Chapter 10 - Easily Subdued

At the entrance of the convenience store, the trio looked into each other's eyes.

A strong malice was approaching within his perception, and Jiang Dao was keenly aware that all this came from the three people at the entrance.

Then, perhaps because they discovered that he was also here, the three men's eyes flashed, and they were briefly surprised.

Then, there was an unexpected scene.

Crash!

The roller shutter door of the convenience store was suddenly pulled down by one of them, forcibly isolating the inside and the outside.

The violent movement occurred, and the staff in red, who was placing goods in the shelf area, hurried over after hearing the sound, holding two boxes of Coca-Cola in her hands.

"Xiao Wang, why did it close suddenly?"

Before she finished speaking, the girl's face turned pale and she stopped where she was.

To find out the reason, she took a look.

After closing the roller shutter door, the three men wearing masks and baseball caps suddenly took out switchblades from their waists.

One of them stood guard at the roller shutter door, pointing at the staff at the counter, and the other two walked towards the staff girl and Jiang Dao.

"Hurry up and take the money, be quick!"

The vicious voice sounded, and Jiang Dao felt it was a little familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere.

Dong!

Then, the cans of Coca-Cola fell to the ground, and the metal shells were dented.

Someone was robbing the convenience store!

The staff girl in the red uniform in the shelf area was so scared that her body trembled and her face turned pale.

She saw one of them pointing a knife at her and walking towards her, showing a threatening and menacing look.

She felt her legs trembling, and she fell on the spot.

"Don't call the police if you want to live."

"Be honest and put all the money in."

The man in the baseball cap at the cashier continued to urge and threaten, and put a red plastic bag in front of the cashier in red.

There were no other customers in the convenience store at this moment, and after the roller shutter door was closed, it was obvious that no one outside noticed the abnormality here, especially in this weather.

All Jiang Dao could say was that this group of thieves had truly picked a great time to rob.

Jiang Dao felt a little irritated looking at this with a blank expression.

Meanwhile, with the cashier at the counter, the blade pointed at him, and he did as he was told and opened the cash drawer of the cash register.

There was a lot of loose cash in it, mostly five and ten yuan, but also a lot of fifty and hundred yuan.

Adding up the scattered money, it was estimated that there were two to three thousand yuan.

"Hurry up!"

"Don't play tricks on me!"

The man at the cashier was a little anxious and his tone was also very irritable.

While speaking, he even deliberately patted the cashier guy on the head with his hand as a warning.

Influenced by this, the cashier guy paused and looked up at him.

"Look at your father!"

"Money! I asked you to take the money!"

"And the cigarettes in the back, Shuihua, Jiuhua and Baihua, take as many as you can, hurry up!"

The man pointed at him with a switchblade, and the cashier guy glanced at the shelf area.

The staff girl was so scared that her whole body trembled, and she kept shaking her head slightly at him, with pleading eyes, as if to indicate not to be impulsive.

As for the other man, he saw that she had no resistance, so he grabbed a few large bags of betel nuts.

"Damn, you are just standing there."

"Do you believe it or not, I will stab you right now?"

Seeing that Jiang Dao didn't give him the money, the man in front of him looked impatient and cursed angrily.

The switchblade swung back and forth, as if to teach Jiang Dao a lesson.

Clatter.

Suddenly, a bunch of banknotes were put into the plastic bag by Jiang Dao. The man with the knife looked at it, his face relaxed, and his eyes seemed a little excited.

"There's still something in your bag!"

"Hurry up and give it to the old man."

Click!

A sudden sound rang out!

The man with the knife, who had not finished speaking, suddenly felt a pain in his wrist. When he looked down, he saw that Jiang Dao had already tightly grasped his wrist holding the switchblade.

Their four eyes looked at each other, and a cold light appeared.

"Dad should be first, Mom second."

"Why did you skip to the old man? You're so spoiled."

Bang!!!

The cold voice fell, and Jiang Dao suddenly pulled down, and the strong strength burst out, pressing the other party's palm against the shelf on the spot, shaking it slightly.

The switchblade was shaken out of his hand, and the masked man's face changed drastically.

Before he could resist, he saw a big hand reaching out and grabbing his head.

Then, it slammed down onto the hard knee from below.

Bang!!

The muffled sound echoed, and the guy's nose was bloodied and slightly crooked.

The peaked cap flew off, the figure fainted, and the convenience store fell into momentary silence.

"Fuck!"

Another man cursed at the situation, his eyes were hesitant, but he chose to throw away the betel nut and rushed over with a switchblade.

"Let go!"

He looked fierce on the outside but was actually a coward.

Jiang Dao looked calm, ignoring the man who was knocked unconscious, then met the guy at the front of the counter.

The switchblade was stabbed fiercely, and he turned his body to the side, and his instinct appeared.

Swish!

The blade passed by, and his eyes became colder.

Without hesitation, he punched suddenly.

Boom!!

The fist hit the chin, and a tooth mixed with blood flew out.

