"Sir, the body of Succubus Estel was found at the southern docks," Solen reported to his Chief, his eyes still holding the disbelief he felt when he saw the dead demon in front of him.
"What do you mean?" The Chief coughed. He covered his mouth with a handkerchief and some bits of blood splattered on it.
"She died of a broken neck. Based on the autopsy, it was done by someone with strong force. There is evidence of strangling marks on her neck and blood on her nails, indicating that she was fighting back when she was strangled." Solen dutifully stated the information while glancing at his Chief. His eyes were worried.
"Did that awakener from the capital take action?" The Chief also found her sudden death unbelievable. "No, that shouldn't be. Because even if they wanted to switch sides, it would be too late."
Hearing that, Solen's eyes darkened. "Another force?" The town was already in such a state. Don't tell him another power wanted to join the fun?
