Chapter 7 - Chapter 7:The Fall Before The Fire

Many years had passed since Shadow Earth was destroyed. Even though Shadow Earth shattered into pieces, shadow power never truly dies. The Shadow Entities have evolved—become far stronger, far wiser, and completely fused with the depths of shadow power. Their abilities have now surpassed the limits of ordinary Entities; their very existence is intertwined with the fundamental forces of the universe itself.

They were eagerly waiting, burning with anticipation, to fight the Eternals.

Yet one force still held them back—Ancient.

According to him, the Shadow Entities were not yet ready. But—

One day, that silence was finally broken.

Ancient gathered all the Shadow Entities and spoke in his deep, echoing voice—

**Ancient:** "You are ready now. The time has come to wage war against the Eternals."

Having said that, he left to check whether Cronos's spaceship was in proper condition.

A wave of excitement rippled through the ranks of the Shadow Entities. The long-awaited war was finally about to begin. Their eyes burned like fire. This was not merely a war of revenge—it was a war to become even more powerful.

**Veyros:** "So where exactly are they located?"

Cypher stepped forward. His voice was sharp, strategic, and resolute—

**Cypher:** "(Answering Veyros) They don't live together in any single fixed place. Each Eternal resides in a separate domain across the universe. They customize and rule their own territory according to their power. Eternals can never stay together. You could call it their royalty… or their greatest weakness. That's why we must fight and eliminate them one by one."

**Althera:** "Then who do we destroy first?!"

**Cypher:** "It's not absolutely mandatory to decide one specific target first. However, our most logical first objective should be Volcano. Among the Eternals, he is the weakest. If we can seize his Power Stone, the rest will fall much more easily. Besides, we don't even know the exact locations of the other Eternals yet. We only managed to locate Volcano."

**Kali:** (touching his earpiece) "Ancient Sir is calling us to the spaceship. We need to depart immediately."

Everyone boarded the spaceship. Under Cronos's control, the massive vessel began to lift off. Inside the enormous base of the spaceship, the Shadow Entities waited in tense anticipation for the moment of war. At that moment, Ancient appeared.

**Ancient:** "Before the battle begins, it is absolutely necessary for you to know certain information about our enemy. Our target is Volcano. His Eternal Stone is the Fire Stone. He controls fire power. Naturally, his realm is endlessly hot—that will be our biggest obstacle. But there is a solution. It is the Power of Temperature. Fragments of this power are scattered across various parts of the universe. We have already located and secured some portions of it. However, a significant amount is currently in the possession of a certain creature who once tried—and failed—to rule several regions of the universe. We must take that Power of Temperature from him by force. That means, before Volcano, we have to fight someone else first. So prepare yourselves."

Meanwhile, Cypher and Cronos were controlling the spaceship.

**Cypher:** "What do you think—can the Shadow Entities defeat Volcano?"

**Cronos:** "They should be able to. Their progress has grown extremely fast. They have excellent control over their power. Day by day they become more skilled and stronger. So yes, they have a real chance of winning. But there is no 100% certainty—because we still don't fully understand the extent of Volcano's power."

**Cypher:** "Good point." (glancing at his watch) "It's time to open the portal."

He once again threw his portal key into space. It expanded rapidly, forming a gateway. The spaceship passed through.

They arrived on a lifeless, dark, ashen planet.

Everyone—Shadow Entities and SC members—disembarked.

**Zalvor:** "So this is that creature's domain. No followers in sight, no cosmic energy signature either. Looks like victory will be easy."

**Ancient:** "Hmm… it should be."

The Shadow Entities began advancing across the planet. Suddenly, from far away, someone was watching them. His face was hidden beneath a crown-like helmet, sharp bone-like protrusions extended from his armor, and his eyes glowed with dim gray light.

**That distant creature:** "After so many years, someone has finally come to this planet. This is going to be fun."

He began walking toward the Shadow Entities. With his approach, gray streaks of light began to illuminate the dead world. The Shadow Entities noticed him. He came closer.

**Ancient:** "So you're the one who possesses the Power of Temperature?"

**Creature:** "Yes, I have the Power of Temperature. My name is Kasto. What is your purpose for coming to my planet?"

**Soryth:** "We came to take that Power of Temperature from you. Hand it over quietly."

**Kasto:** (summoning the Power of Temperature into his hand) "Oh? So that's what you want. Then try to take it by defeating me."

**Drexer:** "As you wish."

Drexer immediately attacked. Even though Kasto tried to block, he was sent flying.

**Kasto:** "Ah! You're not as weak as I thought."

**Eryth:** "But you're even weaker than we imagined."

Enraged, Kasto charged at Eryth. But Eryth teleported away, causing Kasto to face-plant.