The figure staggered backwards, knocked over a shelf, and fell to the ground, falling unconscious on the spot.

Then the guy threatening the staff girl saw that the situation was not looking good and tried to take a hostage, but the girl ran away. Then the cashier guy picked up a bottle of Coke and hit it against the back of his head, making him fall unconscious on the spot.

The sound of goods falling was heard, and the staff girl, who was slumped on the ground next to him, was stunned.

Looking with wide eyes, the strong physique cast a shadow under the light, and the bottles of Coca-Cola that had fallen on the ground were picked up again.

The familiar yet unfamiliar young man reached out his hand, and she could see that he said calmly:

"Call the police, Xiao Xiao."

--

Chen Feng was working nonchalantly, his mind elsewhere as he planned his next move against his gym rival.

"That baldy thinks he can take my place as the coach's favorite student, but with me here... hehe..."

*Bang!*

A loud crash jolted him from his thoughts. Looking up, Chen Feng was shocked to see three suspicious figures had not only entered but were now pulling down the store's security shutter, trapping everyone inside. With their dark clothing and concealed faces, they might as well have worn signs saying "CRIMINAL."

*A robbery? Today?*

Chen Feng couldn't help but grin. He'd been wanting to practice his boxing skills, and these robbers had just volunteered as training dummies. Perfect timing.

*Tap! Tap!*

Urgent footsteps echoed through the store as the trio split up—one approaching him at the counter, another heading for the female employee, and the third moving toward the customer who'd just arrived.

Chen Feng shook his head at the unfortunate customer's bad luck. *Wrong place, wrong time.* Still, with Chen Feng here, everyone would be safe—he'd make sure of it.

The robber reached his counter and brandished a switchblade, pointing it directly at Chen Feng's face.

"Give me all the money! Now! Fast, if you don't want to die!"

When Chen Feng didn't immediately comply, the robber grew agitated, waving the blade menacingly before slapping Chen Feng on the head.

Feeling the robber's spittle and the insulting blow, Chen Feng's blood boiled. He raised his head slowly, outwardly calm but seething within. To the robber, however, he probably looked like just another terrified victim.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted to his right. The customer—the one Chen Feng had pitied moments ago—had just beaten his attacker to the ground with brutal efficiency.

Seeing his companion in trouble, Chen Feng's robber started to move toward the customer.

Chen Feng had been ready to help, but the mysterious customer subdued the second robber in seconds.

*Who is this guy?*

Though puzzled, Chen Feng didn't hesitate. He grabbed a glass Coke bottle and struck the third robber who was threatening the female employee, sending him crashing to the floor.

*Shame I couldn't use my boxing skills properly,* Chen Feng thought, shaking his head.

He studied the strong customer more carefully. The man was slightly taller than Chen Feng, with healthy, pale hands marked by faint green veins that disappeared beneath his sleeves. Just one glance told Chen Feng this was someone formidable—possibly as strong as Chen Feng had been before learning Sanda.

---

Xiao Xiao had been restocking the beverage section when the shutter door suddenly slammed shut with a tremendous crash. Startled, she turned toward the counter, still holding two boxes of Coca-Cola.

"Xiao Wang, why did we close so suddenly?"

The words died in her throat as her face went pale. Three masked figures in dark coats had produced switchblades and were spreading throughout the store. One guarded the now-sealed entrance while the other two advanced—one toward her, one toward the customer.

"Hurry up and hand over the money! Be quick about it!"

The harsh voice made her blood freeze. The Coca-Cola boxes slipped from her trembling hands.

*Dong!*

The metal cans hit the floor with dull thuds, some denting on impact.

*A robbery! They're actually robbing the store!*

Terror overwhelmed her as one of the masked men approached, knife gleaming. Her legs gave out, and she collapsed where she stood, shaking uncontrollably.

"Don't call the police if you want to live," the robber at the counter snarled, throwing a red plastic bag at Chen Feng. "Fill it up with everything!"

The store was empty except for the one customer, and with the shutter down in this weather, no one outside would notice anything wrong.

Just as despair set in, everything changed in an instant.

The customer—whom she'd barely noticed before—moved like lightning. One moment the robber was threatening him, the next the man was unconscious on the floor, blood streaming from his broken nose.

Before she could process what had happened, the customer had disabled the second robber with a devastating punch that sent teeth flying.

Her own attacker, seeing his companions fall, tried to grab her as a hostage, but she managed to scramble away. Chen Feng finished the job with a Coke bottle to the back of the man's head.

In the sudden silence that followed, she stared up at the customer in awe. Under the fluorescent lights, his strong physique cast an imposing shadow. He calmly picked up one of the fallen Coke cans and extended his hand to help her up.

"Call the police, Xiao Xiao."

Wait... that voice...

"Su Yuan?"

She looked more closely at the muscular young man before her. It was her classmate! But he'd changed so dramatically—the once-skinny Su Yuan now had broad, defined shoulders and an entirely different presence. In this dim lighting and given the circumstances, she hadn't recognized him at all.

How had quiet, thin Su Yuan become... this?
