After the robot rampage incident, government officials had been accusing the military of failing to perform their duties. They were blamed for allowing an unauthorized individual to stop the robots, an act that was heroic, and was seen as a major breach of national security.
In response, General Kuto called for an urgent meeting. An announcement was made, ordering all uniformed officers to attend that afternoon. Later that afternoon, the room was tense with anticipation as officers waited to hear what the General had to say.
"Welcome, officers," General Kuto began, scanning the room." I appreciate those of you who made it in time for this important briefing. However, the matter at hand is deeply troubling. That brings me to this question, "Who among you knows the mysterious individual who intervened?" He paused. "All we know so far is that he has a jetpack.... and an armor." The room fell silent. Then one officer finally stood." Sir if I may, on the news we heard you speak about the rogue robots. You are in charge of the research and science facility."
"Wasn't your responsibility to keep the robots under control?" The officer's blunt words made General Kuto's expression hardened. He sighed sharply. "The robot's issues were resolved the moment that mysterious man showed up. But this isn't about the robots anymore it's about him. As for now, he's to be considered wanted. I want him found and brought in for questioning."
He leaned in forward, his tone stern. "Find his whereabouts and arrest him. My research team and I will analyze his suit and gear. This meeting is adjourned."
With that, the officers stood and began filing out of the room, murmuring among themselves. After all the officers had left, a man in a lab coat entered the room , holding a tablet in his hands. It was Dr.Tristan, the assistant head of the research team. General Kuto glanced towards the door. A grin crept across his face when he saw who he was.
"I presume you have good news for me?" He asked confidently. Dr. Tristan shook his head "Not exactly the kind of news to celebrate. Our research about the mysterious individual confirms, he's not an ordinary person." Kuto raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by....not ordinary?" Tristan sighed and tapped a few buttons on his tablet. " The suspect in question.....he's wearing the helmet of the legendary Kawasaki ninja." Kuto's eyes narrowed.
"After his appearance at the scene, we detected the same energy signature that we recorded during the incident at the Desert of Doom." General Kuto slowly sat down, deep in thought. "Hmm..... interesting. He showed up now, just in time to stop the robots. With power like that , he could oppose us in the future." Dr.Tristan leaned forward. "Can't we use him as a test subject for the Tech helmet project?"
General Kuto chuckled darkly. "He would make a perfect test subject, especially now that he has the Kawasaki helmet but, from what he's shown....he would rather die for this country than betray it. He stood up, his expression turning cold ."Playtime is over. It's time to bring back the perfect soldier for our experiment." He laughed ."Let the hunt begin."
Who is the perfect soldier? The story begins long before Japan's special military force was established. Back then, General Kuto, who was a Lieutenant, was in charge of recruiting young talents. He travelled across Japan, searching for children between the ages of 10 and 13.
Among the many families affected by war was the bloodline of Kemono Ashashi. It was said that they are descendants of the legendary Zaki, though their ancestors had abandoned the Kawasaki clan after being hunted by the Empire's troops.
Kemono was the son of Fugiguro, once one of the strongest warriors of the Kawasaki clan. In the modern age, the family had changed their surname to avoid detection by the government. Kuto had done his research. He dug deep, gathering files and intel on the surviving members of the Kawasaki bloodline. One day, while scouting, he came across a young boy training alone in a remote village. His eyes burned with determination as he practiced fiercely, driven by inner fire.
Kuto was fascinated. Kuto stepped into the boy's view. Instantly, the boy dropped into a fighting stance, prepared to defend himself. Kuto raised both hands in peace and said," I mean you do no harm." The boy looked thin and tired. Silently, Kuto placed a loaf of bread wrapped in paper on the ground. Uncertain, The boy crept forward cautiously, eyes locked onto Kuto.
He picked up the bread and stepped back, then sniffed and licked it, checking for poison. When he felt it was safe, he devoured it hungrily, his jaws moving fast. Kuto chuckled. "What's your name?" The boy looked at him with sharp eyes and replied "Aota."
