Chapter 47 - The Journey's Start

And we finally get to where Miwa ended up.

Just like her parents, Miwa doesn't like getting compared to them. XD

(At the time of writing this, you're all now caught up with the newest chapters from Wattpad. Which means I'll be putting this story on pause here until I have more chapters ready. If you wanna be up to date with the newest chapters, you can do it on Wattpad.)

*With Miwa.*

Miwa were horrfied when she got struck down by the wishing stars, old memories of the past returning to her as she acted on instinct to use her powers to get away. But were unable to act fast enough.

Everything went blank for her, and that was the end of Miwa's existence...

.

.

.

.

.

Or that's what Miwa thought when she suddenly woke up with a scream, looking around her surroundings for her friends and parents. Only to take in everything looked different.

"W-what happened? Where are the others?" Miwa stumbled getting up from the cold ground.

Miwa had somehow ended up in the middle of a destroyed Megapolis city that was covered in crystals and ice.

"How is that possible, we beat Lady Bone Demon just a few hours ago." Miwa walked through the empty city, the atmosphere was eerie and cold.

Getting a bad feeling, Miwa pulled the hood of her scarf over her head. Covering some of her face as she went into the shadows, trying to hide her presence while sneaking around.

The deeper Miwa went into the city, she soon saw Lady Bone Demon's mech still standing. With Wukong's staff still frozen in place.

"How? This can't be possible." Miwa were grown more worried and confused about what was really going on and how come everything was back to Lady Bone Demon still being around.

Miwa observed her surroundings carefully, not seeing anyone around for now. "I don't know what is going on, but I might as well try and get back the staff."

Taking one last look around, Miwa used the shadows until she appeared in front of the staff. She reached forward and grabbed it.

"Trying to take back the staff again Macaque, I see you haven't learned anything from last time." A familiar voice spoke from behind.

Miwa slightly jumped when hearing her voice. But found it weird that Lady Bone Demon thought she was Macaque.

She gulped nervously but didn't say a word. "As much as I hate getting compared to my parents, this might be my best chance... I think."

Realizing what Miwa just told herself in her head, made her feel even more annoyed. Just like her parents she didn't like to be compared to someone. "Why do I have to be like my parents?"

"Not gonna say anything? Well, that should make things easier. My champion, finish him." spoke Lady Bone Demon in an eerie tone.

"Champion? Oh no." Miwa quickly let go of the staff as she dodged an incoming attack from Wukong.

Miwa's hoodie feel off her head as she was now standing face to face with Wukong.

"You aren't Macaque, my child. Another monkey I see, didn't think there were more of you annoying simians." said Lady Bone Demon both surprised but also annoyed.

Miwa raised an eyebrow at Lady Bone Demon's reaction, finding it a little strange. "Doesn't she know who I am? I'm pretty sure she did."

Wukong charged at Miwa with another attack, which she quickly dodges and summons her shadow clones to take him on.

"You're right, I'm not Macaque. But that doesn't chance anything Boney." Miwa summoned her spear next as she blocked a direct punch from Wukong, which ended with knocking her back into a broken building.

"S-shit." Miwa coughed out a bit of blood, but still kept on standing. "None of this makes sense. She doesn't seem to know me and everything feels so off."

Miwa didn't have much time to gather her thoughts as Wukong destroyed the broken building, forcing her back outside and into his sight.

"Dad snap out of it, you stupid old baboon!" shouted Miwa, using her spear to launch broken debris at Wukong.

Wukong however didn't seem to react to her words, and suddenly appeared in front of her. Catching Miwa off guard as she got punched in the guts and sent flying back into another building.

The wind got knocked out of Miwa when Wukong got a clean hit on her, the broken building falling down on her.

With what energy Miwa still had in her, she acted fast by creating a star shield over herself, stopping the broken debris of the building from falling down on her.

"This isn't good, I'm still exhausted from the fight before I ended up here. Wherever this is." Drops of sweat were running down Miwa's face as she was struggling to keep the shield up.

"Fascinating, looks like you're still alive. Not many can take an attack from Sun Wukong and still be standing." said Lady Bone Demon floating over, observing Miwa and the situation she was in. "Who are you child?"

Miwa narrowed her eyes up at Lady Bone Demon, golden eyes filled with determination. "Miwa the Luna Kid. A warrior."

Hearing Miwa's last word seemed to have piqued Lady Bone Demon's interest as she got closer, now standing right in front of her. "A warrior you say, reminds me a bit of the Monkie Kid. You might not be Macaque, but you do seem to take after him."

