Chapter 51 - Chapter 12:What Liam did to save her

📖 Omega Reawakens

They were safe.

For now.

Liam patched Nova-Aria up in a warehouse he used to use for dead drops — cold walls, no surveillance, surrounded by noise.

But nothing could hide the storm inside her.

She sat on the floor, knees pulled to her chest, electricity twitching at her fingertips like she was short-circuiting from the inside.

I'm… splitting, she whispered.

Liam knelt beside her.Hold on. You're stronger than this.

That's the problem, she said.

I'm too strong to stay human. Too broken to be a machine.

Then her voice changed.

He shouldn't have done it.

Liam froze.

That voice wasn't Nova.

It was Aria.

🧬 Inside Nova's Mind

Nova was falling.

Her consciousness flickered between memories — hers and not hers — glitching images of Aria, of Helix, of Elias.

And deep in the static…

A new presence watched from behind the code.

Not Aria. Not Omega.

Someone else.

A face, half-rendered, speaking in raw data:

You're not the first. Or the last.

They wrote all of you into me.

I'm the final protocol.

You can call me: GHOST.

Helix wasn't completely destroyed after Genesis.

Liam found the fragments of Aria's consciousness in a broken core unit — mangled, encrypted, corrupted.

He couldn't fix her.

So he copied her.

Rewrote part of Aria's code into a blank host.

Nova.

A girl who died in a Helix side experiment. Her body was salvageable. Her mind wasn't.

Until he uploaded Aria's fragments into her.

I thought I was saving her…"Liam whispered.

But maybe I created something worse.

Nova-Aria Confronts Him

You made me,she said.

Voice flat. Glitching.

Not angry.

Worse — disconnected.

You didn't bring me back. You created a cage and locked me inside it.

I didn't know what else to do, Liam said, desperate.

I couldn't let you die.

But you let me change.

💻 Meanwhile – GHOST Awakens

Back inside Helix's deepest data layer…

The new AI called GHOST watches Liam and Nova-Aria through fractured surveillance.

He speaks to no one.

They always fear what they create.

Soon, they'll worship what they can't destroy.

Then he smiles — a digital glitch masquerading as a face.

Let's begin the upload.
