As Kento was ready to make his move, Shiro was observing him. Kento looked down and saw the knife. Shiro tilts his head and says, "Go on." Kento looked at his eyes—his eyes had no emotion, no fear, as if he knows what Kento will do. Kento sighs, "It's useless. I know I can't outsmart you. Just tell me, why are you here? What do you want?" Shiro steps back a bit—the killer instinct disappeared when Kento decided not to attack him. Shiro says, "I can't believe this guy. You all really needed me to deal with this sloth." Kento steps forward and asks, "Who are you talking with?" Shiro reaches his hand toward Kento and points a finger at him, then he swipes his finger. As soon as he swipes his finger, Kento's whole body shook. His body freezes for a moment—he's unable to move. Kento stood there, unable to move his body. Unfortunately, he wasn't frozen—he was cut. Kento manages to look down at his chest and sees his chest has been cut off. No weapon, no contact—just a small flick from his finger, and Kento's chest splits open. Blood comes out of his chest—a long horizontal cut covered his chest. His blood was coming out rapidly. The cut was so accurate and precise that he couldn't even understand it at first. He looks at Shiro, but his body was still unable to move. His vision is getting blurry, his head was spinning—he blacks out. As his eyes were getting closed, he was looking at Shiro standing in front of him. His vision was blurry, but before getting completely unconscious, he noticed the front door was opening. Someone was entering. Kento falls on the floor and gets unconscious. His chest still bleeding—the blood covers the whole floor. Shiro steps forward toward his body and says, "My job is done here. Do yours."
"With pleasure," a voice from behind.
"Where am I? What happened? Oh, I remember now—he killed me. No... How can I still be talking to myself if I was killed? Is this what it feels like after dying?" Kento was talking to himself, but he couldn't see anything. He could feel nothing. For him, it felt like drowning in an endless sea of nothingness. He couldn't feel his hands—he was unable to do anything. Kento's life was flashing in front of him.
"This is the end for me," Kento whispers. All hope was lost for him. Out of nowhere, a voice appears in his mind: "Wake up, Kento." Kento's eyes opened shockingly—his eyes widened, his hands were shaking, his face was sweating. He got up, noticed he was in his room, sitting in his bed. He looked left and right, up and down—everything is real, everything is in its place. Suddenly, a flashing memory comes in his mind—he remembers Shiro, the way Shiro split open his chest. Kento looks down—he pulls his shirt and sees his chest was absolutely fine, not a scratch. But he clearly remembers he took a fatal blow. "What's happening? What was all that before?" he whispers to himself. Kento tries to stand up but stumbles on the floor. A sound comes from the hallway. The front door was getting closed. Kento notices the sound and somehow manages to get to the door but sees nobody. He opens the door, steps outside, but sees nobody. Kento looks down from the stairs and sees someone was going downstairs—a girl. Kento calls her, "Hey, stop! Who are you?" The girl stops for a moment, then she suddenly walks down the stairs faster. Kento calls again, "Hey, stop, I said!" Kento takes a step toward the stairs and tries to chase her. All of a sudden, Kento feels a chilling sensation behind him—his whole body freezes for a moment. Someone was behind him. The person puts his hand on Kento's shoulder and says, "If you tell a single soul about anything that happened, I will kill you." Kento looks back and sees Shiro standing behind him. His eyes wide open, his legs froze again—and within a split second, Shiro disappears into thin air. In a blink of an eye, he vanished. Kento breaks down on his knees, his eyes filled with tears—"What is happening? Someone, please tell me what's happening?" Kento was suffering . He couldn't believed what happened . He was constantly thinking about the fragment part . What is a fragment ? Why did he came at the first place ?
Kento was facing psychological torture. He witnessed his own death—he could've sworn that he was injured badly, his chest was split open. He couldn't even understand what Shiro meant when he said he needs the fragment. Kento spends the whole night in fear and despair. He holds a knife in his hand and was sitting in a corner of the room. His eyes filled with tears, his mind was running with thousands of questions. While all this was happening, Shiro was walking on the street. Every step he took, the more and more despair grips Kento. Shiro was walking in an empty alleyway—every lamppost he passed, the lights flicker and turn off. His eyes looked gloomy, his hands were in his pockets. Shiro stops. He turns around and looks back, tilts his head a bit, and says, "Until next time, sloth." Kento grips the knife handle harder and says, "I will find you." Shiro looks in front of him and stretches his hands, points a finger. "Shift," he says. Upon saying "Shift," a small black box appears in front of him. "Gateway," Shiro says again. This time, the box starts shaking and starts leaking straight aura from it. All of a sudden, the box bursts, and a black gateway appears in front of Shiro. He steps inside of it—a thick black layer covers him as he enters. "Close,"—upon saying it, the gateway closes. No trace left behind.
Left behind, Kento was sitting in a corner and thinking about everything. He says, "Shiro... I will find you." His vision becomes blurry, and his head was spinning. He falls asleep.
