Ares, the God of War, grinned savagely and lunged forward.
He swung his tomahawk straight at Superman.
But before the weapon could reach its target—
Boom!
Wonder Woman swooped in from the side, blocking the strike with her shield and knocking Ares off balance.
"Your opponent is me!"
Diana hovered in the air, divine shield in her left hand and the sword forged by Vulcan himself in her right. The sharp tip of her weapon was aimed directly at Ares.
"Ahhh... fine!"
Ares, thrown back, shook his head and regained his footing.
Then, with all his strength, he hurled the tomahawk straight at Diana!
The sharp weapon spun through the air, tearing the space with a sound of destruction.
Diana showed no fear. With a quick maneuver, she dodged the deadly attack.
"Next time, throw it properly, stingy brother!"
She flashed a teasing smile at Ares, who was now charging toward her empty-handed.
"Oh, how funny!"
Ares laughed mockingly. At that moment, the tomahawk stopped spinning and, like Mjolnir, began returning to its master, changing direction straight toward Diana's back!
"What!?"
But Diana, the seasoned Amazon warrior, sensed the danger. Instinctively, she turned and raised her shield at the last second.
CLANG!
Metal struck metal, but...
Just as she stopped the tomahawk, Ares was already there!
A precise, brutal blow!
BAM!
Wonder Woman was sent flying backward, knocked down by the force of Ares's punch.
"Dear sister, that was the shield strike you gave me earlier… now you've felt it yourself!"
Ares retrieved his tomahawk and advanced toward her, determined to finish what he'd started.

Two red beams of energy sliced through his path.
"I already warned you."
Superman stood between Ares and Diana, fists clenched, eyes glowing with rage.

Crystal calculated the trajectory of the fall.
If Ares continued at this speed, he would crash directly into the city. Attilan's protective barrier wouldn't hold. A third of it would be destroyed.
"Tetanus, your turn!"
Crystal shouted to her ally, a massive dog the size of a tiger.
Tetanus leapt from the shadows.
With a flash of light, he teleported!
His figure appeared precisely where Ares was about to crash.
Ares fell...
Tetanus growled and activated another teleport!

Instead of slamming into Attilan, Ares was teleported in the opposite direction!
High into the atmosphere!
Tetanus reversed his downward trajectory into one aimed skyward.
"Good boy, Tetanus!"
Crystal laughed and immediately praised her loyal companion.
Thanks to Tetanus's intervention, the city was safe again, and Ares was sent back above the Moon, right into the battlefield.
"Oh, damn it... I'd rather let Superman hit me again than go through that!"
Ares cursed, completely dazed and disoriented from the violent teleportation.

Hercules was clashing directly with Superman!
He still hadn't fully healed after carrying the cannon from the Chitauri flagship, and now he was enduring the blows of Superman's fists.
The wounds reopened. Golden, divine blood streamed down his body.
"I am Hercules!!" he roared, pouring out his last strength.
The stars of Olympus shimmered above his head in response to his call.
He grabbed Superman by the wrist and, straining every muscle, tried to crush him.
Even Superman felt a slight shock.
"You are a powerful warrior. But I don't have time for this."
Clark didn't hesitate.
His eyes glowed red, and heat beams struck Hercules directly in the face.

He flew straight toward Attilan on the Moon's surface.

But Superman hadn't come to kill.
He quickly scanned the area and focused his attention on the prison complex.

He tore through the prison walls as if they were made of foam.
"Superman!?" shouted the imprisoned Flash and Aquaman, shocked and overjoyed.
Aquaman was furiously pounding the vibranium cell.
"Clark, get me out!"
"Alright."
Superman nodded, his eyes glowing again with heat vision.

Nothing.
Even after a prolonged blast, the vibranium cell didn't budge.
"What is this?" he said, surprised, stopping the attack.
He stepped closer and grabbed the bars with both hands, starting to apply force.
Vibranium, known as the material of Captain America's shield and resistant even to Mjolnir's strikes, was now resisting Superman himself!
But Clark gritted his teeth.

Under his immense strength, the metal began to crack and bend.
Soon, an opening appeared, just big enough for someone to slip through.
"Bravo! Clark, you did it!"
Aquaman was thrilled.
But then...
Behind Superman, the silence was broken by a new presence.
Black Bolt.
The King of the Inhumans, hidden in a lead-lined chamber to evade Superman's sight, now seized his moment.
"Watch out!" shouted Flash from the other cell.
Too late.
Black Bolt opened his mouth.
"Aaahhh!!!"
His voice, restrained until now, was unleashed at full force.
Without a shred of hesitation.
The civilians had already been evacuated.
