Chapter 12 - Big Sister Wu Ascends

The moment Xie Yulong offered a smile, it was as if a quiet moonlit breeze had brushed through the dorm.

It wasn't mocking. It wasn't even meaningful.

Just a slight curl at the corners of his lips.

Yet to Xiao Wu, it landed like a thunderclap to the heart.

Her cheeks flushed instantly.

> Why is he looking at me like that?! It's not fair—he's using face attacks!

To hide her embarrassment (and her rapidly overheating ears), she puffed up her chest like a proud rabbit about to declare war.

"You! I challenge you for the boss position!"

A wave of gasps swept across the dorm like a spirit wind.

Tang San's brows lifted.

Wang Sheng, midway through drinking water, choked so violently he sprayed it across a younger student's blanket.

Xie Yulong blinked, not surprised as he guessed this could happen but still acted surprised. "Me?"

Xiao Wu nodded fiercely, placing her hands on her hips in full Big Sister mode. "You said the rule was strongest is the boss, right? I want to fight!"

Around them, boys began whispering excitedly, but none dared laugh outright. Not after everything that happened.

Xie Yulong tilted his head, amused. "Alright."

> Why not? Maybe it'll be interesting.

He stepped forward. Students scattered like leaves in the wind, forming a circle around them. Some even climbed onto beds to get a better view, whispering bets under their breath.

Tang San quietly moved into a corner and closed his eyes for a brief moment.

> Purple Demon Eye.

A faint glimmer of purple rose within his pupils.

> "Let's see… what kind of strength you two are hiding."

And see if the Dragon God martial soul lives up to the hype…

In the center, Xiao Wu bounced on her toes like a warmup dance—graceful, light, and a little too energetic for someone supposedly about to lose.

"Don't hold back just because I'm a girl," she said sweetly.

Xie Yulong gave a quiet smile. "I won't."

> Why do I suddenly feel like I stepped into a sparring match with a bunny-themed hurricane…?

Their eyes locked.

A flicker passed between them—predator and prey.

But this time, the prey had opinions.

---

The instant Xiao Wu moved, the room's atmosphere shifted.

Gone was the cutesy bunny girl. In her place: a pink-cheeked martial artist with years of combat rhythm echoing in her steps.

She darted forward like lightning, foot aimed low at Xie Yulong's ankle.

He slid backward, a precise half-step, and twisted his leg slightly to parry the hit—casual, like brushing a leaf aside.

No strain. No force. Just flow.

She didn't stop. Her palm darted out, feinting high, while her braid swung at his neck like a whip.

He tilted sideways just enough for it to pass by his ear.

> Is that... hair-fu? thought one boy, awestruck.

Still, no attack.

No counter.

Just parries.

Xiao Wu frowned as she danced around him, throwing kicks and spins with fluid grace.

Round five passed. Then round six. Then ten.

She attacked with her legs, with her hands, even tried faking a fall to spring a surprise sweep—

None of it worked.

Xie Yulong didn't so much fight as… glide.

Not a single attack. Not a hint of aggression.

Just defensive footwork smoother than all the teachers.

Boys on the sideline exchanged dumbfounded looks.

"…She's insanely good."

"No kidding. I'd already be in traction."

"She's scary and adorable—like a battle bunny."

"Her braid has better footwork than I do…"

"But look at him! He's not even trying!"

Tang San's brows twitched. Even with Purple Demon Eye, he couldn't find a flaw in her flow.

> She's really not below me in close combat skill… but...

> Why isn't she landing a single hit?

Then came the scariest moment of all—

Xiao Wu stopped bouncing.

She narrowed her eyes. Her lips curved into a sharp grin.

"Alright then. Don't blame me for taking this seriously!"

And with a glow of soul power—

Rabbit ears popped out. A fluffy tail appeared. Her posture sharpened. Her muscles seemed to relax and tighten at the same time.

She was no longer dancing.

She was spring-loaded death in pink shoes.

The dorm went dead silent.

> "That's… her spirit body enhancement form?" one boy whispered.

"…She's cute…"

"No, she's terrifying."

"Wait—how is her soul power already at level 10?!"

Someone whispered, "She awakened like… a few weeks ago."

> Innate full spirit power…?

Tang San froze. His jaw tightened slightly.

> Just like me…

His eyes flicked toward Xie Yulong again.

> Then what about you…? What kind of monster are you really?

Everyone turned toward the calm boy in the center.

> Dragon God.

The name alone made it sound like it should arrive with thunder and flame.

Everyone stared at the center of the room.

Surely now… Xie Yulong would reveal it.

Summon his martial soul.

Unleash the martial soul they were all hoping to glimpse.

Let them witness what a Dragon God looks like!

And yet—

Nothing.

No rings. No glow. Not even a flicker of soul power.

Xie Yulong merely raised his hands again, gently open at the sides, like a scholar preparing to receive a passing breeze.

Still just… parrying.

Even now.

Xiao Wu launched herself like a spring uncoiled.

She was faster now. Much faster.

Xiao Wu zipped around him in a blur, her enhanced agility warping her posture like something out of a rabbit-themed martial arts movie.

She came in with an aerial flip, twisted into a low arc, and snapped up with her knee—

Her scorpion braid came like a whip from above.

He glided left.

She pounced, braided whip and palm strike moving in tandem—

He leaned right.

> This guy... is so strong! someone muttered.

And then—

He moved.

Just once.

In that fleeting instant, when her braid flicked overhead and her knee came from below, he ducked under her center, placed one hand behind her leg, and gently twisted her momentum.

THUD.

Xiao Wu hit the floor like a pillow tossed on a bed—Not pain. Not injury. Just the quiet weight of absolute defeat.

She blinked up at the ceiling. "…What… just happened?"

From the corner, Tang San's expression changed.

> "I didn't see it."

"Even with Purple Demon Eye… I couldn't catch his movement."

Xie Yulong crouched slightly, extending a hand.

Xiao Wu stared at it for a beat too long, cheeks burning.

Then she took it with a reluctant pout.

He pulled her up with zero fanfare.

"I don't want to be the boss anyway," he said plainly. "You can keep it."

Her jaw dropped. "...Really?"

She blinked. Then, in a matter of seconds, her mood did a complete 180.

"Then I, Xiao Wu, reluctantly accept!"

She turned dramatically toward the others. She puffed her chest with pride, posed heroically, one hand on her hip and the other pointed high and declared to the dorm:

"From now on, I am the boss of Dorm Seven! all of you will call me Big Sister Wu!"

Around the room, chaos returned—but this time, cheerful chaos.

"Big Sister Wu, yes ma'am!"

"Please don't kick me."

"She's gonna make us do bunny drills, isn't she?"

"I'll do your laundry if you promise not to train on my bed!"

"Shh, she's looking—ACT LOYAL!"

"Long live Sister Wu!"

Even Tang San smiled faintly at the absurdity.

But in his heart, one thought echoed louder than the laughter around him:

> Xiao Wu has innate full spirit power and she's already terrifying.

> And Xie Yulong… is far scarier than both of us. Because that wasn't even his full strength.