Kuto smiled. " Aota... do you have any family nearby?" Aota didn't answer right away, but the food had earned Kuto a small degree of trust.
He nodded and gestured for Kuto to follow him. Together, they walked to a small, lonely building where Aota lived with his father, mother and little sister. Kuto gave the family enough bread to last the evening and the following day. The next morning, he returned. This time, Aota ran to greet him with a smile. Kuto smiled back, pleased by the change.
The family was having breakfast, thanks to the food he had provided. After the meal, Kuto asked Aota to follow him to the training spot where he had seen him training. He looked the boy in the eye. "Aota, do you want your family to have food everyday? Aota hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yes.....My mum and dad have been suffering for a long time. Sir, if there's anything I can do to help them, I will do it."
Kuto nodded, smiling "You are brave for your age. I am recruiting young talents for special training. In return, your family will get meals everyday." Aota's eyes lit up .He jumped in excitement. "I'm in!" Kuto handed him a sealed bag. "This food will cover a week for your family." Overwhelmed, Aota began to cry. "Thank you, sir. We are truly grateful."
That evening, Aota packed his clothes and belongings and left with Kuto. At the barracks, Kuto's officers had already recruited other young children from across the region. The training began immediately. The first two weeks were brutal, but all managed to survive.
Each week, however, the training intensified. After two months, nearly half of the recruits had died under the harsh conditions. But Aota endured it all. Driven by the desire to feed his family and to repay the man who gave them hope, he pushed through every hardship. He refused to give up. After two years, out of the thousands of children recruited, only seven survived and qualified to join the special military unit. Aota became their leader. He was the strongest among the seven.
By the age of 17, he was promoted as captain of the squad. A master strategist and a well-trained martial artist, Aota earned the respect of the military. Lieutenant Kuto, now promoted to Squad Commander, watched Aota closely. At age 25, Aota earned the name "Perfect Soldier", for his unmatched skills and intellect. However, Commander Kuto was still unsatisfied. He believed Aota held greater potential than what he had displayed.
To awaken that hidden power, Kuto devised a dark plan. Aota was assigned a mission alongside a few soldiers to eliminate a terrorist group hiding in an abandoned zone. He led the team into the location, swiftly neutralizing the targets.
But just as he prepared to leave, something caught his eye, a shoe, identical to the one he had bought for her sister. Curious and uneasy, Aota rushed forward. He removed the masks from the bodies. What he saw froze his heart. His family....they lay there in cold blood. He killed his family with his own hands.
Without knowing, he had just killed his parents and sister. Aota let out a scream of agony and collapsed by his sisters body, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. The other soldiers, confused by his actions, urged him to leave. But something snapped in Aota. His rage ignited like wildfire. He grabbed one of the soldiers by the neck and broke it without hesitation.
The others, panicked, tried to call headquarters to report what had happened. Aota moved swiftly, eliminating them before they could reach their weapons. Special forces were dispatched immediately, but Aota, in his fury, killed 45 elite soldiers before finally being subdued with powerful anesthetic.
Kuto's twisted plan had worked. Using Aota's pain had turned him to a merciless weapon. But the world had taken notice. The United States intervened, declaring that a man capable of such destruction could not be allowed to roam free.
Aota was captured and isolated in a U.S facility. Years passed. And now, General Kuto had made up his mind, he would bring the perfect soldier back, not as a hero but as a test subject. Two weeks later, General Kuto and Dr. Tristan booked a flight to the United States to negotiate Aota's release from confinement.
Their plane landed in the morning. A special convoy was dispatched to receive them. Upon arrival, General Kuto and Dr. Tristan were escorted to the office of the Defense Minister, where the Minister for Foreign Affairs also joined the meeting.
The Defense Minister opened the discussion. "We are glad you arrived safely. I received your email regarding the perfect soldier. After all these years, why do you want him back? Kuto sighed, and replied:" A new threat has emerged on our radar, something we believe poses a danger to Japan's national security. And the only person capable of stopping it...is the Perfect Soldier."