Miwa's left eyebrow slightly twitched similarly to Macaque, a hint of annoyance. "Really? A lot of people do say that, well either him or my Dad. But really, I don't see it."

"Even that attitude of yours. You simians are so much alike it's sickening." said Lady Bone Demon annoyed by Miwa's attitude towards her.

Chains suddenly appeared from the ground and wrapped around Miwa, keeping her in place and unable to move.

"Ah!" Miwa growled in her struggles but forced a smile on her face, even when her star shield was starting to break. "Don't need to waste your energy on my expense. It might just break you."

"Urgh, not only Macaque but even Sun Wukong. You certainly take after those two it seems." Lady Bone Demon glared and tried taking control of her mind.

Miwa suddenly felt an old striking pain in her head, screaming as she tried breaking free. "Get out of my head! I'm not doing this bullshit again!"

In her struggle to break free, the shield over her head finally broke. The debri falling down her Miwa.

But just as everything seemed grim, a shadow portal appeared under Miwa and dragged her in at the last moment.

*Somewhere else.*

"Ah!" Miwa fell out of the portal and hit the ground. "Can this day get any worse?"

"It could have, if I didn't save you in the last second kid." said a familiar voice standing in front of her.

Miwa looked up and had never been this relieved to see Macaque, she almost jumped up to hug him. But seeing how Lady Bone Demon didn't know her, Miwa hesitated to act familiar with him.

"Thanks for the save." said Miwa getting up with a smile.

Macaque rolled his eyes, giving a scoff. "Don't thank me kid, I only saved you because MK told me."

Miwa looked over at where Macaque was pointing as she was suddenly pulled into a hug.

"Thank the Buddha you aren't dead! When I saw you fighting against the Monkey King, I was worried he might have killed you too." said MK, full of relief.

Miwa almost lost her balance from the hug, the familiar feeling she missed. Slowly returning the hug until what he said clicked in her head and she pulled away. "Wait what? Killed too? What do you mean by that?"

A sad expression grew on MK's face, slowly turning his head to avoid eye contact. "... Monkey King killed some of my friends when we tried taking him on. Only a few of us made it out alive."

A shocked look grew on Miwa's face when hearing what Wukong had done. Only then did she notice that they were hiding on flower fruit mountain, in Wukong's home.

Standing in the kitchen area was Sandy making some tea while only having one arm. Next to him was Mo the cat with one eye and a prosthetic left back leg.

Sitting on the couch was Ne Zha, covered in bruises and bandages. While trying to figure out a plan to get back Wukong's staff.

The sound of fighting could be heard outside the hut, clearly Redson who was busy training Mei.

With this Miwa suddenly realized who wasn't with them. Her eyes widened in horror. "No... Tang... Pigsy."

MK shook his head, snapping out of it. "Anyway, you must be tired. I'll make you some noodles for you to eat, while Sandy gets you some tea."

Miwa just nodded as she observed MK going to the kitchen and began working on the food.

Just like her, Macaque was also observing her closely. While he did save her, he had actually been listening in to her conversation with Lady Bone Demon, making him a little skeptical. "She is hiding something."

Miwa found herself a seat and happily accepted the tea and noodles. Though it wasn't that long since she ate, she had given the rest of her food to Macaque. So of course were still hungry.

"I'm not sure what's fully going on. But it's clear this isn't my world." Miwa glanced over at the gang. "No one knows who I am, and worst of all. Tang and Pigsy are dead."

Miwa looked down at her bowl of noodles. "Is this what my wish did? Those Wishing Stars granted my wish, by erasing me from my world and sending me here instead."

A sad expression grew on Miwa's face, tears slowly forming in her eyes. "I'm not good for anyone, nor any world. I should have just died, it would have made everything better."

"Hey, what's wrong? Are the noodles not to your liking? I tried making them like Pigsy did, but I guess I'm far from as good as him." said MK, coming over when he noticed her seeming upset.

Miwa quickly wiped her tears away, and gave a small smile. "No, no, the noodles taste great."

"If it isn't the noodles, then why are you sad?" MK asked with concern.

Miwa glanced back at her bowl of noodles. "Just..."

.

.

.

.

The silence between them was quickly becoming awkward for MK, scratching the back of his head. "Sooo, what's your name? I'm MK, the Monkie Kid."

Miwa gave a light chuckle and looked back up at him with a smile. "I'm Miwa. Nice to meet you."

A small blush slowly grew on MK's face when she was smiling at him.

