Chapter 10 - BACKSTAB PART-3

A faint voice broke the tension.

"I… I'm still alive…"

Vishnu coughed, body trembling.

"Ahh… it hurts. Everything hurts…"

Bhagya (gasping):

"Father?! You're… you're alive!"

Vishnu's Internal Monologue

I don't have time for reunions.

I have to save him.

I can only use my chakra twice more.

No wasting it. I need a distraction—a bait.

Wait… the street. There were dogs in that alley.

If I can reach their minds, I can bring them here. Make them attack. Draw the enemy's attention.

And Bhagya… I have to transfer my memories.

If he's going to survive this, he needs to know everything—how to return to Shambhala… safely.

No more hesitation. I'll do it.

Root chakra… activated. Divine force… declared.

Vishnu guides his power to the street and then directly controls their mind.

Vishnu: Bhagya! Listen carefully. This might be my last time.

Bhagya interjecting: No, father, don't say it.

Vishnu: Bhagya, silence. I don't have time for words. You have to go back to your mom. We don't need money or jobs; we want to live. Do you understand?

Bhagya: But Father, I don't know the direction of Shambhala, I might get lost.

Vishnu: Give me your hand!

Bhagya gives his hand, Vishnu grabs his hand, and…. Divine voice declared the root chakra awakened!

Vishnu starts transferring his memories to Bhagya, but….

Kira says, Come on, you don't want to play with me as he was standing on a mysterious man's body!

Without anyone noticing, Kira had silently taken down the man. Now, he stood on his chest like a king over a fallen pawn.

Rina: When did he defeat him? I didn't even see him!

What happened?

Kira suddenly comes and chops Vishnu's hand and kicks him away from everyone.

Vishnu: My body is so weak that I can't feel pain( but his eyes were constantly leaking with tears in regret of leaving everything incomplete).

Dogs arrive on the scene and attack Kira instantly. Kira uses his reflexes and jumps away from the mysterious man's body.

The mysterious man was not killed, but Kiras' speed overwhelmed him in an instant! A mysterious man rushes towards Rina and says:

"Glitch is here."

Rina replies:" universe", huh? It was you all along!

Kira was constantly dogging dogs and mocking them all by saying, "Even stray dogs fight with more purpose than you."

Collapsed Vishnu was on the ground, and so was Bhagya!

Rina: Why is he unconscious?

Mysterious man: "The surge of memories overloaded him — his mind's trying to survive."

Kira's internal monologue:

Hmm! Why are they sending dogs towards me? Are they thinking that they can run by showing it as bait?

I think I should dodge it to see what they are really planning so that I can crush it like they did to my hope!

Kira, seeing Vishnu's collapsed body, said: Hmm, I got something interesting on my mind!

Kira: Listen, you filthy dogs!

By the sheer weight of his voice, dogs became statues if they were loyal to him.

Kira's voice ripped through the air like a curse:

"Listen, you filthy mutts! EAT HIM!"

He pointed the Destroyer at Vishnu's collapsed body.

The dogs—those innocent creatures Vishnu had summoned with his last strength—froze. Their eyes flickered between loyalty and fear, caught in a nightmare command they couldn't disobey.

Vishnu stirred faintly, blood pooling beneath him. His thoughts were fractured, like glass shards cutting into his fading consciousness:

What… what is happening? Why… can't I hear him? Why are they… still?

Then—movement.

The dog lunged.

Teeth sank into his flesh.

First his legs, then his arms—

Tearing, ripping, devouring the very man who had called them.

Vishnu didn't scream.

He couldn't. His throat was raw with blood, his breath shallow as a dying ember. Only his eyes—once calm, now wide with silent horror—spoke for him.

And through the blur, he saw Bhagya.

His son.

Still frozen, his tiny body trembling as if chained by fate.

Good… he's alive.

That single thought anchored Vishnu to life, even as chunks of his body were torn away like meat from bone.

Kira stood above the carnage, laughing—a hollow, merciless sound.

"Oh? Look at this. Your precious savior… eaten alive by the beasts he trusted."

He tilted his head, Destroyer gleaming under the dim light.

"Poetic, isn't it?"

One dog hesitated.

It stepped back, whimpering, refusing to join the slaughter.

Kira's smile vanished.

"Oh… a rebel?"

His blade flashed.

The dog's head rolled across the floor, leaving a crimson trail.

The others froze, trembling.

"Good boys obey," Kira whispered, voice like ice. "Now… finish your meal."

They did.

Bones cracked. Flesh vanished. The smell of iron and ash filled the air.

By the time it ended—

Vishnu was unrecognizable.

A broken man, reduced to a mangled shadow of himself.

But his last act wasn't a failure.