**Kasto:** "Enough!"

He gestured—and monsters rose from the planet's surface.

**Ancient:** "I, the SC team, Shadow warriors, and Veyros will handle these monsters. The rest of you—defeat Kasto."

SC members, Shadow Entities (excluding Veyros), and the bosses fought the monsters while advancing. Meanwhile, the main bosses battled Kasto. Kasto was fighting in pure rage, but his attacks had little effect. The bosses were easily overwhelming him with one strike after another.

Suddenly—

**Eryth:** "Let's finish him."

**Loryx:** "With pleasure."

Eryth and Soryth began unleashing a barrage of attacks on Kasto. Eryth's teleportation and Soryth's invisibility made it impossible for Kasto to land even a single hit. At one point, Eryth teleported Soryth far away. Kasto, seeing only Soryth now, charged toward him. Soryth stood motionless, waiting. Kasto ran faster. Soryth calmly sharpened his shadow claw. Kasto charged even faster.

Suddenly, Zalvor used Lightning Smash—striking Kasto's throat from the opposite direction. The combined momentum of both directions cleanly severed Kasto's neck. Soryth glanced once at the falling head, then went back to sharpening his claw as if nothing had happened.

Even with his throat cut, Kasto still tried to reach Soryth. Just as he was about to land the final blow—Eryth teleported him away again. Kasto lost balance. Drexer wrapped his chain-cleaver around Kasto. Loryx used Extreme Speed to deliver hundreds of strikes per second. Finally, Althera delivered a colossal blow with his massive Desolator.

Kasto was torn apart. The entire small planet shook from Althera's strike. Kasto was destroyed. The monsters he summoned also perished. From the remains of Kasto's body, the Power of Temperature emerged and spread among all Shadow Entities and SC members. Ancient collected some of it into several bottles.

Everyone returned to the spaceship. After this battle, the morale of the Shadow Entities soared. They had defeated Kasto so easily that they felt no special preparation was needed anymore for Volcano.

Ancient reappeared in the spaceship's main bay and said,

**Ancient:** "This battle helped us greatly. But this was not our main goal. We will reach Volcano's realm, Pyrodoma, very soon. I warn you—the Power of Temperature will not last long. We must finish the fight within 1 hour. In my opinion, the bosses and SC team will engage Volcano directly. Shadow warriors will handle the Fire Entities. However, one problem: the bosses cannot use all their abilities at full power simultaneously—it might harm each other. So focus on hand-to-hand combat and only use abilities that won't damage allies. I hope everyone understands. Prepare yourselves."

With that, Ancient left.

Meanwhile, Cypher opened another portal toward Pyrodoma.

Cronos handed spaceship control to Kali, went to a computer-filled chamber, put on a cap with many wires attached to his head, backed up all his data to a pendrive, and gave it to Cypher.

The spaceship entered Pyrodoma. At Kali's command, all Shadow Entities jumped toward Volcano's domain. When the ship reached the exact center, the bosses and SC members descended.

Excitement filled the air. Drexer spun his chain-cleaver. Veyros drew his katana—shadow aura glowing around the blade and in his eyes. Loryx moved ahead slicing through the air. Eryth briefly froze the scorching air and slid forward. Zalvor charged his sword with electric waves. SC members forged weapons from shadow energy. Cronos summoned plasma tonfas, Kali wielded a cyber kusarigama, Cypher held a telescopic staff, and Ancient grasped a staff forged from pure darkness.

They landed in an extremely hot, dark place submerged in lava, surrounded by walls of igneous rock.

**Drexer:** "So where's that Volcano? I can't wait to warm my hands by killing him."

**Ancient:** "Stay alert. He can attack from anywhere."

Everyone began searching for Volcano.

Suddenly, Soryth spotted someone rising from the shadowed edge of the domain where igneous rock cast deep shade. Red light poured from his eyes and body. With every step, the flames seemed to bow before him.

**Loryx:** (shouting) "Everyone! Over here! I think I've found Volcano!"

Hearing the shout, all SC members and bosses rushed to the spot. They gathered together. From the opposite direction, Volcano approached. He stepped out of the shadows. A mocking smile played on his face, rage burning in his eyes.

**Volcano** (laughing): "How dare you come to me?" (He looked closely at them) "I can't believe it… You are Shadow Power Entities! Finally… Shadow Power versus Fire Power once again." "Last time it was for Earth—and Shadow Power won." "This time it's for the universe. Fire will be victorious!"

**Eryth:** (whispering to Ancient) "What is this 'Earth' he's talking about? Is he referring to Shadow Earth?"

**Ancient:** "No. It's another planet."

Volcano observed the group with piercing eyes.