"I-I think I'll go and check on my f-friends outside. I'll introduce you later." MK stuttered as he quickly left.

Miwa shook her head with a soft smile. "Even the same MK, in this world."

Finishing her noodles and tea, Miwa decided to find somewhere to get some rest. Looking around she found a room and took a look inside. "Guessing this is Dad's room by his scent."

Curious, Miwa couldn't help but snoop around the room and see what he had. "Even with his storage room, he's still being a mess."

"Sounds like you know him very well." Macaque suddenly appeared from the shadows and closed the door to the room. "So who are you really?"

Miwa jumped and quickly turned around to see who it was, her tails having gone all puffy. "... Papa..."

Macaque crossed his arms while leaning against the door so she couldn't leave the room. "Are you a spy for her?"

Miwa pushed down her emotions, knowing this wasn't her real parent she couldn't go to him for comfort. "I guess you can say I know him. But then again, who doesn't know about the Monkey King?" She shrugged while trying to play it off casually like Macaque would usually do. "But I can reassure you, I'm not a spy for Boney."

Macaque raised an eyebrow. "Interesting, but I'm pretty sure I heard you say the word "Dad" when talking about Wukong." He suddenly appeared behind Miwa, causing her to take a few steps back. "Which is weird, since I know he has never had a kid in his whole life."

Miwa looked between the Macaque by the door and the one in front of her. "Did I really say that? I must have misspoke because of how tired I am."

Macaque narrowed his eyes and then grabbed her by the collar and shoved her against a wall. "Don't try and play this off. You called him Dad, and you clearly seem to know something."

Miwa grabbed his arm and tried breaking free from his hold, but she didn't have the energy for another fight. "I don't know anything, and I didn't call him that."

"I don't want a fight with another of my parents." Miwa gritted her teeth and transformed into a mouse.

"Oh no, you are not." Macaque transformed into a cat and began chasing her.

"You can't be serious! This is like when my parents starting fighting each other." Miwa ran around inside the hut, with Macaque right behind her. Causing a ruckus for the others inside.

"If you wanna fight do it outside!" shouted Ne Zha throwing both of them out of the hut and slammed the door on them.

Miwa and Macaque looked at the door then at each other.

The chase returning once more with Miwa trying to dodge Macaque from catching her.

"Uh, is that Macaque as a cat chasing a mouse?" Mei asked when seeing the two running around.

"He might finally have lost it." said Redson.

Miwa kept sprinting for her life until she saw MK and didn't waste a second when she jumped up and quickly climbed up his leg and in under his shirt to hide.

"Woah! Hahaha!" MK were taking by this surprise and started laughing when Miwa crawled under his shirt. "What's going on here?"

Macaque growled as he changed back to normal. "Don't go and use the kid as a shield."

"Cool it Mac, what's having you all mad?" Mei asked walking over with Redson.

"Doesn't look to be lack of sleep for once." said Redson crossing his arms.

"We can't trust her MK, she is hiding something. Keeping her around will be nothing but trouble. I told you that we shouldn't have bothered saving her." Macaque told him and the other two.

Though it wasn't her parent, Miwa still felt hurt by hearing those words coming from Macaque and it was towards her.

"Don't say that Macaque. I'm sure she has her reasons, and right now we need any help we can get to stopping Lady Bone Demon." said MK, while pulling Miwa out from under his shirt.

Though when he did, everyone saw the tears running down Miwa's face.

"Oh look, you made her cry. Macaque why did you have to be so mean?" said Mei, taking Miwa out of MK's hands and began petting her head.

Miwa looked over at Macaque, a broken and painful look on her face when she jumped out of Mei's hands and straight into a shadow portal.

"Well, looks like you scared her off." said Redson rolling his eyes. "But I do have to agree with Noodle Boy, as much as I hate to say it. We are in need of allies, we are lucky Lady Bone Demon didn't get the Samadhi Fire from Dragon Girl here. But we are running on limited time."

"Don't worry guys, I'll find her. I'm sure she is still somewhere on the mountain." said MK, sprinting out of the cave in seach for Miwa.

Macaque clicked his tongue in annoyance. "This is a waste of time." He disappeared into the shadows.

"Well Dragon Girl, let's get back to training." said Redson turning around and walking away.

"Great idea Redson! Let's go and find her!" said Mei grabbed Redson and started dragging him along.

"I said no such thing!" shouted Redson as he got dragged with her.

*In the deep jungle.*

Miwa had gone into hiding in the jungle, wanting to be alone and not be in the way of everyone.

