*Vilgax POV*
*Location: Intergalactic Cruiser (Vilgax's Ship)*
*Date: 5046th Rotation/2001 Earth Year*
Six long years have passed, and while I have found several Earth-like planets in different quadrants of the galaxy, I have yet to find the one I'm looking for. No matter, as my own Empire expanded alongside the planets I conquered, I was able to fight on equal footing with the Viltrumite Empire's own army. A simple enough endeavor, seeing as how they all shared the same technology as the Uraqu, perhaps some having more advanced weaponry.
When it came to the Viltrumites themselves, my machines were unable to match their physical capabilities, but over time, I have figured out the right frequency to blast to disorient them. Even then, though they were still capable enough fighters and tore apart my various drones and retook the worlds I had conquered. I suppose it was one of the few advantages I had, the fact that my drones could be produced at a rapid speed by gathering the proper materials and ore, reusing my destroyed ones as well when given the chance.
One of my few advantages in this conflict as well was the fact that Viltrumites lacked the numbers for a full-scale assault. I don't remember what the number the original series said, but I did in fact know it was extremmly low and nearing extinction levels for one reason or another. Meaning, as I expand my forces, I can take and retake worlds faster than they could all the while I try to find Earth and a Viltrumite to test myself against.
The few times I was able to reach a location they had previously been at, I had just missed them as they had gone to another world, probably to whoever was in charge of another assignment. Well, a battle would happen eventually; I just needed to be clever in finding one. That, and in finding the world's currently being subjugated. Then I could test my improved body against them and see if I could figure out what made them tick, what gave them their amazing abilties and longevity.
I couldn't quite remember what it was that I read in my past human life; however, too much time has passed. That and the only reason I even recognized Nolan in the first place was that it was one of the last few pieces of media I watched before dying; in fact, I think Invincible was the last thing I watched before dying.
No matter, I had the time to figure it out and understand the makeup of a Viltrumite and to study the magic present in the universe. One of the few things I programmed my drones to search for, besides Viltrumite worlds or key infrastructure, was any possible signs of magic, and while I did indeed collect a few bits of true magical artifacts but they only provide basic data, noting usuable in the long term nor usuable in battle, at least not as they are. My drones were able to capture images of great battles being fought and won using these artifacts, but it seemed time weakened everything.
No matter, though, and with a few clicks, I pulled up new/recent drone data and scrolled through. That's when I saw it, at the edge of section 8 was a distant humanoid figure, wearing the garments of a Viltrumite soldier, one of the fifty or so left in the universe. He was heading towards one of the few worlds I left alone, mostly because it was left untouched by the enemy. It seems that they were heading forward to conquer it, all alone and no backup, if my drone saw it right.
"Computer, set course for Siruan and get all sonic weapons ready as well. I wish to see if I could capture this one alive."
[Acknowledge, setting course to Siruan and readying all sonic weapons]
*3rd POV*
*Location: Siruan, Capital City*
The Capital City of Siruan, a bustling metropolis and one that had nearly every building rising to the sky as though they were fingers trying to touch the heavens. The citizens, however, were short, blue beings with three spikes protruding from their heads, wearing black/yellow clothing. Each one was going about their day, walking and talking without a care in the world, as large fumes overtook the skies outside the city.
In the planet's atmosphere, several of their satellites began detecting a fast-approaching object. It was a tall, male, muscular humanoid wearing a grey/white uniform with greying dark hair and mustache to match. He's face was emotionless, as he readied himself for the task ahead, as though it was another choir. Something that was beneath him in its entirety.
Unfortunately, before the satellites could send images or a warning of the fast-approaching object, he destroyed them. Rapidly going from one to another and tearing them apart with ease as he eyed the Siruan world. Once he stopped, he looked at their world and scowled, charging forward at rapid speed, like a living meteor, and right toward their capital city.
Then, with a sudden boom, he arrived over the city and spoke with a loud booming voice.
