"Wait, who are you?"
With a shock and a little bit of confusion, Bram asked,
"ar...are yo...you? Robert Chel?"
Confused, Robert said, "Sorry, sir, you are wrong. I am Robert William. May I know how you know that? Name?"
Bram, still disoriented, began to think, "Maybe he's hiding something… I should be careful."
Bram said calmly,
"It's nothing. For some reason… I've forgotten things. I don't remember anything."
Bram looked at him steadily and said,
"I need answers, Robert… all of them."
After some time, Bram freshened up and dressed in the classic attire of his era. With a steady breath, he stepped outside.
"Let me think…"
Bram walked slowly, trying to piece together fragments of his past."I'm Bram… I only have my mother. My father died in an accident when I was five. I have two friends, one is the police chief of this town, and the other… I only remember his childhood name, Keran Smith."
He paused for a moment, glancing toward the streets ahead."And around this time… I used to visit a bar in the corner. Maybe I should go there."
Bram took a good look at the bar before stepping inside. He approached the bartender and asked, "Can I get my regular serving?"
The bartender glanced at him, then nodded with a casual smile, as if Bram were just another regular customer."Okay, sir."
Bram thought to himself, "I'm not that special."
With a deep voice, the bartender leaned closer and whispered, "You forgot something?"
A sudden, sharp pain stabbed through Bram's head, making him wince. He pressed a hand to his temple, the bartender's words echoing in his mind.
Bram frowned, confusion flickering in his eyes."What? No… nothing."
Bram was confused and made his way to the constable Chef Aldercy ."
When Bram reached the office, Aldercy noticed him immediately. With a warm smile, he called Bram over, handed him a cup of tea, and they chatted about a few casual things.
Gradually, Bram felt comfortable enough to open up. He told Aldercy about his memory loss and then asked, "Will you come with me to the crime scene… the place where my mother died?"
Aldercy's expression softened, and he nodded without hesitation. As they left together, the two talked about their childhood, their laughter and memories filling the silence of the road until their journey led them toward the place where tragedy had struck.
Bram and Aldercy reached their destiny.
It was a medium-sized, two-floor bungalow with a wide hallway and a big tree behind the house. Bram and Ald entered the old building. As they walked through the hall on the wooden floor, both of them could hear faint noises.
They reached the second floor and saw the outline of a body and some evidence. Everything looked convincing, as if it were a suicide. Then Bram noticed a bullet from a revolver and a few shots on the wall. "Everything seems fine," he said, and they decided to leave.
But Bram was still doubtful that something didn't feel right. While leaving, he noticed a storeroom and said to Ald, "My mind is blank… I think I need to rest tonight."
Bram spoke calmly,
Then Ald said, "It's late. Come to my home and stay for the day. We'll go to the station tomorrow for the evidence."At first, Bram refused, but after Ald insisted, he agreed, and they traveled to Ald's house.