"I hate this! I should just have let Lady Bone Demon kill me back there." Miwa had changed back to normal and was now knocking a few random rocks on the ground.

Tears still running down her face as she went and sat down by a random tree. Wrapping her arms around herself. "But what's the point, I can't even die because of Dad. I'm just stuck like this, forever to suffer."

"Even so... I still want my parents." Miwa sniffled, hiding her face behind her knees.

.

.

.

.

.

Hours went by while Miwa stayed where she was, and had at some point fallen asleep. Given into the exhaustion.

A faint red light glowed as someone walked over to Miwa's sleeping body and gently patted her head.

"I'm so sorry for putting you through so much little wish. If I had done better, you wouldn't have ended up like this and so far away from everyone dear to you." spoke Hongse with a small sigh.

The sound of movement not far away caught Hongse's attention, she quickly disappeared out of sight before anyone noticed her.

"This is where you decided to hid?" Macaque sighs and walked over.

Macaque looked at her with a skeptical glance, he summoned his staff as he contemplated what to do with her.

Thinking back to the look she had on her face when she looked at him with tears running down her face. Had Macaque feel slightly guilty.

The sudden movement of Miwa waking up caught his attention.

Miwa slowly opened her eyes, red from crying so much. She looked up at the person in front of her, still a little sleepy. "Papa..."

Macaque raised a puzzled eyebrow at what she called him, only for her to fall back asleep.

He clicked his tongue, putting away his staff and picked Miwa up in his arms. "Why am I even doing this? The kid better stop worrying when I return."

Miwa grabbed at his shirt, snuggling closer for the warmth.

"..." Macaque stared at her, his eyes soften a bit. "Don't make me reget this choice, Freckles."

A small smile grew on Miwa's sleepy face as Macaque shadow portaled them back to the cave.

*The next day.*

Miwa was sleeping peacefully... well until the sound of voices was getting louder. Slowly getting on her nerves.

"I'm telling you, I order spicy noodles! Not sweet noodles you peasant!" shouted Redson out loud.

"And I'm telling you! We don't have any more spices! The closest we have to that is spicy tea!" shouted MK back at him.

"Why not add sour then? Surely that it somewhat close to spicy." Mei suggested.

Redson made a disgusted sound at that suggestion. "Sour? You want me to lose my taste buds here?"

The sound of Macaque chuckling could be heard. "Then why not salt? I've heard it's very tasty."

"Are you crazy?! How did we go from spicy to salt?" Redson exclaimed in annoyance.

"Would you guys be quiet! I'm trying to treat my injuries here and you guys shouting isn't helping here!" shouted Ne Zha at the gang, in annoyance.

"Would everybody just shut the fuck up here! I'm trying to sleep!" shouted Miwa frustrated as she got surrounded by cosmic energy.

"Oh, look Redson she acting like you when you're angry. I'll call that Redson 2.0." Mei pointed out as she took a picture with her phone.

"Morning Miwa! How are you feeling? I've made you some noodles for you." said MK with a bright smile and took a seat on the couch beside her while handing her a bowl of noodles.

Miwa looked at the bowl of noodles in her hand and took a sniff at the scent. "A little annoyed by being woken up by shouting."

Her eyes narrowed when looking at the noodles. "MK, did you by any chance add peaches into this?"

"Yeah how did you guess that?" MK asked with a smile on his face.

Miwa rubbed between her eyes, feeling her annoyance growing and it was still early in the morning. "I can't eat this."

"Huh? Why not? Did I forget to add something?" MK asked.

"I'm allergic to peaches, so I can't eat these noodles." Miwa explain with a heavy sigh.

"I didn't know monkeys could be allergic to stuff." said Mei joining in. "Hey, we met yesterday I'm Mei and our angry friend here is Redson."

"I can introduce myself, thank you very much." Redson scoffed. "I'm Redson, and the son of the powerful Demon Bull Family. Just so you know, and don't you dare forget that peasant."

Miwa looked at the others and gave a small nod. "I'm Miwa."

"I'll go and make you a new bowl of noodles. Macaque do you want these noodles?" said MK, offering the bowl of peach noodles to him.

"Sure, don't see a reason to waste food." Macaque grabbed the noodles and started eating. "Don't forget we have training later."

"Yeah, yeah." MK said dismissively while going to the kitchen.

"So Miwa, why don't you tell us a bit about yourself? Like where did you come from?" Mei asked, having taken MK's spot on the couch.

Miwa glances at her and the others, thinking over what to tell them. She wanted to be honest, but they probably wouldn't believe her. Not to mention this version of her friends didn't know her.

