (cheerful): "Ben! Bwen! Hehe, you're here!!"

Ben (sighing, but smiling): "Hey, Gwen… hehehe. You came too, huh?"

Gwen: "Bwen here, so Gwen come also!" she chirped, her logic powered by cuteness.

Ben tried to get up, but Gwen clung tighter.

Ben (chuckling): "Do you always have to tackle me when you're happy to see me? Heheh… Come on, let go. I need to breathe again."

Gwen (pouting): "Hmmmm… but Gwen hapwy to see Bwen…"

Despite the pout, she finally let go, albeit with the weight of the universe in her sigh.

Ben started to sit up slowly, a mild ache in his lower back where his cousin's joy had body-slammed him. He could heal it with mana—but then a hand appeared in front of him.

Kenny (grinning): "Need help, little bro?"

Ben looked up at his older cousin, Kenny Tennyson, age 8 (i didn't find his age In alien force so i could reduce by gwen's age to know his exactly age are). Not a big character in the original series, just a one-episode wonder. But over the past three years, he'd earned Ben's respect. A dependable older brother type who—despite low-key jealousy that Gwen was closer to Ben—always had his back.

Ben (grabbing his hand): "Thanks, Big Bro Kenny. You're a life saver… from this red-haired missile."

Kenny (chuckling): "Don't sweat it, Ben."

He pulled Ben to his feet. Gwen immediately clung to Ben's left hand like a living accessory.

Kenny looked over at his sister and sighed like an exhausted babysitter.

Kenny: "Geez, Gwen. Why do you always have to tackle Ben? Look at him—he's three, not made of rubber."

Gwen (pouting harder): "I'm just reawwy happy to see Bwen again! So what's the biggie?"

She crossed her arms with that classic toddler sass, her cuteness level peaking into dangerous territory.

Kenny (groaning): "Haaah… I know you're happy, but you literally saw him three days ago when you and Mom visited Uncle Carl. Give the guy a break."

Gwen looked like she was about to throw a tantrum kenny started to panic. A Gwen meltdown meant all eyes on them which meant everyone would get scolded thankfully, Ben gently reached over and patted Gwen's head.

Ben (warmly): "Gwen…"

She stopped, looked down, and her big green eyes shimmered with guilt.

Gwen (quietly): "I'm sorry…"

Kenny (impressed): "Man… I'm still surprised how you can calm her down, Benny. Like, it's scary."

Ben just smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

Mc's POV:

When my parents, along with Kenny and Gwen's folks, finished greeting the bride and groom, my dad Carl and his younger brother Frank went to catch up with their cousin Joel. They started chatting like old times. My mom and Aunt Lili joined in too, bonding with Joel's bride, Camille. You could tell they were trying to build a stronger connection since Camille would soon officially become a Tennyson.

Meanwhile... me? Yeah, I got stuck with Gwen and Kenny. Makes sense, though—Gwen and I are just three, and Kenny's eight. Still, feels like I got the short end of the stick here.

Our parents told us to go explore the place a bit. Joel mentioned that some of the guests' kids decided to hang around the venue instead of waiting at the fancy hotel he booked for everyone. I figured most of them were probably Joel's plumber buddies in disguise—or maybe Camille's friends, some of whom were probably Lenopans too, still in human form. Yeah, I'm watching you, shapeshifters.

Apparently, the wedding got delayed a few hours, well you know just because one of the wedding staff forgot the cake. The cake. The one thing you're not supposed to forget at a wedding. So yeah, Joel's friends stepped in to help out the staff. Honestly? Respect. That's the kind of bond plumbers seem to have—ride-or-die types.

I swear Joel caught me glaring at him for a second. He looked at me with this wide-eyed "Did this three-year-old just mentally curse me?" face that i thought inside his mind right now. I was impressed he picked up on my expressions—guess those Plumber instincts really don't miss.

Anyway, Gwen, Kenny, and I went to check out the back field. And wow... it was huge. There was a lake shimmering under the sunlight and a wide grassy field that just screamed run around and get dirty. Apparently, the wedding reception was going to be out here too. So, outdoor wedding. Fancy.

I always thought the ceremony would be held in that massive hall inside, but I guess that's just for food, speeches, and slow dances or whatever. I wouldn't know. In my first life, I never really went to any weddings this fancy—or if I did, I sure don't remember them.

