"Captain! Be careful!"
Black Panther shouted a warning, but it was too late.
As one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe, Black Adam often stood shoulder to shoulder with Superman.
His movements now exceeded several times the speed of sound!
Before the Avengers team could even comprehend what was happening, everything before their eyes blurred, and their bodies suddenly felt weightless, as if seized by a hurricane.
Boom——!!!
Black Adam appeared before Captain America and struck with a force that sent sand and stone flying in all directions!
Captain America was blown backward like projectiles, crashing into an ancient pyramid and shattering its massive stone blocks into rubble!
Warning! Armor severely damaged!
"Khhm…"
Captain America was embedded in the pyramid wall, struggling to catch his breath.
The blow was so strong it had pierced his armor made from a gold-titanium alloy the same material Tony Stark had used for the Mark-46 model.
That armor could withstand a tank shell and come out with barely a scratch.
But Black Adam had pierced it with a single punch, leaving a gaping crack!
"Time to remind Stark to switch to vibranium alloy…" Captain America muttered, trying to pull himself out of the debris.
But before he could move, Black Adam had already vanished from sight.
His movement was so fast that even the advanced HUD inside the Captain's visor couldn't track it.
Boom——!!!
Another explosion shook the desert!
This time, War Machine fell from the sky, struck as if hit by a missile!
Black Adam appeared beneath him, grabbed him midair, one hand on his head, the other on his legs, and without hesitation, smashed his knee upward!
Crack!
The sound of metal and bone breaking echoed across the desert.
War Machine's exoskeleton armor twisted, his spine bending at an impossible angle.
"Aaaaah!!"
Rhodey's scream was cut short as he lost consciousness.
Black Adam carelessly tossed him aside, and the armored body crashed into the sand like a falling meteorite.
"...!"
The gigantic Ant-Man, witnessing it all, felt his heart jump in terror.
In an instant, he decided, he shrank down to the size of an ant!
But just as he thought he had hidden…
Boom——!
The sonic boom rang out again Black Adam appeared exactly where Ant-Man had stood a second before!
"Hm?"
Black Adam glanced around, raising an eyebrow when he didn't see him.
Then his gaze dropped and he spotted the tiny figure running through the sand.
"A futile struggle," he said coldly, then turned toward the massive Sphinx.
He spread his arms, pressed his palms against the stone and lifted the entire statue!
"!!!"
The Atom, who had planned to help Ant-Man, froze in shock.
His eyes locked onto the display of divine strength as Black Adam held the thousand-ton Sphinx above his head.
Fear overtook him and without thinking, he fled.
Meanwhile, the tiny Ant-Man ran across the sand as fast as his legs could carry him, until he noticed a shadow covering the ground.
He looked up and saw Black Adam holding the Sphinx above him, ready to throw it.
"Oh, shit!"
Ant-Man's eyes widened.
He was already preparing to shrink deeper, into the quantum realm, when a new figure appeared before him.
Sersi.
Elegant, calm, but with a radiant glow of power in her eyes.
Facing the Sphinx that Black Adam had lifted, Sersi slowly raised her hand.
Ant-Man instinctively shut his eyes, bracing for an explosion.
But instead of a destructive blast, a scent of roses filled the air.
He opened his eyes.
The massive Sphinx, the moment it touched Sersi's palm, began to transform.
The stone turned into petals of red roses, swirling through the air and falling all around them.
Countless petals blanketed the desert and Ant-Man vanished within that sea of flowers.
Sersi stood at the center of the scene, serene as a goddess.
She waved her hand, and in an instant, the ocean of flowers dispersed, gone as if it had never existed.
"Matter recombination?"
Black Adam murmured, watching the display before him. His face, usually cold and regal, now bore a spark of seriousness.
Sersi, member of the immortal race of Eternals, stood calmly, her eyes still glowing with power.
Her gift was extraordinary: she could reshape any substance she touched, transforming matter into any form.
In the memories of many, she was the one who had turned the half-awakened god Tiamut into stone.