Miwa took a sneaky look over at Macaque then down on the ground. "I... I came from somewhere far away from here."

"Cool, and where is that? Did you come from the Celestial Realm?" Mei asked.

Miwa just shook her head at the mention of the Celestial Realm.

"That's a given, I mean just look at her." said Macaque rolling his eyes. "She is a monkey like me and Wukong, the Celestial Realm would never accept her into their ranks."

"Tisk, ever the honest monkey when you feel like it." Miwa mumbled to herself.

Macaque narrowed his eyes at her. "I heard that Freckles, and seems like you know me."

Miwa held in a low growl. "Don't call me that."

"What, Freckles? Why? Oh did I by a chance hit a nerve this time?" Macaque mocked and appeared behind the couch and leaned slightly over to make eye contact with her.

"Mac leave her alone." said Mei pushing him away.

"Let's not start a fight this early in the morning please." said Sandy bringing over a cup of tea for Miwa.

Miwa took a deep breath and picked up the tea. "Thank you, Sandy." She took a sip as she tried to calm down.

"How did you know what his name was?" Macaque then asked, catching on to her slipup.

Miwa spit out the tea she was drinking and started coughing. "Shit."

Macaque summoned his staff and swung it down at her.

Miwa reacted by instinct from her training with Macaque from her world, and summoned her spear the same way and blocked his staff while dodging out of the way.

"Wow, let's just calm down you two. I'm sure Miwa here can explain everything to us." said MK, rushing over to them.

"Sorry, bud. She is hiding something and I don't think talking is gonna get us anywhere." said Macaque and charged right at her.

Miwa used a shadow portal to get out of the hut, and Macaque followed right after her with a strike from his staff.

Fully awake and focused on the fight, Miwa summoned a few shadow clones and had them attack him.

"Nice try Freckles, but when it comes to shadows. I'm the expert here." Macaque summoned his own shadow clones and had them take on against hers.

"Would you just shut up and stop being this aggressive!" shouted Miwa dodging his attacks.

The gang rushed outside of the hut as they observed the two monkeys fighting each other.

"What are we gonna do here? I wanna jump in but how do you stop two shadow monkeys?" MK questioned with panic.

"Which is strange." said Redson narrowing his eyes.

"What about it is strange?" Sandy asked.

"Don't the two seem pretty similar?" Redson questioned.

"I'm nothing like her/him!" The two shouted in unison towards Redson as they kept fighting.

"You know, Red Boy might be on to something." said Mei.

"I told you to stop calling me that!" shouted Redson at her.

Miwa started to struggle as she was getting pushed back by Macaque's attacks.

"Not bad Freckles, but you looks to be lacking a little foot work." said Macaque as he got close enough to use his tail to trip her over.

However Miwa acted by changing her spear into a whip and had it wrap around a rock, pulling herself along to the side, dodging out of the way.

"Go Miwa!" MK and Mei shouted as they had started cheering.

Miwa wince as she started feeling some of her injuries from yesterday affection her.

Seeing her slowing down Macaque took the chance and charged at her with his staff.

Miwa's eyes widened when he appeared in front of her, old memories of her time with Macaque from her world, flashed through her mind. Tears forming in her eyes.

Macaque struck his staff down at her at full force, but to everyone's surprise Miwa countered the attack with her spear.

The two stared at each other until a smirk appeared on Macaque's face.

"Looks like you have something in you, Freckles." Macaque put away his staff and went on to ruffle her hair.

Miwa just stood there all confused at the sudden change before she began batting his hand away from her hair.

Macaque chuckled at the annoyed look she was giving him. "I don't know why, but you seem a bit like Wukong. So easy to mess with."

"You son of a bitch! I should have known you'd be scheming something. You always are!" shouted Miwa frustrated at him.

"And you fell for it so easily." said Macaque with a smug look.

The gang observed the two, finding their interaction a little strange.

"I know Macaque and I have a weird teacher and student relation. But those two seem a little more..." MK said watching Miwa throwing her arms around in the air in annoyance, like a kid being teased by their parent.

"They only met yesterday and just fought each other. But now, it looks like a parent and child arguing." said Sandy when observing them.

"This is very weird, mostly from watching Macaque of all people." said Mei who secretly took a picture of them with her phone.

The gang nodded in agreement, and couldn't help but find it strange.

Miwa growled as cosmic energy was surrounding in, only to disappear when Macaque patted her head.

"If we ever get to stop Lady Bone Demon, I might take you in as my new student." Macaque told her, before walking towards the gang. "Alright, bud. Let's get started with your training now."