We found a group of kids hanging out by the field. Most of them were around our age. A couple might've been a year or two older, probably Kenny's age. They were playing tag or something equally chaotic, like normal kids do. When they saw us, they immediately waved us over.

Gwen looked up at me, still holding my hand like always. She gave me that tiny, questioning look—like she needed my permission. Honestly, she's been this way since we were just weeks old. I guess that's what happens when you've been manipulating her since the crib. Still, she's just a kid who wants to play.

Gwen:"Bwen?" she asked with her big green eyes.

Ben (smiled and nodded):"It's okay, Gwen. You can go play with them."

She let go and dashed off, giggling like a maniac.

Kenny chuckled beside me. He's used to this—Gwen being more clingy to me than to him, even though he's her actual big brother. I'm sure there's a bit of jealousy under the surface, but Kenny never shows it.

Kenny:"I'm gonna keep an eye on her. Wait for me, Gwen!" he shouted and ran after her.

And just like that, I was left alone for a bit. Three-year-old me, standing in a wedding field, watching two kids laugh and play like they didn't know a single thing about the world that was coming for them.

Ben:"It's beautiful if you still don't know anything, isn't it?" I said under by breath, I walked towards one of the chairs prepared on the wide field, the chairs were neatly arranged as if they were ready, but unfortunately the wedding ceremony was postponed for a while.

Why didn't I join in playing with the kids? Because I was trying to remember the plot of this episode, as you know this episode was supposed to be in season 4 episode 4 of the original Ben 10 series. The one focused on Joel Tennyson and Camille Mann's wedding.

The original plot? Ben and Gwen accompany Grandpa Max to a wedding, where it's revealed the bride's parents are aliens and the groom's family are ex-Plumbers. Drama immediately kicks off.

Max's nephew Joel—the groom—and Max's brother Gordon are butting heads. Gordon thinks the wedding is a terrible mistake. Camille and her parents arrive, and they're completely cold toward Joel's family.

Joel vents to Max about how bad things are going—especially Gordon and Betty Jean's behavior toward Camille's parents just because they're Lenopan. Yep, classic Plumber-turned-in-laws drama.

Joel even tells Gwen she won't be the flower girl because their first choice—Camille's cousin, Lucy—managed to show up. And where's original Ben?

Oh yeah, Gwen finds him missing, only to catch him stuffing his face with cake. Classic.

Then it gets serious.

A man (maybe one of the wedding staff? I don't quite remember) gets dragged into the forest by a pile of mud. A duplicate of him walks out like nothing happened. Super sus. There's also a big sign near the lake: "NO SWIMMING."

Then a truck drives up, and Ben (the original one) transforms into Cannonbolt to stop it—ends up crashing into it, of course. The wedding stage catches fire, and Cannonbolt jumps into the lake, causing a massive splash that puts the flames out.

And then? Chaos.

Gordon and Betty Jean whip out Plumber weapons—hidden ones, mind you—and aim them at Cannonbolt. They think he's some alien that want crashing the wedding of something. And those weapon they hidden it well behind cahser? Or is a table?. Honestly, with how they hide stuff, it could've been either.

They start shooting at him, but Joel steps in with disbelif face after his parents broke the promise not to bring any more weapons for the rest of the weekend.

Geez. These two... they're the kind of people who—well, let's just say they don't exactly trust aliens. You know the type. (Alien-prejudice alert!)

Anyway.

After that, Cannonbolt gets attacked by the same pile of mud and reverts back into Ben. The mud slithers away ominously into the woods.

Cue the long, dramatic lore dump.

In the Rustbucket, Grandpa Max gives the rundown: ancient Plumber vs. Sludgepuppy conflict, generations of mistrust, yada yada. Honestly, my brain almost melted trying to recall it all. I might be an extreme fanboy, but now is not the time to unpack a five-minute alien history lesson.

What I do remember clearly, though?

The real antagonist. Or maybe a side antagonist.

That mud-monster attacker? He turns out to be Camille's ex-boyfriend—hired by her own parents to sabotage the wedding.

Yeah. You heard me.

They hired her ex to wreck her own wedding. Like, what kind of daytime drama nonsense is that?

I remembered it all at once: the guy dragged into the woods, replaced by a mud-clone. The "No Swimming" sign. The moment everything starts going to hell.

Oh, shit.

