I withdrew everything from the bank. I have a few ideas of what I want to do with my money and I must take care of my lack of resources.
Thanks to Aurelia I have been able to resist and just use damaging dealing spells to destroy enemies fast, but I cannot depend on her. Even more if I want to investigate more dungeons.
I leave the bank.
"Thanks, have a nice… dream…" I say to the teller as I start to step back.
"Zzzzzzzz…" the teller fell asleep after giving me my money.
That was an event in itself.
And when I go out I find another situation I have no way to expect.
"H-hey! You little brat! Don't pull that!" Aurelia screams.
In the middle of the street, a bunch of kids are around Aurelia, who seems to be overwhelmed by the avalanche of children that are grabbing her tail, wings and feeling the scales on her legs, some even pulling.
"Pffft… fuahahahahaha!" Karina starts to laugh at the dragon 's ordeal. "She looks so desperate! Hahahahahaha!"
I am trying to hold my laugh with my hand.
"H-hey! Stop laughing and help me!" Aurelia screams when she sees me.
"C-children! T-the trifecta says that you should be respectful!" Lisa tries to get them to calm down but she obviously fails.
"You are a dragon?! Can you breathe fire?!" one girl asks.
"Can you burn that tree?!" Another asks.
"Children! Children!" A woman with glasses and long purple hair that is nearby says. "Don't be rude!"
"Awww… but Miss Leiva, we have never seen a dragon!"
"You seem to be good with children, Aurelia!" I comment while still holding my laughter.
"Y-you little… Hey! Look! She has a tail also, and is fluffy!" Aurelia points at me.
Oh, you traitor!
Some of the children do turn and see me.
"Oooohhh… is a fox girl!" One says and runs towards me.
"A kitsune!" Another says.
"Ah!" I try to have a better attitude. "No, I am a vulpin. Kitsunes have multiple tails… ah!"
I suddenly feel a jolt of pain in my tail. I turn and see a little boy pulling it.
"Fluffy!" He yells
"H-hey! You are not meant to pull that!" I scream.
"Look, she has fluffy ears also!" one of the children points, and attempts to pull me down.
"Ahahah! Not that simple rig- hey stop pulling my wings!" Aurelia yells.
"CHILDREN!" the woman from before yells louder and hits the cobblestone street with one of her heels. "I said don't be rude! Everyone in formation before I punish you all!"
"B-but Miss Leiva… we have never seen…"
"I said, formation! You were rude to these ladies!" She hits the floor once more.
The children protest in long "aawwwww!" and leave us alone. I grab my tail and start to rub my tail, as it was pulled hard.
They form in 2 lines in front of her with clear discipline that surprises me it is possible for them. But I can see they are mostly annoyed.
"Didn't I tell you children to be respectful?! Miss Aurelia was good enough to let you touch her scales and you were disrespectful with her and the vulpin woman there! We are going back to the classroom!" She says, and then turns towards us. "Sorry for what happened! It got out of hand!"
"D-don't worry…!" I say to her, hiding the fact that I want to kill the one that was pulling my tail.
"No, if I fail in discipline, I must reflect on myself! I am a teacher! Even I keep learning!" She fixes her glasses.
I must say that is an admirable way to see things.
"Children are difficult. In the temple I often have to bribe them with candy so they sit and don't interrupt" Lisa adds. "It is understandable that it is difficult."
"I will keep that in mind… I hope I am not blunt…" Leiva looks at Aurelia and me. "But if it is possible to invite you two to talk about your cultures… I have started a program to teach them about other species and places of the world, I would be eternally thankful."
I look at Aurelia. She doubts for a second. "What the hell… yeah, I guess we can talk… but I don't want them pulling my tail again."
"Thank you so much. My name is Miss Leiva, I teach in the school that borders the residential district. Please, visit us any time you want."
"Amber… that is Aurelia and Lisa." I nod at her. "I will try to approach as soon as I can."
She bows towards us and then makes the children follow her. They slowly walk away.
"Hahahahahaha! Amber, you looked so scared of a little kid!" She laughs.
That is how you want to play?!
"Maybe I should show them Bloodless next time!" I answer.
"Y-you wouldn't dare!"
"Are you two okay? Those children are crazy!" Lisa asks. "I am impressed that the teacher can control them at all!"
"Is fine… I was not expecting to see this scene when I came out of the bank…"
"While you were inside, the teacher appeared with those children and they got curious about me, and she asked me to answer their questions… but those little bastards started to touch and pull my tail and wings!" Aurelia says, her voice is getting loud and seems to be growling. Her hands are tight fists.
"Well… it is over…" I say.
"So, how did it go?"
"I have over 100k in my wallet right now… we need to do a bit of shopping." I say with a smile.
"Hah! I would have burned the entire town if something hit the fan like it did last time!" Aurelia explains.
I would have too.
"Hey! Can we get meat?! I want more!" Aurelia says.
"You almost ate the whole reserve we had!" And it was raw when she is of the species that can cook them with ease!
"Let's go " I finally say. "I have something to take care of first."
