Chapter 264 - 264. The Mansion

The driver took a quick glance at the paper, then nodded. "Understood, my lord. Please, step inside the carriage. I'll take you there as soon as possible."

Kaito gave a brief smile and stepped inside the carriage, settling into the cushioned seat. Before the driver could climb onto the front bench, Kaito spoke up. "As for the fee…."

Before he could finish, the driver hurriedly waved his hands, his face showing mild panic. "Fee? What courage would I have to charge a noble like you, my lord Viscount? It would be an honor to take you there."

Kaito let out a quiet sigh and shook his head. "There's no need for that. I'll pay according to the market rate. Don't make it difficult."

The driver hesitated, clearly torn between respect and honesty. "My lord, I…."

But Kaito's calm gaze made it clear that he meant what he said. After insisting several times, the driver finally relented. "Very well, my lord," he said carefully. "The fare to that address would be one gold coin."

Kaito nodded. "Alright."

The price was reasonable for the city, even if it was far more expensive compared to smaller towns. In a place like South Glade Town, one gold coin could buy ten minor regeneration potions or other useful supplies. But in Astralis City especially in the western region one gold coin could barely get you a short carriage ride. The difference in living standards between a town and a grand city like this was truly immense.

The driver climbed up to his seat and took the reins. The horses gave a small snort, their harnesses jingling softly. With a flick of the reins, the carriage began to move smoothly down the paved street.

Inside, Kaito leaned back slightly, looking out through the window as the scenery shifted. The elegant architecture of the western district passed by stone mansions, decorated fences, and streets lined with flowering trees. Guards patrolled regularly, and the faint sound of distant chatter mixed with the rhythmic sound of the carriage wheels.

As the carriage rolled smoothly through the western region's streets, Kaito leaned back slightly and opened his inventory to check his balance. The gentle sway of the carriage made the golden glow of his coins shimmer faintly across the screen.

Even after all the massive expenses purchasing several plots of land and repaying various costs he still had 23,532 gold coins left which were due to his guides for the misty palace dungeon that he had uploaded before. Seeing that number, Kaito felt a quiet satisfaction settle in his chest. The increase after this had become much slower, but it was still there. He knew this was likely the limit for now. The sale rate of his guides had started to stabilize, meaning he had already reached the highest possible demand.

In total, the Misty Palace guides excluding that of the King-level, alone had earned him close to 40,000 gold coins. The amount was far beyond what any ordinary player could dream of at this stage of the game.

Then with no major expenditures planned after this, Kaito decided to settle a few small matters. The first thing he did was send 5,000 gold coins each to Velena and Zephyr, repaying the debt he had taken earlier.

It wasn't a large debt, and neither of them would have ever pressured him to return it so soon. But Kaito disliked owing anyone, no matter how small the amount. He always preferred to keep things clear and balanced. So now that he had enough gold and no pressing need, he directly transferred the repayment to them, clearing the matter completely.

After that, he opened his friend list and sent a message to his Second Uncle.

He informed him that all the land purchases had been successfully completed and that there was no longer any need to buy more gold coins. He wrote. "Uncle let the others level up faster at let the main team enter the Astralis city as soon as possible and then you can, focus on Genesis's overall development. Try to get as many of our members to reach Astralis City as soon as possible after that."

With the land secured, Kaito's attention was already towards Genesis's future. Astralis City was enormous far larger and more complex than any of the previous towns or cities players had visited. There were countless opportunities, but also countless ways to get lost or waste time.

Kaito knew that once he began his class change quest, he wouldn't have time to personally manage Genesis's affairs for a while. So, to ensure the guild continued progressing even in his absence, he decided to prepare something useful for them in advance.

Opening a new document, Kaito began compiling a detailed City Guide for Astralis City.

The guide contained some of the basic things that he had learned in his past life about the city, locations, routes, quests, and useful information. He marked key places such as major chamber of commerces branches, merchant halls, blacksmiths, alchemy shops, teleportation points and some other important locations. But beyond that, he also included details about hidden quests, special events, and even precious resource spots that most players would overlook.

Thanks to his memories from his previous life, Kaito remembered many things that others had yet to discover. He noted down every valuable hint he could recall where to find rare monster spawns, which NPCs offered special tasks, and even where hidden dungeon entrances were located.

He didn't stop there. Kaito also added sections specifically for lifestyle players those who focused on crafting, gathering, or other non-combat professions. He listed areas where they could find useful materials, special collection quests, and even tips on how to unlock profession upgrades faster.

His goal was simple: to make sure that while he was busy with his own quest, the rest of Genesis wouldn't remain idle. With this guide, they could move ahead confidently, gaining experience, wealth, and reputation long before other guilds caught up.

Once the city guide was nearly finished, Kaito started working on another document, a Class Change Guide.

He divided it according to the basic starting classes that players could initially choose, such as warrior, mage, thief, ranger, knight, cleric, elemental mages like fire, ice, thunder etc. he wanted to include at least every class that a genesis member has chosen. For each one, he decided to recorded the possible class advancement paths, the conditions required to unlock them, and the common mistakes players made during those quests.

In his previous life, countless players had posted about their experiences completing their class change quests on the forums. Kaito had read almost all of them back then, and now that knowledge resurfaced clearly in his mind. He remembered many of the specific NPCs, quest chains, and triggers involved. Using that information, he began reconstructing everything carefully into an organized guide.

This document, unlike the city guide, required extra care. The class change quests were often complex, full of hidden conditions and traps. Many players, even strong ones, had failed or gotten stuck for days simply because they missed one small step.

Kaito knew that after reaching level 20, every player would immediately rush to start their class change quest. But these quests weren't as simple as they seemed. In his past life, he had seen players get trapped in those quests for a week or more, unable to progress. He didn't want Genesis members to fall into the same situation.

That was why he wanted to complete this guide with absolute precision no shortcuts, no missing details.

As the carriage continued to move, Kaito worked quietly, typing and arranging his notes in the system interface. The rhythmic sound of the carriage wheels blended softly with his thoughts.

A few minutes later, the carriage began to slow down. Feeling the shift, Kaito looked up from his interface.

The driver's voice came from outside. "My lord Viscount, we've arrived at the destination."

Kaito closed his interface and nodded to himself. Before stepping out, he quickly sent the completed City Guide to his Second Uncle, instructing him to distribute it to the Genesis members. He also sent a short message along with it:

"Don't let anyone rush their class change quest yet. Tell them to wait until I finish mine. Once my class change is complete, I'll send them a full guide to clear it also even if after this someone wants to try let them try."

The Class Change Guide was still incomplete, and Kaito didn't want to risk spreading partial information that might mislead someone. It was better to wait and finish it properly.

After ensuring the city guide was sent, Kaito closed his interface and stepped out of the carriage.

The driver quickly turned and bowed respectfully. Kaito handed him the payment one gold coin for the trip. The man hesitated for a moment, but when Kaito nodded firmly, he accepted it and thanked him sincerely before climbing back onto his seat. The carriage soon rolled away, disappearing into the street's quiet flow.

Kaito turned around and froze for a moment.

A large mansion stood before him.