The two Ministers exchanged glances, then sat back in their seats, completing Kuto's words. The Foreign Affairs Minister leaned forward. "Do you have any evidence to support these claims?" Kuto snapped his fingers, and Dr.Tristan pressed a button on a remote he was holding.
A video appeared on the monitor, showing the mysterious figure in action, displaying astonishing combat and advanced technology. The Defense Minister raised an eyebrow. "Can't your military or special forces handle the threat?" Kuto responded without hesitation. "According to our investigations, the suspect used advanced unidentified tech. He slices through combat robots like they're made of plastic, and his speed is off the charts."
Both Ministers were visibly impressed and intrigued by the footage and Kuto's briefing. "Very well," the Defense Minister said at last. "We will release him to the Japanese government under strict conditions. He will be monitored by fifteen of our special tech soldiers at all times, and a tracker will be implanted in his hands to monitor his location." General Kuto and Dr.Tristan exchanged satisfied glances, then shook hands with both ministers in agreement. Just an hour later, the documents for Aota's release from the U.S. confinement were officially processed. General Kuto and Dr.Tristan were escorted to a special facility where Aota was being held.
Upon arrival, Kuto approached the security guard and requested to speak with Aota before his official release. Aota was confined in the lowest chamber of the facility, a heavily secured vacuum-sealed area designed for receiving visitors.
Moments later, Aota was brought into a transparent cube. A single chair sat in the center, and he was ordered to sit. A few minutes later, General Kuto entered the observation room through the back door. A thick, clear shield of reinforced glass was separating them.
Aota's cold eyes looked onto Kuto. Kuto chuckled quietly, the intensity in Aota's gaze reminded him how to feel alive. "Hello, Aota. Happy to meet your uncle," General Kuto said with a smirk. Aota's face burned with rage "I thought you would never visit me unless it was to watch me die. I haven't forgotten what you made me do. And I know you didn't come all the way to the United States out of kindness."
Kuto grinned darkly. "Impressive, even after all these years you deduction skills haven't dulled. To be fair, your family's death was for the great good." Aota shot up from his chair, eyes blazing. "Don't you dare speak about them. You gave us hope when we had none. When we lost our will to live, you gave it back to us. Then, with your selfish ambition, you shattered everything. I hate you and everyone who made this world a bitter place."
Kuto laughed coldly. "Oh Aota.... I'm truly sorry for your loss. I didn't realize 'The perfect Soldier' still had emotions. Sylvia told me, she misses you. You should care about her a little. Anyway, I have a reason for coming today. I want to build a new world, one filled with joy, happiness, and a peaceful place you can call home."
"But I'll need your help to make it happen." Aota stared at him, unmoved. "The only thing I would do if I ever get out...is crush you along with Japan." Kuto raised an eyebrow, still smiling." Those are hash words. But let's make a deal. Help me build a new Japan, and in return I will let you see your sister again."
Aota's heart twisted. "What do you mean?" Kuto sighed. "I managed to remove the bullet you shot into her head. Miraculously it didn't damage her brain." "How can I trust you?" Aota demanded. Kuto leaned in confidently.
"Everything I've done...was to help you reach this level, that alone should earn my trust." Aota sat down, the thought of seeing his sister softening the fury in his heart. A flicker of hope sparked within him. "Fine, Commander Kuto, I will join your team." Kuto grinned. "Excellent, the U.S government will release you tomorrow. And just so you know, I'm a General now." He stood and walked out of the room, leaving Aota in silence.
The next day, all arrangements were made for Aota's transfer to Japan. General Kuto and Dr. Tristan waited at the airport for his arrival. Moments later, Aota appeared, escorted by a heavily armed security team . He wore handcuffs with a mask covering his mouth. A military cargo plane had been prepared for the trip. The sky was clear, and the atmosphere was calm.
Aota was moved into the cargo hold, flanked by guards. General Kuto and Dr. Tristan joined after, and the aircraft lifted into the sky, heading back
to Japan.