**Volcano:** "Where is that cursed warrior who once defeated me?"

**Drexer** (nervously): "I don't know who you're talking about…"

**Volcano:** "You know—the invincible warrior… Shadow."

**Loryx** (in disbelief, narrowing his eyes): "I knew you were strong, but I didn't know you were insane."

**Ancient** (quietly): "No… I think he might be telling the truth."

A fragment of memory stirred in Althera's mind. He saw smoke everywhere—and in the center, a victorious warrior standing proudly while Althera knelt before him.

**Althera:** "Enough! Stop! I'm feeling… something returning to me."

**Volcano** (laughing menacingly): "You don't even recognize him? Then your destruction is certain. You don't even know who you're facing."

**Zalvor** (calmly): "Enough talk. We're wasting time."

Like a storm, Zalvor charged at Volcano with full force.

The others followed.

Volcano dodged many attacks with masterful skill and blocked others. Realizing he couldn't handle them alone like this, he slammed both sabers into the ground—creating a massive shockwave. Everyone was forced back. Then, with a gesture, he summoned numerous fire beasts from within his domain. The battlefield instantly expanded.

**Cypher** (to the bosses): "We'll handle these. You focus on Volcano."

The bosses advanced toward Volcano while SC members threw themselves at the fire beasts. Cronos fired shadow lasers with his plasma tonfas. Cypher sliced them with cyber webs. Ancient absorbed their energy with his staff and unleashed massive explosions. Kali shredded them with her kusarigama.

Meanwhile, Loryx tried to poison Volcano with rapid strikes—but Volcano dodged even the unseen blows. Still, Loryx managed to land some hits. Suddenly, as Loryx prepared a massive strike, Volcano used Flame Clap—a scorching blast of air stopped Loryx in his tracks. Volcano spun his sabers like chakrams and attacked. First strike—Loryx blocked with his naginata. Second—naginata shattered. Third—armor pierced. Fourth—Loryx was sent flying, shockwaves rippling with each hit.

Volcano paused. But then Soryth attacked with his claws—causing a huge explosion. As the smoke cleared, Volcano advanced to finish Soryth—but Soryth had vanished (invisibility). Volcano tried to sense him but failed. Soryth threw a ranged weapon to distract him—causing an explosion elsewhere. Volcano moved toward it. Soryth struck from behind. Volcano staggered but recovered. Another explosion—Volcano teleported backward instead of forward. He charged his legs with lava and delivered Blaze of Kick—Soryth was sent flying, spine shattered, becoming visible again.

As Volcano advanced to finish him, Drexer attacked with relentless chain-cleaver strikes. Sparks flew with every clash. Drexer began to tire. Eryth teleported in. Now Volcano struggled against both. Their heavy and numbing attacks overwhelmed him. He tried to teleport—but couldn't find an opening. He used Pyroblast.

BOOM!!!

Eryth teleported away in time. Drexer took catastrophic damage.

Eryth signaled Althera: "Ready!"

Althera nodded and charged with Desolator. Eryth teleported Volcano directly into Althera's path—but Volcano teleported away at the last moment.

**Althera** (to Eryth): "Why did you do that?!"

**Eryth:** "I didn't."

At that instant, Volcano used Heat of Pain from behind—ripping through Eryth's chest. In Volcano's domain, even Eryth—who could normally heal in a second—couldn't regenerate properly. Loryx, Drexer, and Soryth were still unable to heal.

Now Althera, Veyros, and Zalvor fought Volcano together. A brutal, close-quarters battle ensued. Toward the end, Volcano began to weaken. Zalvor's electric attacks spread lightning through his body, causing him to lose control. Veyros's katana strikes were unbelievably precise—leaving deep gashes. Althera's blows were overwhelmingly heavy—Volcano feared him most.

Finally, Althera delivered a devastating heavy attack. Volcano caught the Desolator with both hands and was pushed back several steps, hands trembling.

At that moment, Zalvor used Thunder Wave to weaken Volcano further, and Veyros unleashed Cutting Flash toward Volcano's chest. Volcano ducked just in time—only his head was grazed instead.

Volcano realized he had no choice. He used Pyro Blast to push Althera, Veyros, and Zalvor away. Then he placed both hands on the ground and absorbed the surrounding lava. His body glowed intensely—his head healed in seconds.

Meanwhile, more Fire Entities began entering the domain.