I leapt out of the chair and sprinted toward the lake, heart pounding.

Gwen and Kenny were still playing with the other kids, totally unaware.

I arrived right at the spot where the man was supposed to be dragged away. Nothing yet. I almost sighed in relief—maybe it hadn't happened.

But then I saw it.

A lump of mud, slithering away into the trees.

I ducked behind one of the thicker trees nearby and kept watch. And my gut was right it was him. Camille's ex-boyfriend...aaaaand right behind him?

Mr. and Mrs. Mann, slinking into the trees after him (still in their human apparance). Probably checking on the job they secretly ordered, and pheww seem they didn't see me—too focused, and the forest was thick enough to hide me. I clenched my fists seriously? They were really doing this? Hiring their daughter's alien ex to ruin her wedding?

Ben (thoughts):"shit..are you kidding me...? Those two actually hired Camille's ex-boyfriend to sabotage her wedding? Are Camille's parents that petty? What kind of soap opera did I just walk into?"

This wasn't just toxic parenting. This was borderline supervillain behavior these people...i mean alien aaagh whatever I mean, I could say the same thing about Joel's parents after the stuff they pulled in the original episode of the show. But this? This is next-level low very low hired your daughter ex-boyfriend to do you dirty work. I have to act now—before someone gets seriously hurt. Not just me, but every guest and even their kids could be caught up in this mess. This is not going to be a beautiful day for a wedding but a disaster!.

Ben:"hink, Ben! Think!" I screamed in my mind while my little hands held my head.

I quickly reached into the inside pocket of my tuxedo—yeah, I keep stuff in there now, don't judge i need prepare for anything ok?. Among the mess, I pulled out my protocol papers. I've been carrying them everywhere like some tiny field agent, just in case.I started flipping through the papers for any idea that could help me survive this mess. And then… it hit me. I had some blank paper and crayons—my only allowed "writing tools" thanks to my age. Three-year-olds can't carry pens without looking suspicious, apparently. But crayons? Totally fine...so with im started scribbling anonymous notes asking for help.

But the real problem was how to deliver them without getting caught. I couldn't just walk up and hand them over like some innocent little page boy. No… I needed stealth. And to make sure the people reading the notes would take them seriously, I added a little "persuasion" — just a slight mana-based influence aura, subtle enough to make them feel curious or compelled.

Once the notes were ready, I quietly activated my mana to mute my footsteps by absorbing nearby sound vibrations — a little trick I learned after experimenting with energy absorption, aura projection, and sound manipulation. Handy, huh?

I rushed out of the room, speed boosted by mana. But something i didn't predict happen 'fuck' The word that i could say for the thing i see because the place was packed — way more crowded than earlier. Seemed like the guests from the fancy hotel Joel rented had finally shown up.

Ben:"what the..." I look around the place its very crowd and see that shit And wow, I think the wedding cake just arrived white wedding cake dress with fruits and edible flowers stood tall 4 stack...look majes—… Wait, focus Ben! Focus!I needed to find the right people fast...first target camille.

I walked through the crowd of invited guests without them realizing, I ran through them like they were a maze. But unfortunately I'm starting to get tired, even though I enchanted my speed with mana and made my steps soundless, it still makes me tired.

And i found her...

She was still talking with my mom and Aunt Lily, standing there in her white wedding dress. I took a deep breath and created a super-thin mana construct — a floating hand. Carefully, I placed the note into Camille's hand. She instinctively opened her palm and read it. Her eyes widened, scanning the crowd, trying to spot whoever sent it Sandra and Lili both looked at her, confused.

Sandra: "What's wrong, Camille? Why did you suddenly go quiet?"

Lily: "Is everything okay?"

Camille quickly snapped out of it and forced a smile.

Camille: "Y-Yeah, everything's fine. I just remembered something — I think I left something in the bridal dressing room while they were decorating me. I'll be right back, sisters."

She walked off calmly, leaving Mom and Aunt Lily still puzzled, nice. One down. More to go. I thought to myself as I slipped back into the crowd, ready to find the next person.

—————

POV of Camille

I was in the middle of a polite—though honestly, a little exhausting—conversation with Sandra and Lili. They already treated me like a sister, which was sweet in its own chaotic way. If I remembered correctly, Sandra—the bubbly blonde—was Carl's wife, and Lily, the fiery ginger, was married to Frank. Joel's cousins, right? It was all starting to blend together.

