*Macaque is choking Mei, MK is weakened, Sandy and Pigsy are encased in Bone Demon powers, Miwa is lying on the ground screaming in pain from the shocks running through her body, and Tang is horrified.*
"Do it. Finish the ritual!" shouted Macaque at him.
Tang breaks down until he sees a golden cicada land on the map. He watches it fly above, before disappearing. "Alright, you win."
*Tang uses his powers and completes the ritual. A brilliant light blasts up the mountain. Wukong and Ne Zha are still stuck against their mountain.*
"No! They were supposed to wait!" said Wukong in frustration.
"Are you absolutely sure the Samadhi Fire is the only way to stop the Lady Bone Demon?" Ne Zha asked him.
"Only if we move right now!" Wukong told him while struggling to get free.
"You better be right." Ne Zha's spear transforms into lotus petals. "Let's hope my aim is as good as it used to be."
"What?" said Wukong confused.
*The lotus petals turn into sharp points, shattering the bone imprisoning them. Wukong races towards the ritual site.*
Mei looks at the rings and remembers the vision she kept seeing. "No! Please, I-I wanna get off this ride!"
"Yes!" said Macaque as the ritual was almost complete.
"Stop!" shouted Wukong as the ritual is completed. Mei is completely engulfed in flames. "No!"
Macaque's Bone Demon powers are shattered from his body. "It worked!"
"I'm too late. Kid! Freckles!" said Wukong as he glanced over at the two.
Miwa's breathing had started to calm down as she saw that Wukong had arrived before then looking up in surprise and concern for Mei.
"What? Mei?! What's happening?! Don't worry, I'm coming for ya! Someone get some water. Stop, drop, and roll, Mei!" MK attempts to reach Mei when Wukong pushes him to the side.
"Mere water cannot extinguish the Samadhi Fire. Nothing can. The fire will destroy this girl and burn everything in its path." Ne Zha frees Sandy and Pigsy.
"What?!" shouted Mei and Miwa in horror.
"Yeah, what?!" MK shouted.
In frustration Wukong turned his attention to Macaque. "You! You ruined everything!" Macaque tries to escape through a shadow portal. Wukong grabs him at the last second.
"I didn't do this!" said Macaque as he glanced over at Mei.
"Well, you weren't not involved!" Wukong pulls back his fist to punch him.
"Shut the fuck up!" shouted Miwa as she in her own frustration ran over and punched both of them in the face. "This is both of you guys' fault!"
Wukong and Macaque were taken a bit by surprise when she punched them.
"How is this my fault, when he clearly caused this in the first place!" said Wukong glaring at Macaque.
"Macaque might have started it, but you didn't share fucking shit! About any of this!" shouted Miwa as her body got surrounded by cosmic energy.
"Stop! It was me! I mean, yeah Macaque forced me to do it, and I'm definitely starting to have second thoughts on the whole thing now but... I don't know how and I don't know why, I just felt like I had to... like it was... destiny." Tang jumped in to explain what happened.
"Destiny cannot be undone, Sun Wukong..." The voice of past LBD echoed in Wukong's head.
Wukong lets go of Macaque and turned his attention back to the situation at hand.
Miwa took a last glance at Macaque, a painful look on her face before looking over at Mei.
"I hate to interrupt but can someone explain what is going on?! What's happening to Mei?" MK cut in to ask.
"Okay, this is going to sound really bad, but hear me out." said Wukong trying to get everything under control.
"Wukong, what have you done?" Ne Zha asked in annoyance.
"I made a mistake. During the ritual, a piece of the Samadhi Fire got away from me. I don't know what happened, but I guess, part of it was sealed away in the closest vessel that could contain it. My loyal companion, the White Horse Dragon, Ao Lie." Wukong explained.
"Mei's great, great, great, times a thousand great-grandfather!" said Sandy surprised.
"Making Mei the fourth ring!" MK quickly realized.
"You knew! All along you knew I had this thing inside of me!" shouted Mei enraged at Wukong after finding this out.
"Mei! Hang on a second." said MK, trying to calm her down, but she wasn't listening.
"And you hid it from all of us! Why?! What were you afraid of?! That you were going to have to tear me apart to get your precious Samadhi Fire?!" Mei yelled at Wukong as her temper only grew along with the Samadhi Fire.
Wukong stood in front of MK and Miwa, protecting them from the Samadhi Fire's growing power coming from Mei, while Ne Zha covered for Tang and Pigsy.