"Inhabitants of Siruan, I am Vagra of the Viltrumite Empire, and your civilization has the great honor of-"
Before Vegra could finish his sentence, a loud boom echoed across the atmosphere as several red/black drones entered the atmosphere, going toward the right toward the Viltrumite. Confused, he looked at the three rapidly approaching drones, knowing for sure the technology used to make them didn't resemble anything from this civilization nor from any part of this sector of space.
Then they began blasting a wave of sonic blasts, each one in rapid succession, all around Vegra, causing untold pain to the Viltrumite, or began to waver in the air. He covered his ears as his eyes bulged out in pain, much to the confusion of the local inhabitants, who didn't understand what was happening but were running away from the scene nevertheless.
Even more so as the Viltrumite crashed into nearby buildings, unable to keep himself steady as the drones kept spinning around him. Never letting him rest for even a second as they kept blasting a high-powered sonic blast. As Vegra crashed into the building, rock and glass began falling to the ground, killing anyone unlucky enough to get caught up in it, but eventually Vegra was able to launch himself right at one of the drones like a guided missile, taking one out using his head.
By the time he stopped charging forward, he was far enough away from the drones that he was able to breathe easily now and look at the two remaining drones in anger. With all his fury in his fist charged forward, shrieking in pain as he reentered the range of their sonic weapons and took another one out as he slammed into the building behind it, shooting right through several of its support beams. The people still inside felt the building shift as it fell forward right towards the remaining drone, taking it down with it in the process, as the people fell out of the building or were crushed to a fine paste with it.
The Viltrumit began floating upward, breathing heavily as he now recognized the designs of those drones.
"Th-Thats not possible, the Vilgaxian Empire should be nowhere near here, and how the hell do they have access to-"
Only to be interrupted again as a massive fist struck him from the back as a massive warriro drone entered the city, ready for battle as a ship entered the atmosphere. A massive ship that easily casts a shadow over the city, as its energy source crackled inside, as the still-open bay doors had one last thing to fire, to let loose on the Viltrumite.
For Vegra, though, this new foe was more of an annoyance, less so than the three drones from before, but an annoyance nonetheless. Sure, it pushed them forward, but that was only because the humanoid being was surprised, and as he cracked his neck, the only emotion on his face was anger.
"I don't know how your wretched little Empire thinks it can stand up to the might of a Viltrumite, but it doesn't matter."
"You'll fall like all the rest of them and be nothing but dust under our feet."
Vegra shouted as he launched himself toward the gigantic drone's feet, taking one out instantly as it tried to slam its hand down on him. Soon enough, the massive behemoth began to waver back and forth, trying to regain its footing as Vegra flew upward, going right for the drone's shoulder, tearing off one of its arms instantly.
*Vilgax POV*
Looking down from the bay door at the Viltrumite currently tearing apart my warriro drone with ease, I looked at him with contempt in my eyes. My anger was visible on my face as it took every bit of my willpower not to crush the outer frame of the door with my bare hands as the various worker drones inside my ship began readying my transport sphere and the weapons I would be taking to kill or capture this Viltrumite, whichever one came first.
In front of me were several weapons, each one that had the potential to hurt or even kill a Viltrumite under the right conditions. For the more basic/primitive assortment, we had several Rognarr spears, made from their bones and improved upon to make them more stable and usable. Alongside this were a few makeshift wipes I made using their skulls and a few bits of their skin as makeshift rope so that they weren't torn off.
For the more advanced weapons, I had two gauntlets, each one equipped with sonic weaponry and durable enough to hopefully withstand the Viltrumites' strength.
Even if none of these worked, I still had my own strength/cybernetic augmentations to fall back on in case. Either way, putting them on and wrapping the variosu weapons on my back or belt, I approached the now ready sphere, entering it and strapping myself in, ready to be launched to the planet's surface, and to battle a Viltrumite for the first time in my many years of living.
As the computer counted down, I gripped the armrest inside as I saw the look of true fury in the reflective surface of the sphere, my hatred palpable and easily seen.
"It is time, Viltrumite, time for me to see just how mighty you truly are, if at all."