Still, talking with them was... surprisingly easy. After all the tension and nerves that had been building up all day, chatting with them felt like a breather. I even spotted some staff finally bringing in the wedding cake—Joel's friends, maybe? Because someone had forgotten it this morning that was such pain i could see Joel cute ekpression when he hear the cake is here yet,and his parents was also not happy and yeld at the stop before Joel uncle? Calm them down. But no matter. Everything felt like it was falling into place.

I couldn't help but smile. I was married now—to someone I truly loved. After generations of conflict between my species and the Plumbers, somehow, this wedding felt like a small miracle. Peace. Love. A fresh start. It was almost too perfect.

Then I felt it.

A faint pressure against my palm. I instinctively opened my hand—

A piece of paper.

I hadn't seen anyone approach me. No one was close enough to slip me something without me noticing. But the hairs on the back of my neck prickled. Something wasn't right.

I unfolded the note, expecting a silly joke from Joel or maybe a last-minute congratulations from some guest. But the words I read instead made my heart skip a beat:

"Your parents hired someone to ruin the wedding. Danger is near. Go to the forest near this wedding building Now!. — A friend."

I barely muttered a word as I stepped back from the group. The celebration's warmth began to feel distant, like a dream slipping away. I heard Sandra and Lily call after me—asking what was wrong, why I looked pale all of a sudden.

I forced a smile. "I just need to grab something from the bride's room," I said. A harmless excuse.

But I wasn't going there.

Instead, my heels barely touched the ground as I hurried across the soft earth, behind the wedding hall, toward the forest that edged the lake. The soft chirping of insects and the gentle breeze from the water did nothing to calm the storm rising inside me.

I gripped the note tightly in my palm, each step echoing with a single thought:"What have my parents done?"

————

After get the latter from Ben (secretlly) she didn't know and rush to forest near the building and the lake after she goes inside the forest wedding gown brushed against the grass and roots as she moved, urgency and dread clawing at her chest chest she stopped..and then stand there still in here white bride gown to witness her parents Mr and Mrs mann .... with someone she have known him for a long time..

————

CAMILLE'S POV

I stood still among the trees, frozen in place as I took in the sight before me.

My parents—Mr. and Mrs. Mann—were standing there. And so was he.

Hans. (I have no idea what that guy name is was,the episode didn't tell his name or i just missed it,so i go with hans....if you read "Surviving The Game as a Barbarian" you know what i give this character name Hans ;b)

My ex-boyfriend.

He had already transformed into his Lenopan form—a large, amorphous creature made of thick, muddy matter with a dark purple hue. His yellow sclera glow from the reflection of sunlight and he had no visible pupils. That eerie, pupil-less stare locked onto me the moment I appeared.

Lenopans—my kind—were shapeshifters. Our species came in different shades: purple, blue, green. Females, like my mother and me, had whisker-like tendrils that sprouted from our faces and arms. Hans, though… Hans looked more distorted than I remembered. Darker. Wrong.

I felt like my heart was being slowly crushed,i look at my parents they looked at me.

Camille:"Is this true?" I asked my parents, my voice cracking. "You're really trying to sabotage my wedding? To stop me and Joel from ending the war between our people and the Plumbers? Just because we love each other?"

My parents' expressions weren't angry… or guilty.

They looked alarmed.

Before they could say a word, Hans stepped forward with a wicked grin, his voice smooth and unsettling.

Hans:"Oh, my sweet, sweet Camille. It's been a while, hasn't it?"

I flinched. His voice was a blade, scraping against old wounds.

Camille:"Hans…" I whispered, each syllable laced with venom and disbelief.

But just as my parents began to explain—

Mr Mann:"Camille, it's not what it looks like—!" my father tried.

Mrs Mann:"Yes, sweetie, we were going to tell you. Hans, he—" my mother added.

They didn't get to finish.

Hans snarled and attacked.

His body surged forward, hurling sludge-like fists at them. My parents dodged just in time, their forms shifting into their own Lenopan states. My father's figure matched the typical male shape of our kind. My mother, in her true form, had flowing tendrils from her cheeks and arms—elegant yet fierce.

Trees crashed down around them as the fight escalated. The battle was intense, but it was far enough from the wedding grounds that no one would see or hear...Hans was in upper hand he's one of the very strong Lenopan of our generation and with his strength he managed to push both my parents back.