Miwa watched as Macaque left to train MK, still getting that familiar feeling of having one of her parents around.

The sound of her stomach snapped her out of it, Miwa headed back inside and saw the half-made noodles MK had made before she got into a fight with Macaque.

Miwa shook her head and decided to make her own noodles herself.

"At least Macaque isn't being after my tail anymore." Miwa sighs while making her food. "But I still wanna find a way back home, if that is even possible."

Miwa ended up making two bowls of noodles and handed one of them to Redson.

"What's this?" Redson asked with a raised eyebrow, growing skeptical.

"You wanted spicy noodles, so I made you one." Miwa told him.

"I'll be the judge of that, and see if this peasant food is what you say it is." Redson took the bowl and began tasting it.

"At least he isn't calling me Ruby." Miwa thought while placing a hand on her hip. "So, what you think?"

"It's... not bad I guess. At least better than what Noodle Boy has been making." said Redson, eating the rest of his noodles.

"Where did you even get the spices?" Mei asked, joining in almost giving the two a jump scare.

"Watch it Dragon Girl!" shouted Redson infuriated having almost dropped his bowl of noodles.

"I stole them." Miwa shrugged and began eating her noodles.

"What?!" shouted Mei in disbelief, and just ignored Redson's annoyance. "Who you steal it from?"

A smirk grew on Miwa's face. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

"Oooh, I'm already liking you. We are so gonna be good friends." said Mei with a big smile.

Miwa smiled only to get temporarily blinded when Mei took a selfie with her.

"Aww look at us, I can already feel we're gonna get on well." said Mei when showing the picture she took.

"Right." said Miwa with a smile then went to sit down and began eating her noodles.

While eating her noodles, Miwa glanced at the others in the room. "Something must have happened in this world, for Mei not to have been captured by Lady Bone Demon. Yet, they all lost Tang and Pigsy, and Sandy lost an arm."

Miwa caught on to the sound of MK and Macaque training, her ears moving to the sounds. "Never imagine those two training together again. Guess that's another thing different here."

After eating and cleaning up some of the dirty dishes that she noticed lying around. Miwa decided to go outside for a bit. Stopping by a cliff as she looked towards Megapolis.

"If the city wasn't taken over at the moment. This view is actually pretty nice from here." said MK, having finished training and took notice of Miwa standing by the cliff.

Miwa gave a light giggle at his comment. "I'm sure it is."

"So, why were you in the city yesterday?" MK asked.

"How did you know I was in the city?" Miwa returned with her own question.

"Macaque and I were scouting for food or anything we could use. When we heard the sound of fighting and saw you taking on Monkey King." MK explained as he decided to sit down. "What about you?"

"... Honestly, I don't really know how I ended up there." said Miwa taking a seat beside him. Though he wasn't the same MK that she knew, she still felt like she could trust him and share whatever was on her mind. "I just woke up, and suddenly I was there."

MK gave a puzzled expression, a little confused. "Did you by chance lose your memories?"

"Not this time. But I kind of wish that I did." said Miwa with a sad face.

"Why? Did something happen?" MK asked.

Miwa looked down at the jungle far down the mountain. "It would lessen what I learned about myself."

"Uuuh, I don't think I get it." said MK, a little confused.

Miwa simply giggled at his confusion. "Yeah, it's probably not easy to understand."

A silence awkwardness befell them as they just sat there without another word for a while.

"Aren't you gonna ask?" Miwa questioned.

"Ask what?" MK asked confused.

"How I seem to already know some of you, when we haven't even met before?" Miwa asked, looking back up at him. "Surely you all are finding it strange, Macaque caught on to it right away."

"Yeah that is a little weird." MK gave an awkward smile rubbing the back of his neck. "But I wouldn't force it out of you."

Miwa couldn't help but blush, as he was much like her MK.

"You can tell us when you feel comfortable about it." said MK with a bright grin.

Tears started forming in her eyes, and before she even knew it. She pulled MK into a tight hug.

MK was caught by surprise when she hugged him, but he returned it anyway.

"MK! Miwa! We are having a meeting!" shouted Mei from the hut.

The two quickly broke the hug, both blushing a little.

"Coming!" shouted MK, getting up and held out a hand for Miwa.

Miwa smiled and took his hand, getting up from where she sat and followed him back to the hut where the others were having a meeting.

*Two days later.*

"I don't get it. We have the strength and Mei to beat Lady Bone Demon and save Wukong. So why are we moving the hiding spot?" Miwa asked confused when being told that they were moving.