Because in those final seconds—

He forced the memories into Bhagya.

Everything.

Every route, every secret, every warning—burned into his son's mind like fire.

A violent surge erupted from Vishnu's trembling arm as his half-severed hand gripped Bhagya's wrist with inhuman desperation.

"Shambhala… live…"

His voice cracked like brittle glass.

Then silence.

Bhagya's body went rigid.

Paralyzed.

A storm of foreign visions crashed through his mind like tidal waves:

He saw variations in everything! , in every atom to the universe itself

Live… live… live.

Then—darkness.

The dogs feasted.

Kira watched, arms folded, his shadow stretching like a noose across the blood-soaked floor.

When the last bone cracked and silence dripped into the ruins, Kira's voice cut through the rot like steel:

"Done? Good."

He tilted his chin toward the corpses.

"Now burn this trash. We're leaving."

But then—

A sound.

A breath.

A whisper clawing its way out of hell itself.

"...No…"

Kira blinked.

Bhagya was awake.

Slow. Broken.

His body shook like a snapped string, but his eyes—his eyes burned.

Not with tears.

With something else.

Rage.

The air bent.

Colors warped.

The walls stretched like melting wax as the Glitch tore through reality.

Cracks spiderwebbed across the floor, bleeding static and distortion.

Kira's grin widened, slicing across his face like a scar.

"…Finally. Something good to play."

Bhagya screamed.

Not a human sound—an echo of broken worlds twisting through his throat.

His veins bulged black, his nails digging deep until his palms bled.

And then—

BOOM.

The room exploded in fractured light.

Shapes split, bent, and multiplied until Bhagya stood everywhere.

Ten copies. Twenty.

A swarm of broken reflections, all screaming the same primal wail.

Kira's laughter curdled the air.

"So, that's your trick? Pathetic."

The Destroyer answered with a roar—

Street Destructor.

The world shook as twin blades blurred into a cyclone of slaughter.

WHOOSH—

Steel became storm.

One by one, the clones died screaming, spraying crimson across the walls.

Bhagya collapsed.

The real one.

The last one.

His ribs screamed. His lungs burned.

Kira towered above him, blade raised for the final cut.

"Game over, little shit."

The blade fell—

PSHHHH!

A hiss like a snake spitting fire.

White mist burned through the air.

"AAAARGHH! MY EYES—!"

Kira reeled back, roaring, clawing at his face.

The mysterious man stood there, hand clenched around a canister of pepper spray.

No words. No hesitation.

He snatched Bhagya with one arm and Rina with the other.

"Hold on."

They bolted.

Boots slammed against splintered wood as the man sprinted toward the shattered window.

Two floors up—

They leapt.

THUNK!

Something cut the air like lightning.

A blade.

Kira's blade.

It kissed the man's leg—a shallow slice. Barely a scratch.

But the Destroyer drank.

A single drop of blood vanished into its edge like ink in water.

Kira didn't notice.

Not yet.

They hit the ground hard, rolled, and vanished into the smoke-choked night.

Back in the ruin, water splashed over Kira's burning eye.

He exhaled slowly.

"…They escaped."

Then his smile crept back, jagged and cruel.

"I don't care. I've got enough organs to sell."

His gaze fell to the mangled corpses. He saw Vishnu's eaten corpse and sat down near it. He starts to explain to Vishnu as if he were his lost family, as the industry was getting darker and darker, Kira began to explain things to Vishnu's corpse.

"Vishnu, you wouldn't be in this condition if you were not with them. I knew from very beginning that you were with them, non-corruptors because you spawned near boundary out of thin air and these kind of weird powers are only with them (he touched Vishnu's half eaten cheeks and continues), I framed you from very beginning, I gave you non corruptors cloth so that I have a reason for why I killed you and avoid conflict, and there was bounty on non-corruptors so I thought it would be a great thing if we do this in capital, I saw your and that kid's bonding, so I decided to break it, I was thinking how to but then I saw Bhagya being kidnapped I did nothing because it was a great opportunity for it and if I kill bounty hunters too I am having more money by selling their organs then he said it would be good if this world was not this cruel but whatever I am bored"

He stood up and collected every corpse and their bones too

But then his hand tightened on the Destroyer's hilt.

It pulsed.

It had tasted blood.

And no matter where they ran, it would find them.

Later.

The world blurred.

Bhagya stood on a rooftop, two floors up, wind clawing at his torn clothes.

Blood dried black on his face.

His father's voice still echoed—

Live… Bhagya… live…

He looked down.

The street waited like an open grave.

His fists clenched until nails split skin.

"Why… didn't I die… with Father?"

His knees buckled.

Tears burned.

And then he jumped.

Blackout.
