As the shadowy figures stood there, trembling with fear, a group of police officers arrived at the scene. They had been patrolling the area when they heard the commotion. The police immediately drew their guns and rushed towards the figures.

"Police!" one of the officers yelled. "Hands up!"

The police quickly took control of the situation, taking the remaining figure into custody. They began to search the area, searching for any more evidence or anyone else who might have been involved.

Zhethea watched from the window, still reeling from what she had witnessed. The police discovered a dead body in the ally, which was likely the victim of the shadowy figures' attack. They immediately secured the scene and called in forensics to begin collecting evidence.

The sun rose, the first few rays of dawn breaking through the darkness. The streets were still quiet, the only sound coming from a few roosters that had already woken up. The news of the attack and the discovery of the body spread quickly through the neighborhood. People were shocked and scared, wondering what had happened and if they were safe. The police were trying to keep things under control, telling people to stay calm and avoid going out late at night. But the fear and tension were palpable, and everyone stayed alert.

Shizen and Zhethea arrived at school simultaneously, but she was lost in thought. She didn't notice when Shizen waved at her, too preoccupied with the events of the previous night.

Shizen, noticing her distracted demeanor, quietly walked up to her.

"Hey," he said softly, trying to get her attention. Zhethea was so lost in her thoughts that she jumped at the sound of Shizen's voice. She spun around, startled, and found him standing right next to her.

"Oh! Shizen," she said, clutching her chest. "You scared me." "Sorry," Shizen said, a look of concern on his face. "Are you okay? You seem...distracted." Zhethea was just about to respond to Shizen when she heard someone calling her name. She turned and saw Iriya walking towards them, waving her hand. Iriya's eyes flicked from Shizen to Zhethea, and she smiled.

"Hey, guys!" she said cheerfully. "What's up?" Iriya's cheerful expression made Zhethea's skin crawl. She scowled at her before reaching over and giving her a playful knock on the head.

"Stop smiling like that. It's annoying," she said, her voice laced with irritation. Iriya rubbed her head, still smiling. "Wow, what was that for?" she asked, feigning innocence.

Shizen chuckled. "Looks like someone's feeling grumpy this morning," he teased.

Zhethea rolled her eyes. "Shut up. I'm always like this."

Iriya laughed. "Is that so?" she said, eyeing them both. "You guys are acting like old pals now." Zhethea gave her a look. "What's that supposed to mean?" she said defensively.

Iriya shrugged, still smiling. "Nothing. Just never thought I'd see the day that the two of you would be so friendly." Zhethea rolled her eyes at Iriya's words. "Whatever," she said, walking ahead towards her class.

Shizen followed her, glancing back at Iriya with a small smile. "Later," he said to her.

Iriya nodded, watching them go. "Later," she echoed, still curious about their sudden closeness.

The students looked up in surprise as the police officers entered the classroom. One officer walked up to the front of the room, clearing his throat to get everyone's attention.

"Excuse me," he said, his voice loud and authoritative. "I'm Lieutenant Smith, here with the police department. We have an announcement to make." The students in the class listened attentively as the Lieutenant explained the purpose of the announcement. "Unfortunately, there's been a recent murder in the area," he said solemnly. "We're requesting help from students who may have information or any leads that they can offer."

The room was silent for a moment, until Shizen raised his hand. "What exactly do you need us to do?" he asked, his eyes locked on the Lieutenant. The Lieutenant looked at Shizen, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly. "Ah, someone eager to help," he said, impressed. "We're looking for volunteers who can act as undercover detectives for us. Essentially, you'll be assisting us with investigating the murder, gathering information, and reporting back to us with any leads or discoveries you may come across."

In Zhethea's classroom, the atmosphere was somber. The students were taking in the information the Lieutenant had given them, looking solemn. The Lieutenant continued with his explanation.

"This is a serious matter, and we need your help to bring justice to the victims and their families," he said, his voice firm but compassionate. "Anyone willing to volunteer can step forward. All we need is a few students from each grade to help us out." The Lieutenant looked at the students, noticing that one student had raised their hand. "You, sir," he said, nodding at Zhethea. "You're volunteering?" Zhethea nodded...

Zhethea thinking that she will solve this problem because she is sure that she is the next target of the reapers are. The Lieutenant smiled, impressed with her eagerness. "Good," he said, marking something down on his clipboard. "Now we just need one more volunteer from this grade."

The other students in the class exchanged glances, some looking hesitant and others looking curious. The Lieutenant scanned the room, waiting for someone else to step forward. The Lieutenant waited a moment longer, but no one else stepped forward. "Anyone?" he asked, giving the room one final scan.

Still, no one moved. The students sat in their seats, silent and still. The Lieutenant sighed, making a note on his clipboard.

Iriya was sitting in her class, waiting for the announcement to begin. She glanced around the room, taking in the faces of her classmates. Some were whispering to each other, while others were bouncing in their seats, anxious to find out what the announcement was about. Iriya herself was curious, but also a little bit excited. She had a feeling something interesting was about to happen. Finally, the door to the classroom opened and the Lieutenant walked in, accompanied by two police officers. The entire class fell silent as they waited for the announcement to begin. The Lieutenant cleared his throat, his voice echoing in the quiet room. "Excuse me everyone," he said loudly. "I'm Lieutenant Smith, with the police department. I have a special announcement to make." The students looked up at the Lieutenant, waiting for him to speak. Iriya leaned forward in her seat, trying to get a better look at him. "As you may have heard, there has been a recent murder in the area," the Lieutenant said, his voice solemn. "We are currently looking for volunteers who can assist us in investigating this crime." The students exchanged glances, and a few murmurs could be heard. Iriya raised her hand, unable to contain her curiosity any longer. "What kind of help are you looking for?" she blurted out. The Lieutenant looked over at Iriya, nodding. "Good question," he said, a small smile playing on his lips. "We're looking for students who can volunteer to act as undercover detectives. Your job would be to gather information and leads for us, and report back to us with anything you find." Irirya raise her hand for volunteering while she was thinking that this is her opportunity. The Lieutenant nodded at Iriya, marking her name down on his clipboard. "Good," he said. "Anyone else from this grade willing to volunteer?"

The room was silent. The other students were either too shy or too scared to step forward. Iriya glanced around the room, seeing that no one else was raising their hand.
