Chapter 60 - Chapter 60 : Junpei Sora

So when we were discussing

The fairy said,

> "You must bring that kid you talked about."

I rubbed my eyes.

> "Well… yeah… damn, I must. Anyway."

Yaaawnnnn...

I got up, hunched, back aching.

The fairy just stood there frozen — in disbelief.

> "Are you really that so-talked-about Destiny Breaker guy…?"

I stood up straight.

> "What do you mean by that? Don't I look like one?

Have some respe—"

CRACK.

My back gave out mid-sentence.

I fell, gasping.

The fairy panicked. She didn't know what to do. She just froze, trembling.

Then she flew out fast to the Fairy Queen.

> "I must do something, I must!"

She burst through the door.

> "Your Highness! Please excuse me—"

But…

Why was Her Highness laughing so hard?

The Fairy Queen wiped tears of laughter.

> "This kid… is something else."

> "He's fine," she said.

> "R-Really?" asked the fairy.

"He sounded like he was about to die or something!"

> "You may excuse yourself," said the Queen.

---

Back in my room, I was still lying there, gasping.

Then…

Webshade walked in.

> "Are you having trouble, sweetheart?" she asked with a playful smirk.

I forced a smile.

> "Nah ma'am… nothing going on.

Just me… vibin'."

> "Ohhh… it's sweet of you to say that, Kurai dear."

She walked closer.

> "Come on, let's not play child and adult here.

Why don't you lie down properly — I'm gonna give you a massage.

It's kinda dangerous to send you out like that."

> "Poor me… Nah, it's okay. I'm fine, I'm actually goo—d—wait, what are you—"

Before I could finish, she used her spider webs to stick me to the damn bed.

Then she walked over — smooth with it.

> "I swear— I don't want a massage here!"

Webshade just smiled.

> "Don't worry. I'm gonna make it short.

You're gonna love it."

SLAM!

Bellatrix burst into the room.

> "GET THE HELL OUT OF THE ROOM, YOU WITCH!"

She looked furious.

I stayed calm.

> "Are you not against this??" Bellatrix asked, confused.

I replied,

> "I got a mission to go to… and you're asking that kind of question?

C'mon… can someone help me get out of this web?"

Bellatrix turned to Webshade.

> "You heard the kid. Let's go — out."

Webshade winked.

> "I'll mess with ya later. Bye, sweetie~"

---

I made it to the bath, took a long one, then threw on my clothes — and my new cape-style cloak with a hood.

I walked slowly.

Felt like I was walking through the forest with my grandpa.

He was always so chill.

Maybe… that's the reason my father never liked me much.

> "But… I wanna know.

How are they now?

I mean… are they safe?

Are they living a good life?"

> "My sister… she must be living a high life."

> "I wish I could see them… again."

---

I walked out and teleported — to the max distance I could.

Then I did it again.

And again.

After the 7th jump, I finally reached the kingdoms.

I teleported in, hands in the pockets of my harem pants, walking with a chill vibe.

I then nullified my demon mana by replacing it with human mana.

I'd now be detected as a hunter.

It's okay for me to walk freely — just changing my hairstyle is enough.

No one would expect to see me just chillin' here.

---

I walked into Suzuki Company.

Vapor was waiting for me on the roof.

Vapor:

> "You're late."

Me:

> "C'mon bro, come over here."

Vapor:

> "Yeah, yeah. Look at you, trying to change the subject."

He jumped down beside me.

Me:

> "There was something I needed to take care of before I came."

Vapor:

> "Whatever… let's just do this damn mission."

He turned and looked toward the building.

Me:

> "Get to the room I'm gonna send you to.

Check your system — it should be displayed there."

Vapor's face looked confused.

Me:

> "Just go in and create some fog to mess with the cameras.

Two minutes is enough. After that, get out, okay?"

Vapor:

> "Gotcha, bro."

He turned into mist and flowed into the building —

moving slowly, not causing a scene.

He even made the windows and the whole area get covered by fog.

It was still too early to be called morning.

---

I walked in too —

using mist magic to cover myself.

Then I teleported straight to the room, still wrapped in fog, and began searching for info about the kid.

After a while, I found it.

Then I teleported out.

---

Vapor, walking back as he reformed into human form:

> "I guess we're finished here."

---

Then I walked toward the kid's school.

He was a year younger than me.

His file said his name is:

Junpei Sora.

> "Well then, Junpei… I'm coming to you."

---

I grabbed something from Delisos to eat on the way, then headed to stalk the kid.

I arrived near his house and sat up in a tree nearby.

Soon, it was morning.

He walked out.

Head low. Hunched. Glasses on.

Scared.

Even in this age — with healers everywhere — he still wore glasses.

Even if someone tore out your eyes, you could get healed.

Guess his family was poor.

His confidence was... low. Quiet footsteps.

---

I put on my invisible cloak and followed.

You might ask,

> "Why not just do the job alone with the cloak instead of needing Vapor?"

Well… even though the cloak lasts 5 minutes, that's not the problem.

I just don't want to appear too strong.

Or too weak.

---

We arrived at his academy.

I jumped to the roof, then slowly walked behind him.

As he entered the school, three students yelled his name.

He hesitated… but still walked toward them — scared.

I followed him silently.

When he stood in front of them, one of the boys stood up.

> "You still wear glasses?" he said mockingly.

He grabbed them… and slapped Junpei across the face.

The glasses flew off… and broke.

Junpei picked them up — silent.

He didn't say anything. He just stared at the ground.

Not even a teacher who saw it intervened.

Some acted like they didn't see it.

Others? They laughed.

The three boys — they were nobles.

Junpei just walked away… and into his class.

But instead of sitting in his seat, he sat on the ground in the corner.

I could guess why.

If he sat in his seat — others would beat him for taking their spot.

If he sat in their spot — they'd beat him for that too.

So he just sat on the ground.

When the others entered, he still didn't sit.

He waited — until the bullies chose their seats.

Then he'd figure out where it was "safe" to sit.

The teacher came and asked him to sit in his place.

But no one explained the situation.

Everyone just said:

> "Ignore him and continue teaching."

So the teacher moved on.

Junpei kept sitting on the floor — silent.

And no one stopped it.

They were all just sitting.

Unbothered.