Camille:"MOM! DAD!!" I shouted, panic rising.

Hans turned to me, grinning manically.

Hans:"Oh, Camille… why do you look so angry? I'm just here for the wedding. Yours... and mine." hans laugh maniaclly, his word makes me feel disgusted and my anger doesn't subside.

Camille:"Are you insane?! We're not together anymore!" I screamed. "You're dangerous! You only want to destroy! I don't love you! I never will again! Just leave me in peace, with the one i truelly love!"

Something in him snapped.

His form darkened, his muddy texture churning with rage.

Hans:"why...camille..

Why...why...why...why...WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY!!!! WHY..You chose him?! A human?! A Plumber! Over me?!" he roared.

He lashed out, flinging my parents' bodies aside with terrifying strength. They crashed into the trees behind me and collapsed, groaning but alive. Seeing my parents being attack by him, make me more angry.

That was it...that was the last..,i snapped.

My body burned with fury. I shed the illusion of a delicate bride as my form rippled and changed. The white gown was never just fabric—it was a part of me, woven into my Lenopan biology. Now, it dissolved into the mud-like humanoid of my true self, purple skin, long, flowing tendrils of hair. Two pairs of antennae rising from my cheeks.

Camille:"Enough!!" I roared.

I enlarged my arm and smashed it into Hans' face, sending him crashing through the underbrush.

But he came back just as fast—snarling, mocking.

We clashed.

The forest shook with every punch, every the attack i gave hans was faster and stronger than the first one. I fought with everything I had I continued to hit him with a barrage of attacks. But I should have known, Hans was stronger than me, He started hitting me back, pushing me...easily and trying to pin me to the ground with his twisted words haunted me as we traded blows.

Hans:"Don't resist, Camille," he sneered. "We were perfect once."

Camille:"Fuck.....you!" I screamed, grabbing him and threw him in mid-air ,I extended my arms still in my rubber-like Lenopan form and condensed my arms as I grabbed him and slamming him into the ground with a strong impact.

I continued to attack him repeatedly with several attacks, taking chunks of earth and pounding him, and also I threw the destroyed trees around at him...but my strength was fading. After each movement grew slower, heavier. He noticed.

Hans staggered to his muddy feet, chuckling as he stepped toward me—smiling and crying, his face twisted with unhinged emotion. Hans clawed back up, staggering, his show his yellow alien eyes with that crazy look and wild. His smile trembled with lunacy. a very scary, crazy and insane smile , his face smeared with small pieces of wood from the tree that I threw and hit him and Lenopan's mud-like body dropped several drops to the ground due to his unstable body.—but he kept coming he start walking toward me..slowly while controlling his body again from all the impact of the attacks that I launched while he said something.

Hans:"If I can't have you... then no one can."

He raised his hand to grab me—

He lifted his mangled hand toward my face—shaking, twitching fingers twitching like a broken puppet...

And then

BANG!

A blast of energy tore through the forest air, searing into Hans' arm and severing it clean off.

He shrieked.

I looked up.

There, standing tall—still in his white groom's suit, holding a Plumber weapon steady—was Joel.

Joel:"Hands. Off. My bride," he growled.

Hans hissed in pure hatred.

Hans:"You," he spat.

Joel:"Yeah," Joel said calmly, loading another round. "Me."

————

As Hans still recovery from pain of his Lenopan muddy arms being blaster by joel,he look at joel with revenge and madness.

Hans:"you...you damm plumber,i kill you!!" Hans launch himself toward joel,Joel just standing there still with his white groom's attire ,aim at Hans with his plumber weapon.

But thankfully, Hans being take down by powerfull punch by Mr Mann (just regain his strength after him and his wife being lunch back by Hans). Mr Mann attack follow by his wife Mrs Mann ,she attacked Hans with several punch being repeatlly launch like machine gun some hans being hit by her attack but some he Dodge it.

Hans:"aaaagh... why."Hans look at Mr and Mrs Mann.

Hans:"why you siding with that human!! Why you two also choose with that plumber!!!" Hans ask the Elder Lenopan, are they betray their own kin?

Mr Mann:"that should be me that question you kid,why want to destroy this an opportunity for our race to make peace with plumbers"the elder Lenopan said with sterm look in his muddy form.