"This wasn't supposed to happen! I thought if I could get the Samadhi fire out of you, without hurting you of course. Then I could put it inside myself. Then I don't know, use it to burn up the Lady Bone Demon or something? I was kinda making this up as I went—" Wukong tried to explain.
"That was your plan?!" shouted Ne Zha annoyed.
"That's not a good plan!" shouted MK.
"That isn't a fucking plan!" shouted Miwa..
"Yeah, to be honest this is the first time I've said it out loud, so..." said Wukong only now realizing how bad that plan sounded.
"We trusted you! All of us! Most of all Miwa! How could you lead us into this fight without a real plan?! Time and time again, I've watched you put MK and Miwa in danger, leaving them to figure everything out on their own! Don't you realize you're hurting the people who care about you the most?!" cried Mei as she was losing control.
"She's completely out of control! If there's a time to go, it's now!" said Macaque as he grabbed Miwa's arm.
"No! Mei is my best friend. I'd never abandon her when she needs me! We're heroes, it's what we do!" said MK, looking over at Macaque.
Miwa growled as she pulled her arm free of Macaque's grip. "I'm not going anywhere. Not when Mei needs our help the most right now."
Mei continues to unleash her rage.
Macaque starts leaving through a shadow portal. But he hesitates as he glances at Miwa.
Miwa could feel his gaze at her but she didn't look back. "Unlike you, I'm not abandoning those dear to me."
Macaque didn't speak a word, but the guilt he felt inside was dreadful as he left through his portal.
"Macaque is right. We must leave. There's no saving the girl!" said Ne Zha.
MK however runs towards Mei along with Miwa.
"No! Kid! Miwa!" shouted Wukong.
"Mei! You have to stop! I know you're upset, and that's okay! I know what it's like to have a power you don't know how to control. To feel like the fate of the world is in your hands and you have no idea what to do! But you always have my and Miwa's back and helped us through it. We... will figure this out... together!" said MK while ignoring the pain from the fire.
"MK is right. As long as we stick together we can work this out!" said Miwa, trying to reassure Mei but also herself in some way.
MK and Miwa hugs Mei and the fire is extinguished.
"Go Mei!" shouted Sandy.
"You did it!" Tang cheered.
"She controlled the fire? This is impossible." said Ne Zha in disbelief.
Mei cries before pushing MK and Miwa away.
"I can't! I don't wanna hurt you. Any of you. I'm sorry." said Mei as she stepped away.
"Mei, wait!" shouted MK as Mei blasts away in a ball of flame, along with the rings. "Mei!" Sandy catches MK, and the others gather around to comfort him. "We have to go after Mei!"
"Kid! You're in no state to be going anywhere!" Pigsy told him.
"But the Samadhi Fire—" MK started to argue.
"Should've burned the Dragon Girl to ash by now. And yet it hasn't, which is curious." said Ne Zha.
"What do you mean? You know, for people not paying attention." Sandy asked.
"It means... that perhaps there was method to Sun Wukong's madness after all. If she can learn to control the fire, then perhaps its power truly could be used to defeat the Lady Bone Demon." Ne Zha explained.
"So all we gotta do is get Mei some fire training? That's easy! All the more reason to go after her!" said MK, a bit more cheerful.
Miwa gave a small nod in agreement, but after all of this, she wasn't sure how much energy she had in her to help.
"There's no time for that. Now that the Samadhi Fire is forged, the Lady Bone Demon will stop at nothing to obtain it! If we show up unprepared, we might as well hand Mei over to her right now! No, I'm gonna do what I should've done originally. Stop the Lady Bone Demon... alone." Wukong told them.
"What?! But you said the Samadhi Fire was the only way that could stop her." said MK.
"I know what I said, but I've beaten her before I'll... I'll do it again! Mei was right, I need to stop dragging you into my fights. All of you." Wukong looked at the gang and then over at Miwa "I'm sorry, bud, Miwa, I need you both to sit this one out." Wukong gets on his cloud and flies away.
"If one more of my friends flies off today, I'm gonna lose it! The only way we win is together, that's Monkie Kid 101!" said MK in frustration as tears were forming in his eyes.
"Hey, where did Miwa go?" Sandy asked.
"Are you serious?! What did I just say!" MK exclaimed.
Miwa had decided to follow Wukong, as much as she hated both of her parents right now. She still did care about them.