**Veyros** (to the other bosses): "I'll handle them."

He carved through the incoming Fire Entities, climbed the igneous rock wall, and saw that Shadow warriors were being overwhelmed. Now the Fire Entities were trying to enter the inner domain. Veyros used Shadow Clone—two katanas extended, sliding downward with a shadowy duplicate mimicking him perfectly. Then he activated Summoning Ability and Asteroid Ability. Countless soldiers poured from unknown portals while asteroids rained from the sky—a scene of apocalyptic destruction. Yet the Fire Entities numbered in the billions. Still, Veyros managed to protect the Shadow Entities and push the Fire Entities back out of the domain.

Meanwhile, Zalvor and Althera continued fighting Volcano. But now Volcano's power had surged beyond previous levels—and it kept increasing. Zalvor charged his weapon with lightning and struck. Volcano didn't even flinch. Instead, he kicked Zalvor away—crashing him into the igneous rock wall. Then Volcano yanked his weapon from the ground and hurled it at Zalvor. Zalvor raised his sword to block—but the sword shattered, and Zalvor's entire skeleton broke. His body was crushed. The sheer force of the throw cracked the igneous wall.

SC members had finished off the fire beasts, but seeing the bosses' dire situation, they realized defeat was imminent. They had to escape.

**Ancient** (to Cypher): "Open a portal."

**Cypher:** "Volcano's domain power is too strong. Portals won't open here."

**Ancient:** "Then you and Kali take all the bosses outside the domain. And send all Shadow Entities back to the spaceship through a portal. Hurry—we've already run out of the 1-hour window."

**Cypher:** "Yes, sir. But what about you?"

**Ancient:** "Don't worry about me. Cronos—come with me."

They charged toward Volcano. Althera was still fighting but clearly couldn't last much longer. He used Shadow Hand—a blue energy gripped Volcano's throat and lifted him. Volcano grabbed the energy with both hands and tore it apart in an explosion. Althera was stunned.

At that moment, Ancient placed a hand on Althera's shoulder.

**Ancient:** "We cannot win this battle. Get out of the domain quickly. Kali, Cypher, and the others are waiting outside."

Althera nodded and began retreating. Volcano pursued.

**Volcano:** "You can't escape like this. You must die!"

Cronos intercepted him. Meanwhile, Kali and Cypher had taken the bosses outside the domain. There they saw Veyros still fighting alongside his summoned warriors against endless Fire Entities—but his forces were nearly gone.

Cypher slashed the air with his knife, opening a portal. Kali began guiding all Shadow Entities through it.

**Veyros:** "What are you doing?"

**Kali:** "No time to explain—get inside now!"

Though curious, Veyros entered. Althera arrived soon after, face filled with despair. He too entered the portal. Kali and Cypher followed and closed it.

Volcano and Cronos began fighting. Volcano attacked furiously, but Cronos defended. At one point Cronos retreated slightly, spun his tonfas, gathered surrounding shadow energy, and created a Shadow Vortex—hurling it at Volcano.

But Volcano was fully prepared. He crossed his sabers and unleashed Fire Cross—slicing through the Shadow Vortex and striking Cronos. A massive explosion erupted. When the smoke cleared, Cronos's robotic body lay in four pieces. No one had ever cut Cronos before—until now.

Ancient realized he had to escape immediately. Volcano advanced toward him. Ancient struck the ground with his staff, embedding it deep. Then he unleashed his dark energy—enveloping several kilometers in a sphere of pure darkness. Inside, time itself seemed to slow.

**Ancient:** "We will return. Prepare yourself for destruction."

With a gesture, he summoned a Shadow Dragon that lifted him into the air. Having used so much power, Ancient was extremely weakened—he could barely speak. The dragon carried him to the spaceship and vanished. Cypher rushed out and brought Ancient inside.

Meanwhile, the dark energy sphere dissipated. Volcano found no Shadow Entities left. He screamed in rage, cursing them madly.

Inside the spaceship, heavy silence and disappointment filled the Shadow Entities. They couldn't accept this defeat.

Ancient rested. Cypher piloted the ship. Kali entered a large computer chamber, extracted Cronos's data from the pendrive, and opened another sealed room. Inside was Cronos's emergency backup body. Kali transferred the data.

Cronos awakened in the new body.

**Cronos:** "Is the battle over?"

**Kali:** "Yes."

**Cronos:** "Did we win or lose? I don't remember anything—I backed up my data before the fight."

**Kali:** "We lost."

Cronos looked disappointed and sad for a moment, then went to take control of the ship. Cypher opened another portal. The Shadow Entities returned home.

Upon returning, everyone's morale was shattered.

Fearing Volcano might counter-attack, Ancient ordered Cronos's robots to construct a massive Gate on their planet. Inside this space they created the **Shadow Realm**. Each boss was given their own separate kingdom within it. There they began intense training—carrying the burning fire of revenge in their hearts—for many years.