Mr Mann:"i already sick and tired with this long war we had in generation, both people being disadvantaged during the war several generations...now its good opportunity for us to make peace...all Lenopan already agree with this and i wouldn't let you ruin this,...this my daughter wedding with someone she love." Mr Mann look at joel,Joel back with smile still holding the plumber weapon and point it to hans direction.

The true is both parents of Camelia (Mr and Mrs Mann) and Joel (Gordon tennyson and Betty Jean tennyson ex-plumber btw) already agreed and made peace, they have approved this marriage, because their children love each other.

Hans that look disbelif at Camelia father stetment launch attack again.

Hans:"i...i..i woundn't accept this!!!"he launch attack to Mr Mann blindly, but Mr Mann was helped by his wife. Mrs Mann managed to hold off Hans' attack. And make opening for Joel to blast him again.

Hans that being blast weakly at the floor still full rage he cursed Mr and Mrs Mann and all human kin and plumber before he finished his sentence he he being finished by Camellia who still standing regain her stamina back again even with her Lenopan humannoid form is an mess.

Camille: "You dared to insult my fiancé."

She drove her fist into Hans' face.

SPLAT!!

Camille: "You DARED to hurt my parents!"

She rained blows down, fast, furious—her hand form claws slashing Hans muddy form, larger her fists and pounding to the ground, sending chunks of Hans' muddy body splashing across the floor.

Camille: "AND MOST OF ALL—YOU WANTED TO RUIN MY WEDDING DAY?!"

With a final, bone-snapping crunch (if he even had bones), she stom her feet that she extended up into the sky and dropped her feet into his chest, leaving Hans wheezing and limp. His muddy form trembled like it was breaking down completely. Hans being tortune by camille brutally then let alone laying on the ground being being froze frezee by frezee gun (plumber weapon) that being used by Gordon,Joel's father. Follow by max and better jean

Gordon:"sorry we late...you all alright?" He say look worry to his in law that still in their Lenopan form, his son that look fine, and his daughter in law,in her Lenopan form but seem she looks tired.

Joel:"Dad?....Haha where have you guys been??"Joel ask his dad with joke tone.

Gordon:"sorry ,i was search this weapon after get the same annonimus latter that you also get, your mom put this in the luxuries hotel we booked do you believe that?" Gordon say fixing his cowboy hat and his white mustace and see his wife pouting.

Betty:"oh please, you need to bring that up huh?"her wife looked sarcastically at her husband.

Max Tennyson looked over at Mr. and Mrs. Mann, their bodies still shimmering with the muddy, semi-liquid texture of their Lenopan forms. He stepped closer, concern soft in his voice despite his years of battlefield experience.

Max: "Are you both alright? I know Lenopans don't take much physical damage, but that looked like it took a toll."

Mr. Mann shook his head with a calm smile, placing a reassuring hand on his wife's shoulder.

Mr. Mann: "We're alright, Mr. Max Tennyson. Just… exhausted. It's been a long day."

He gently stepped down from the platform and pulled his wife into a quiet, relieved embrace.

Meanwhile, Joel handed his weapon to Max—its barrel still faintly steaming—before making his way down to Camille. She stood in the aftermath of battle, now returned to her human form, dressed in her radiant white bridal gown. Her body trembled faintly—not from fear, but from the emotional weight of what had just happened.

Joel approached slowly, his eyes never leaving her.

Joel: "Camille… are you okay?"

He reached out, gently cupping her face in his palm. Camille leaned into his touch, her eyes shimmering with weariness and a bittersweet smile.

Camille: "I'm alright… just a little shaken. I didn't expect him to show up."

Joel didn't say anything at first—he just pulled her into a firm, comforting hug. He held her like she might disappear if he let go.

Joel (softly): "It's alright, honey. I'm just glad you're safe."

They stayed like that for a while—holding each other, surrounded by the quiet comfort of acceptance. Both sets of parents and Max stood silently, watching the couple with soft expressions. It was a rare, peaceful moment in a chaotic life.

With the situation under control, then, Max and Mr. Mann turned to the frozen, contorted body of Hans, still encased in a shimmering prison of Lenopan frost. His twisted expression captured a snapshot of pure rage and obsession.

Hans would face justice—not just for his crimes against Camille, but for violating Lenopan agreement with plumbers.

