Chapter 5 - CH 4 the forced marriage

Chapter 5: The Unwanted Bride

Meera slowly opened her eyes. Her head felt heavy. Her heart even heavier.

She looked around and saw white walls, a golden chandelier, velvet curtains—this wasn't her room. This wasn't her wedding house.

And then, she saw him.

Kabir Oberoi.

Standing near the window, arms crossed, watching her with unreadable eyes.

Meera sat up quickly, her voice shaking.

> Meera: "What is this place? Why am I here? Today is my wedding… please let me go!"

Tears ran down her face as she begged him, her voice breaking again and again.

> Meera: "Please, Kabir… don't do this. Please, I beg you."

But Kabir didn't move. He just watched her quietly.

Later that evening, in a private room of the mansion, the marriage happened.

A forced marriage.

Meera stood in a bridal outfit once again, but this time—her eyes full of tears, her heart full of anger. No music, no joy. Just Kabir's strong hand around hers as the rituals were done quickly.

She didn't say a word. She just looked at the floor, silent and broken.

After the wedding, Meera went straight to the guest room, locked the door, and cried all night. Her sobs echoed in the empty walls. Her life had changed completely—and not in the way she ever wanted.

---

Meanwhile…

Her parents were searching everywhere. They called relatives, friends, even the police—but no one had seen their daughter. Her wedding house had turned into a place of silence and questions.

---

The Next Morning – Oberoi Mansion

Meera opened the door slowly. Her eyes were swollen, her cheeks red. She had cried so much, it felt like her heart had turned into stone.

She walked downstairs, quietly.

Aditya and Ayaan stood in the living room. They gave her a warm smile.

> Aditya: "Good morning, bhabhi."

> Ayaan: "Morning, bhabhi."

Meera nodded slightly but didn't speak. Then Kabir entered.

> Kabir (casually): "Hi Meera. What's up?"

Meera stared at him. Her eyes were filled with rage, pain, and betrayal. Kabir knew she hated him—but he believed that one day, she would understand him. One day, she might even love him.

Aditya pulled him aside.

> Aditya: "Kabir, don't scare her. She's not ready. Please control your anger."

Kabir nodded. But Kabir was Kabir. And sometimes, his anger was uncontrollable.

---

Later That Evening

Meera brought Kabir a cup of tea to his study. She placed it on the table softly, not saying a word.

Just then, Kabir's assistant called.

> "Sir! Your enemy from the basement… he escaped!"

Kabir's face changed in seconds. He stood up and without thinking, pushed the cup off the table. It smashed on the floor.

Meera flinched and stepped back in fear.

Kabir looked up—and saw her still standing there. Her eyes were wide, her hands shaking.

She didn't say anything. She turned and ran upstairs, crying hard.

Kabir followed her. He knocked softly on the door.

> "Meera... please open the door. I didn't mean to scare you."

She opened it, tears flowing.

> "Why, Kabir? Why me? Why did you ruin my life? You stole everything from me. My family, my wedding, my dreams. I hate you! I hate you!"

Kabir's heart twisted, but he didn't give up.

> "Maybe one day… you'll understand me. Maybe you'll fall in love with me too."

> "Never," Meera shouted. "Never."

---

Two Days Later

Meera knocked on Kabir's door. He opened it, surprised.

> Meera: "I want to go to college."

Kabir raised an eyebrow.

> Meera: "You took everything from me. But I won't give up my career. My dreams. I'm going to college."

Kabir nodded.

> "Fine. But you won't go alone. Ayaan and a few guards will go with you."

She stared at him, then gave a small nod.

---

Next Morning – Outside College

Meera arrived with Ayaan and 10-15 guards. But as soon as she got out of the car, media cameras clicked from all sides.

> "Meera! What happened?" "Why did your wedding get canceled?" "Are you really married to Kabir Oberoi?"

Meera broke down. She ran inside, crying. Her best friend Isha saw her and rushed over.

Meera hugged her tightly.

> Meera: "Isha... why me? Why did this happen to me?"

Isha hugged her back, wiping her tears.

> Isha: "Tell me everything. I'm here. I won't leave you."

They sat in class together, but Meera felt tired—mentally and emotionally.

During break, she turned to Ayaan.

> Meera: "Please tell Kabir... I can't walk with so many guards. It's too much. I'm not free anymore."

Ayaan nodded.

> "I'll talk to him."

---

That night, Meera cried again. Curled in her bed, she cried until she had no more tears left. Then slowly, quietly… she fell asleep.