"We already tried a head-on attack. But the results... ended badly." MK explained avoiding eye contact.

"But now that I'm here, you have a better chance this time." said Miwa sitting by a cliff with MK while watching the view.

"Miwa... I'm happy you wanna help. But we don't have a plan and the rest of us are training to become stronger... and Sandy only has one arm." said MK with a heavy sigh. "We'll need an army or someone powerful to help us, more so against Monkey King."

Miwa looked up at the sky, noticing the wishing stars. "Or a wish."

"It's a big wish, but it's the best we can do. Wishing for a way to defeat Lady Bone Demon and save Monkey King." said MK, looking up at the sky too but didn't see the stars.

"Then why don't you try making that wish to the Wishing Stars?" Miwa asked.

"The what now?" MK looked at her confused.

"The Wishing Stars, if you make a deep and personal wish to them. They'll grant it." Miwa told him with a smile.

"How can you be sure that'll work?" MK asked.

Miwa stopped for a moment, hesitating if she should reveal that she was a wish. But there was no way she could prove it. "Just trust me."

"Okay, guess it can't really hurt." MK put his hands together and started wishing, though the sound of Miwa laughing made him confused. "What's so funny?"

"That's isn't how to make a wish to the Wishing Stars, you need to speak the wishing words for your voice to reach them." Miwa told him.

"How do you know that?" MK asked.

"Because I made a wish to them... and they granted it." said Miwa with a sad smile.

A concerned look grew on MK's face. "So, what are those words?"

Miwa leaned over and whispered the words to him. MK tried keeping a focused face, but a small blush still grew on his face.

"You got all that?" Miwa asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Y-Yes I got it." said MK, clearing his throat and looked up at the sky and spoke the wishing words. "Oh, stars as old as time, in the ancient sky of night. Grant me this wish as I, oh so, desire. Let my wish reach you, oh so far away and yet so close. Oh Wishing Stars, grant my desired wish."

Miwa observed the sky, watching the wishing stars but when they didn't give a sign to MK's wish she grew annoyed.

"Did it work? Was my wish granted?" MK asked with excitement.

Miwa looked at MK, seeing the old bright smile on his face with hopes of his wish having been granted. She knew she had to tell him the truth, but that would ruin any hopes they have on stopping Lady Bone Demon.

But if she lied, she feared what the outcome might be and worst of all. They could lose more of their friends and MK might blame himself for it all.

"Yes, they heard your wish." said Miwa with a small smile.

MK jumped up with a cheer and began running back to the others to tell them the great news. "Guys!—"

However Miwa quickly grabbed him with her tails. "Just because they heard your wish, doesn't mean they will grant it right away. It takes a little while."

"Oh, I see." said MK as he calm down. "Then I guess we are just gonna have to wait and prepare ourselves."

Miwa nodded and let go of MK, watching him leave before she let out a heavy sigh. "Fuck me, I just did the same as Dad. Why do I have to be like my parents?"

She lay down on her back and looked up a the sky. "If Lady Bone Demon somehow is stronger in this world, then how are we gonna beat her and save Dad?"

While lying on the ground in deep thoughts on what she was gonna do, someone's shadow suddenly appeared over her face.

"What do you want Mac?" Miwa asked already sounding annoyed.

"What, can't I come and check up on my new student?" Macaque asked with a smirk.

Miwa rolled her eyes and sat back up with a sigh. "... I didn't think you were one for taking in more students."

"I could say the same about you appearing out of nowhere and having some of the same powers as me, for some strange reason." said Macaque taking a seat beside her.

"Wait same powers..." Miwa's eyes widened as she realized something she had forgotten all about, but only remember faintly using when still a baby. She quickly turned to look at him. "Macaque, teach me how to make my own smoke monster monkey form!"

Macaque leaned slightly away with a confused look. "What?"

Miwa got up on her feet with a determined look on her face. "You know, that huge smoke monster form. Teach me how to do that too, I know I can."

"Slow down Freckles, I get that you are pretty skilled already. But that kind of power takes years of training, let alone control." Macaque told her getting up. "You aren't ready for that yet."

"You don't know that, and who knows. If I learn how to summon my own monster monkey form, it might just give us the edge to beat Lady Bone Demon and Da–Wukong." Miwa persisted.

"Take it from someone who took years mastering this power. You aren't ready." Macaque told her in a harsh tone.

Miwa growled as cosmic energy started surrounding her. "Why do you have to be so stubborn! I've faced a lot already in my life, learning this should be nothing!"