As they began to move his body to containment, Max's eyes lingered on the ripped letter still clutched in his other hand. The paper was rough, torn unevenly, like it had been scribbled in haste. He flipped it over, frowning at the odd, childish scrawl pressed deep into the fibers.

Max (murmuring): "Green crayon?"

He squinted.

Max (to himself): "Who the heck uses crayons to write something this serious? And how did this person manage to get this to me… Gordon… Betty… and Joel—inside the building? Without anyone noticing?"

He frowned deeper, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he adjusted his bowtie.

Something about this felt off.

The sun had climbed high into the sky. The digital display on his old-school plumber watch flashed: 1:00 PM.

And somewhere nearby, unnoticed among the bushes, someone was watching it all unfold.

---

Buried beneath the thick green leaves, Ben— our mc that reincarnated as Ben for three year as three-year-old —peeked out from his hiding spot, still munching a half-eaten cookie from the kid's table.

———

MC'S POV

Ben (thinking):" Holy... shit. I didn't expect that."

The timeline… it's completely different now. In the original, Mr. and Mrs. Mann were the ones who hired Camille's ex to ruin everything in original. But now... they agreed to the marriage? Even Gordon and Betty Jean are on board? That's not how this was supposed to go at all.

He sighed, tapping the side of his temple.

Ben: "Man... Hans (i just know that his name,i though he was just nameless Character ) was supposed to be a petty problem, not the main villain. But this version of him is insane. What the hell is going on here?"

Ugh… I must've missed something important....imma need to looking up later..now

He looked toward the wedding wedding venue in the distance—where the other guests still gathered at the field under the tent, unaware of the chaos that just transpired in the courtyard. Somewhere in there, Gwen, Kenny, and his parents were probably already wondering where the hell he'd run off to.

Ben: "If I don't get back soon, my mom's gonna panic like crazy. I'm still a three-year-old, dammit..."

He groaned quietly.

Ben:" And if Gwen throws another tantrum when she sees I'm gone again… yep, I'm screwed....sigh she Will glue to me to rest of the afternoon of this wedding."

He slipped back into the shadows, the green crayon still tucked behind his ear like a calling card.

———

The wedding finally began... after all the chaos and ctazyness behind the scene.

Joel and Camille stood side by side at the altar, the late afternoon sun casting a warm glow over the open field behind the wedding hall. The skies were clear—not too hot, not too cloudy—just right for a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

I still can't believe Bellwood has a wedding venue this big. Like, seriously, there was a whole outdoor section for dancing, dinner, and even a dramatic cake-cutting. Fancy.

Even though it was supposed to be a morning wedding, it got pushed to 1 PM—delayed by hours. Why? Well, first off, one of the wedding staff forgot the cake. Yep, forgot. Like, how?! But honestly, that wasn't the worst part. The real problem?

Wedding sabotage.

Just like in the original timeline. Except now, God decided to speed-run my character development while I'm still three freakin' years old, thanks a lot, the damm timing asshole. Like i know i reincarnated as MC (Ben) but come on! I'm still not well prepare yet!! Sigh anyway..

It was Camille's crazy ex-boyfriend—Hans (i didn't know that character had any name)—who crashed the wedding. Almost actually that guy were still prepare after just arrived here walk out from the lake straight to Wood/forest nearby trying to ruin everything. Lucky for us, he got stopped—hard—after a brutal fight in the forest. And yep, Camille threw hands. She went full Lenopan mode, and it was badass.

When I went to the location where the event was going to happen, I quickly made a plan and read the protocol paper that I brought with me. I may be a toddler in a tux right now, but don't underestimate me I'm an reincarnator after all even though without system just knowledge, I warned everyone. I handed out letters to Camille, Joel, Grandpa Max, Gordon, Betty Jean—heck, even the Manns. If I hadn't done that, this wedding would've turned into an all-out disaster....and I'm still grateful that they still don't know who gave them the piece of paper with the information. I'm actually proud of my skill in using mana (Although it is still not perfect, when create the hand construction to give the letter secretly), thank you for this anodite bloodline hahah, anyway.

Everything I do is for survival, partner. For Gwen—my precious cousin I've been raising for the last three years—as Allie and tool and for my parents, Uncle Frank and Aunt Lili. For Big Bro Kenny. Ain't no way I'm letting them go down on my watch... without the watch...