Yet that feat wasn't just her own power, Tiamut had not resisted at the time.
The god, wishing to save Earth, had allowed Sersi to alter his structure.
Now, however, Black Adam had no intention of showing such mercy.
He hovered high above the ground, arms crossed, watching Sersi with an unyielding gaze.
He didn't rush to attack. He was measuring her, analyzing her, as if calculating how much of a threat she truly was.
"So, your powers require touch, don't they?"
Sersi flinched.
Her expression shifted, eyes widening. She hadn't expected him to discover her weakness so quickly.
She could reshape reality, but only through physical contact.
If she couldn't touch, she was powerless.
"Hm."
Black Adam smiled coldly, almost pityingly.
His strength did not come from science or evolution. It came from the gods, from the six Egyptian deities who gave him his name and power.
S — the stamina of Shu.
H — the speed of Horus.
A — the strength of Amon.
Z — the wisdom of Zehuti.
A — the power of Aton.
M — the courage of Mehen.
Zehuti's wisdom granted him sharp insight, the ability to read his opponent in an instant.
And now, that gift had led him to Sersi.
"Let's see if you can reshape this."
Black Adam raised his hand, light gathering between his fingers, forming into lightning.
"Be careful!" shouted Black Panther, leaping forward.
But he was too slow.
What Adam unleashed wasn't ordinary lightning, it was divine thunder, imbued with Aton's power.
Zzzzzuuummm!
Black Panther raised his energy shield, but the lightning struck with a force that exceeded the limits of technology.
The vibranium suit absorbed energy to its maximum capacity, then began to fracture under the pressure.
"Aaaaahhh!!"
An explosion of light engulfed both Panther and Sersi.
In an instant, they were blasted backward, illuminated by dazzling white energy.
Boom——!
The sound of impact shook the desert.
Black Panther fell hundreds of meters away, rolling across the ground until he stopped, his armor cracked, his body motionless.
Sersi fared slightly better, but she too fell to her knees, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
She breathed heavily, but her gaze remained defiant.
"You said it yourself…" she murmured, slowly rising to her feet. "We're conquerors from another world, aren't we?"
Black Adam lowered his gaze to Batman.
"These are the mighty conquerors you spoke of?" he asked coldly.
There was no anger in his voice, only contempt.
Batman got up, wiping blood from the corner of his lips.
"Keep your promise, Adam," he said quietly. "Finish this."
Black Adam nodded briefly.
From the moment he appeared until now, only seconds had passed, and he had already incapacitated six heroes from the Marvel world.
Only Quicksilver, who had earlier been defeated by the Martian Manhunter, remained unseen.
Suddenly, Batman's expression froze.
His sensor network detected that Quicksilver's position, no longer existed.
"He disappeared…?"
"Looks like someone doesn't know how to count to seven," said a female voice.
From the shadows, Black Widow leapt forth.
Her tight-fitting suit shimmered in waves of light as she deactivated her cloak. In her hand, she held a sharp vibranium dagger.
She moved quietly, almost silently.
In an instant, she was upon Batman and, using the element of surprise, drove the blade into his side.
"Ah!" Batman groaned, stepping back but quickly stabilizing himself.
Black Adam finally noticed Black Widow, her camouflage could never deceive his eyes, but until now, he hadn't considered there was another opponent.
Not until she struck.
He raised his hand, lightning gathering in his palm.
But before he could unleash it…
Zzzzuumm!
A silver flash split the sky.
Quicksilver!
"My blood! Summon, the Wrath of Vishan!"
His voice echoed like thunder.
The forbidden technique of Kamar-Taj enveloped him in light that flickered between red and white.
The earth trembled. The sky split open.
The energy he had summoned was unstable, raw and untamed, like the fury of nature itself.
He had no time to consider the consequences.
"Let's go!"
Quicksilver moved, his body turning into a streak of silver.
The world around him slowed to almost complete stillness.
Only one goal filled his mind to save his people.
