Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Blood Moon Rakshasa

"Soul Avatar." In that instant, Tang San's voice seemed to carry a demonic tone. The already pitch-black surroundings plunged into complete darkness, as even the Illumination Soul Guidance Devices on the ground lost their light, as if swallowed by some unseen force.

Boom! Suddenly, a crimson Blood Moon rose slowly from the dark earth, as though an ancient and unfathomable deity had awakened from the depths of the underworld.

Hum— As the Blood Moon ascended, a white Ghost Ring manifested beneath Tang San's feet. A chilling, sinister aura swept through the air, and an indescribable power suppressed the entire space. It was as if the Rakshasa, slumbering for countless eons, had finally awakened—and with its awakening came dominion over all.

At this moment, Tang San's Soul Avatar fully manifested. His eyes snapped open, their color shifting from the violet of Purple Demon Eyes to a deep, ominous purple-red. Just as a Beast Spirit would alter one's appearance upon possession, his terrifying blood-red eyes seemed capable of devouring souls, striking fear into the hearts of all who met his gaze.

Yet, Tang San remained Tang San. His physique did not grow burly or towering like those possessed by Beast Spirits. However, an illusion took hold—anyone standing before him now felt insignificant.

!!!!

Sensing the terrifying aura of Tang San's Soul Avatar, the bizarre Insect Soul Beast bristled, its sensory hairs standing on end like exploding needles. Its compound eyes locked onto the figure standing beneath the Blood Moon.

"Die!" Without hesitation, Tang San roared. His speed surged beyond normal limits, surpassing even the Insect Soul Beast, which was renowned for its agility.

His palms shot forward, wreathed in bloody energy—one strike like an abyss, two strikes capable of splitting the void. Tang San didn't even use a Soul Skill, yet the sheer force of his attack made the air tremble.

Hiss!! Enraged that a mere human Soul Master dared to engage it in close combat, the Insect Soul Beast let out a furious screech. In the blink of an eye, it retaliated with lightning-fast punches midair.

Fist met palm in a devastating collision. The two overwhelming forces clashed like a storm, each attack neutralizing the other.

Then—Crack! Tang San's Soul Power erupted violently. The Insect Soul Beast was sent flying, tumbling through the air before barely regaining its footing.

"Little bug, it seems you're involved in something extraordinary." Tang San's expression darkened. He knew this Insect Soul Beast was no ordinary foe. If he didn't capture it here, it would be like releasing a tiger back into the wild—inviting future calamity.

"Ghost Ring Soul Skill—First Soul Skill: Rakshasa Blood Scythe!" With a single thought, the Blood Moon above Tang San melted, streams of crimson liquid flowing down and coalescing into a blood-red scythe of death in his grasp.

Tang San speculated that, much like the Asura God wielded the Asura Sword, the Rakshasa God must have possessed its own divine weapon. However, the whereabouts of its artifact remained unknown. Thus, his First Soul Skill materialized the Rakshasa God's legendary weapon.

Seeing Tang San summon his weapon, the Insect Soul Beast followed suit—its Insect Armor morphing into bladed edges.

Tang San wasted no words, gripping the Rakshasa Demon Scythe as he slashed forward. Blood-colored blade light transformed into a deadly arc—this scythe could sever life and death in a single stroke, claiming heads with each cut.

His speed rivaled a thunderbolt. A crimson streak darted through the darkness, instantly appearing behind the Insect Soul Beast. The hooked scythe aimed precisely at the beast's neck. With a horizontal sweep of the Rakshasa Scythe, demonic intent surged forth. No matter how sturdy the Insect Soul Beast's carapace was, this slash was enough to cleave through its neck.

Clang! The Insect Soul Beast crossed its twin blades midair, blocking Tang San's strike in the most straightforward manner.

Seeing such a cunning attack being parried, Tang San realized the beast's compound eyes provided omnidirectional vision—rendering ambushes and Hidden Weapons useless.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! The blood-red demon scythe in his hands whirled madly. The massive blade obeyed Tang San's will as if it were an extension of his body. Combined with the scythe's unique structure, each strike was executed with lethal precision. After Soul Avatar activation, Tang San's physique, perception, and speed had all been dramatically enhanced. Even his mastery of the demon scythe seemed innate, every movement refined to perfection.

For a moment, the Insect Soul Beast was suppressed. No matter where it fled, Tang San—swifter by far—closed the distance effortlessly.

"Ghost Ring, Second Soul Skill—Crescent Slash Style!"

With a resounding shout, Tang San's Soul Power surged. The Ghost Ring blazed with radiant light once more. The first Soul Skill of the Ghost Ring was innate, allowing seamless scythe combat upon Soul Avatar activation. The second Soul Skill, however, had just been unlocked after absorbing the Soul Rings of five Thousand-Year Soul Beasts.

In an instant, Tang San unleashed a barrage of crimson crescent slashes toward the Insect Soul Beast. Each arc resembled a blood-red crescent moon, elongated and trailing.

These crescent slashes were unstoppable, cleaving through everything in their path. The surrounding Soul Guidance Devices were sliced cleanly in half, unable to withstand the assault. Wolf Raiders trapped within the devices were drenched in spurting blood, as if caught in a crimson downpour. Their heads rolled—a merciful release from their torment.

Boom! Boom! Boom! The mountain walls bore deep gouges from the relentless crescent slashes. The Rakshasa Demon Scythe's attacks were too dense, too swift. No matter how agile or fast the Insect Soul Beast was, evasion was impossible.

Splat! Splat! Blood sprayed wildly. Initially, the beast managed to deflect some strikes with its blades. But as the slashes grew more frenzied, its Insect Armor was breached. Wounds multiplied across its body—clear signs of severe injury.

Whoosh! Tang San, still in Rakshasa Soul Avatar form, flashed behind the Insect Soul Beast. Gripping the scythe's handle with both hands, he spun it overhead at blinding speed, forming a crimson ring.

"Slash!"

Faster than words could capture, the whirling scythe descended upon the beast with devastating force. The slash seemed capable of splitting space itself, its speed rendering it nearly invisible—only a fleeting red streak remained in its wake.

Squelch! Blood erupted violently. The Razor-sharp Rakshasa Demon Scythe, driven by Tang San's full power, cleaved through the Insect Soul Beast's right side—starting from the shoulder—in one brutal stroke.

Hiss! The Insect Soul Beast turned around the moment it was slashed and kicked Tang San squarely in the chest. Tang San retaliated with a punch that sent the beast reeling. With a loud bang, Tang San was sent flying like a meteor, crashing into the wall and leaving a deep crater surrounded by radiating cracks.

"Cough, cough... This Insect Soul Beast is truly berserk. Instead of fleeing when struck, it chose to trade lives!" This was Tang San's first encounter with such a frenzied battle—the opponent fought with complete disregard for its own life. Even after losing half its body, it could still unleash such a powerful counterattack.

Clatter. Tang San stepped out of the crater, rubble falling from his body. The beast's kick had even shattered his Soft Silver Armor—proof of just how devastating a dying creature's last strike could be.