Anyway, Hans got frozen by Gordon and Grandpa Max and Mr. Mann handled it like pros. All's well that ends well...

Then there's Mr. and Mrs. Mann. Total curveball. Back in the OG episode, they were the cold, stuck-up villains trying to ruin Camille's life. But this time? They actually helped. When Hans showed up at the lake and stormed into the woods, they tried to stop him. Legit. I guess I was too quick to judge.

Turns out the real villains weren't the ones I expected....but an crazy yandere ex-boyfriend Lenopan.

Well... wedding saved. War ended. Peace between the Plumbers and Lenopans. And me? I'm still in a toddler tux, watching history unfold like it's just another Saturday.....but I'm..felt..fidgeting...

Not because of the suit.

But because I feel something's off.

.....

...

No.

Someone was missing.

My eyes darted around the crowd instinctively. Parents clapping, children giggling, a few Plumbers wiping away tears behind dark sunglasses. But where was—

Wait...

LUCY!!

My head whipped around like a little meerkat.

Hold up. In the original timeline, Lucy was supposed to be the flower girl for this wedding. She had that iconic moment. But now? Some other girl was in her place, not an blond hair, she not Lucy. Just a random stand-in.

...Could it be?

If today really was the same day that episode should happened...just deffrent Times because this event should be started later on on series and me and Gwen should be 10 year old there, but now its happened eight year early then that would mean Lucy... would also be just three years old like me, right?I tried to look around to find Lenopan's disguised little girl who was three years old like me,blond hair, bright full smile in this sea of guests and their children.

Sandra:"hmm what's happen sweetie?"

Crap. I must've been too obvious. I looked up and gave her my best innocent smile—the one that made toddlers look like cinnamon rolls.

Ben:"Nothin', Mommy. Just lookin' around."

Classic toddler move, paired with the big ol Smile. Nailed it.

Sandra:"Awww. Okay, sweetheart."

She bought it. Thank my cute toddler face.

To explain how I ended up back on her lap: after watching Camille go full Lenopan-badass-mode on Hans and getting a tag-team assist from Joel, Mr. and Mrs. Mann, I had to rush back to avoid getting caught sneaking away from the kids' play on the field near wedding tent. Gwen, thankfully, was too busy playing with others to notice I was gone. Kenny? He was off somewhere blushing at a girl around his age—kid's got an early start on romance. (He's eight, by the way. And totally whipped.)

My left hand was trapped in her grip. She was curled up on her mother's lap—Aunt Lili—and had latched onto me like an emotional support plushie. Can't really blame her. I've been "manipulating" her since before we could even walk. Being seven seconds older than me (something she always brags about),but means nothing when you're dealing with a reincarnated soul with adult-level social engineering skills.

In the original show, Gwen and Ben were like oil and fire—always fighting, but in this timeline? She idolizes me like a big brother.unlike In the original show. What can i say im just that good, still I really, really feel sorry towards big bro Kenny, because my little sister is closer to me for the umpteenth time. Oh anyway Kenny became the wedding ring bearer, replacing the role that should have been mine (originally Ben), but I'm now three years older. So again...sorry big bro...

I sighed internally. I wanted to get up—use the bathroom excuse maybe—and go looking for Lucy. She had to be here. I need to find Lucy,i know she's here.

How? Well, Camille just called two people "Aunt and Uncle" before the ceremony began—and if my memories serve me right, those are Lucy's parents. They wouldn't be here without bringing her she's somewhere in this crowd. I have to find her.

But escaping Gwen's grip was like trying to peel a Koala off a eucalyptus tree. I'd have to wait until the reception meal, maybe. Then I'd sneak off again.

Why was I so desperate to find Lucy you may ask?

Simple: she's another important piece on my game board. Another future ally. I don't care if she's three years old like me right now—she's still Lucy, with the right push... the right words...She could become mine.

Not in a romantic way, obviously (no way bro, hell nah). I'm emotionally stable (thanks, adulthood brain and Anodite mana). I don't need to do much manipulated her actually but still I was also very manipulative to get what i want that i could used and Lucy well be my card survival all event that would happen, help this world avoid its worst outcomes.

Calm down, I'm not selfish anymore, like in the beginning, remember? I'm going to be a hero just like Ben, but better... and also to survive and save many people...i need Lucy on this. Lucy is a card I plan to play.

Once meal time hits and everyone's distracted, I'm making my move.