Macaque clicked his tongue from his growing annoyance. "I could say the same here. You're just as stubborn and head strong as Wukong."

Miwa stomped her foot into the ground, slightly cracking it before then taking off into the air, leaving Macaque by the cliff.

"How does she even know I'm able to summon my smoke monster? So far I haven't used it since she got here." Macaque wondering, finding that a little strange. "It's only been two days, and somehow she seems to know more about us than we do about her. Something isn't adding up."

*Somewhere in the sky.*

"Why does he have to be so stubborn? I'm trying to help here, yet he wouldn't teach me that one thing." Miwa mumbled while gliding through the air.

"Macaque isn't wrong about you not being ready. That form is very strong and hard to control." Someone suddenly spoke next to her.

"Ah!" Miwa caught of guard fell over, but still stayed in the air. "Who the fuck are you? And why do you look like me?!"

"The name's Hongse Xing, but you can call me Red Star or Red." Hongse introduced herself with a soft smile. "And I'm the Wishing Star who granted Macaque's wish of creating you."

Miwa looked at Hongse, blinking a few times until she got up. "You... It's all your fault!"

Cosmic energy began surrounding Miwa as she got back up, rage quickly building up. "If you hadn't granted Macaque's wish in the first place, I wouldn't be in this mess! I won't have to suffer from knowing I never should have existed!"

"I know, and I also know that any apologizes from me wouldn't fix anything I've put you through." said Hongse with an apologetic look on her face. "Because of my selfish act, I ruined everything for everyone."

Miwa went for a sneak attack, Hongse countered it by creating a star shield. But Miwa followed it up with a kick and going behind her. "Then why am I here?! I wished to be gone, and yet I end up somewhere else!"

Hongse kept her shield up, blocking any of Miwa's attacks. She gave a small sigh. "Your wish got granted, as we aren't connected anymore." A sad expression on her face. "As for why you are here. Your friends and family all wished for your return."

"W-what?" Miwa stopped in mid punch towards the shield.

"Right as your wish got granted, you unconsciously used the same power that brought you to the future." Hongse let her shield disappear when Miwa had stopped trying to attack her. "So when you were wished back to life, you ended up in a different world."

Miwa surprised to hear this, but grew hesitant. "Why should I believe what you are saying? For all I know you could be lying to me."

"A Wishing Star never lies, and we always care about every wish... And I was the one who told your friends that it was possible to get you back. With how long we've been connected, I've only ever wanted to protect and look after you." Hongse explained.

"Then why are you here?" Miwa asked, not fully believing her but she couldn't talk to anyone else about her situation.

"To help you get back home, and to teach you how to control your powers." Hongse explained in a calm manner.

"I'm sorry, my powers? I don't need another teacher, my... Wukong and Macaque are more than enough." Miwa told her, but were unsure what to really call them.

Hongse slowly began walking around her, keeping a calm expression. "When I granted Macaque's wish, I was going rogue. In doing so you ended up with some of my powers. While you can keep being trained by Sun Wukong and Macaque, they wouldn't know how to teach you how to use the powers we Wishing Stars have."

Miwa narrowed her eyes at Hongse, cosmic energy slowly surrounding her. "What makes you think—"

"Right there." Hongse pointed right at her. "Your powers are leaking out, if you don't get proper teaching and control of your emotions. That power will put others in danger and even yourself."

Miwa looked down at her hands as she watched the cosmic energy slowly fading away.

"It already has a few times, and one of them I had to step in. If I didn't you'll have killed your friends." Hongse told her in a firm tone.

Miwa thought back to when her friends were looking at her with fear after Lady Bone Demon attacked them and took away hers and MK's powers. She slowly looked up at Hongse with concern. "So I really was a danger to my friends... I should have just let Lady Bone Demon killed me, if it was even possible."

Hongse flicked Miwa's forehead when seeing her mind spiraling down. "Don't start thinking about that. This is why I and the other Wishing Stars are here to help you."

"Ah!" Miwa rubbed her forehead when she got flicked. "Wait, the others?"

"Yeah, did you think I'll be the only one teaching you here?" Hongse gave a light chuckle. "Each of us has our own specialty, having lived many different lives with wishes like you. Not to mention our own home world."

"Uuh what? Home world?" Miwa asked confused.

Hongse summoned a few red stars and had them lead a trail to a location far towards the desert.

"I'll explain on the way." said Hongse and took off, following the stars.

Miwa still very confused, followed right behind her. Her head still filled with lots of questions.
