When Captain America and the others passed through the portal, the scene before them looked like something out of Star Wars.
Thick energy beams fell from the sky.
A Wakandan warrior raised his cloak with one hand, creating a transparent energy shield in front of him. Then he raised a vibranium spear toward the sky and fired a laser at a robot.
Two energy beams of different colors traced the sky and ground in a chaotic web of lines and light.
Boom!
One of Ultron's robots was hit directly.
It exploded in the air, broke apart, and the remains left a thick trail of smoke that descended toward the ground.
"Uploading data..."
"Vulnerability found: lack of energy defense. Vulnerability level: medium. Continue analysis..."
"Battle analysis: the enemy has defensive weaknesses. Change attack strategy..."
Soon, the robots changed tactics.
They no longer attacked head-on.
They began hovering in the air, surrounding the Wakandan warriors from all sides.
The energy shield created by the warrior's cloak could only defend in one direction.
That meant their backs were vulnerable.
Many warriors didn't manage to turn around in time and were struck by laser beams from other directions.
They fell dead on the spot.
Losses quickly increased.
The formations of the Wakandan warriors were disrupted, and once the ranks broke, new vulnerabilities in the defense immediately appeared.
Casualties multiplied, and the number of deaths increased exponentially.
At that moment, Captain America and the other Avengers arrived on the battlefield.
"Oops... looks like they can't hold out much longer!" Steve quickly assessed the situation.
Without a word, the vibranium shield in his hand flew like lightning.
Crash!
An Ultron robot hovering just above the ground was hit by the shield, lost control, and fell.
It exploded in a cloud of fire and metal.
The shield rebounded and returned to Steve.
"This thing isn't physical," Mordo noted as he looked suspiciously at the shield.
"You wizards into physics now?" Steve asked, offering no explanation.
He grabbed the shield again and shouted:
"Avengers!"
"Attack!"
Doctor Bruce Banner immediately sprang into action.
As he ran, his body quickly grew, his skin turning green.
"Raaah!"
The transformation into Hulk was complete.
The massive body leapt high into the sky and charged at Ultron's airborne formation.
"Reinforcements!"
"Change formation! Back to back!"
T'Chaka quickly issued the command.
The Wakandan warriors, already hit with losses, quickly reorganized.
They formed groups of three to four people.
Back to back.
That way each fighter was protected from all sides within the range of the energy shield.
"Avengers detected... Target: Aron... Target: Stark... not found..."
"Unidentified targets detected... Uploading data... Comparison..."
"Analysis complete... magic user..."
High above the battlefield, a special Ultron robot was not participating in the fight.
It just hovered, scanned the territory, and sent data.
Its crimson mechanical eye tracked every movement on the battlefield.
But in the next moment…
A magical whip, endlessly extended from the ground, swung and struck the special robot.
Destroyed it on the spot, along with several surrounding drones.
"Well played, sorcerer!"
"Just call me Mordo."
Mordo swung the magical whip again.
It looked like he was wielding a huge, living snake made of light.
With one strike, he neutralized multiple robots in a line.
Aron's words previously said to Mordo were not wrong.
Mordo was truly the best fighter among the new generation of Kamar-Taj mages, especially in hand-to-hand combat.
In other types of magic, he might not be the best.
But in imitative magic for one-on-one battle, Mordo was unmatched.
"Important vulnerabilities found!"
"Ultron lacks magical defense... Vulnerability level: high... Uploading data..."
However, the special Ultron robot destroyed by Mordo, before its mechanical eye went dark, transmitted part of the data to the Ultron General Network.
---
At the same time as the great battle in Wakanda.
African coast.
Inside an abandoned shipyard.
An Ultron robot with enhanced specifications stepped with a mechanical foot over the body of black-market dealer Ulysses Klaue.
"You know what..."
"Human knowledge is interesting, especially conspiracy theories."
"I've learned a lot from them."
Ultron pressed his foot on Klaue's body.
Enormous force threatened to crush his ribs.
"Khm..."
"Whatever you want, I don't have it here..."
Ulysses Klaue coughed up blood.
He tried to hide.
But two other Ultron robots found his storage.
They opened the iron doors.
Behind them was a room full of vibranium, stored in cylindrical containers.
"That is the power of conspiracy."
"While they still offer meaningless resistance in Wakanda, I got what I wanted..."
Ultron lifted his foot.
Not killing the dying Klaue.
He only took one vibranium cylinder – this small cylinder, sold on the black market, was worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
"No!"
"That's mine!"
"The value of those things is huge!"
Ulysses Klaue struggled to get up.
He shouted in protest.
"Money?"
Ultron turned his head.
His crimson mechanical eyes seemed to mock.
In the next moment, Klaue's phone received a message:
Your account: 100 million dollars.
"You humans really are simple."
"A sequence of useless numbers can move you, even make you give your life."
Ultron finished speaking.
Just as he was about to leave, his robotic hand suddenly generated high temperature.
It quickly turned and pierced Klaue's heart.
"You kill each other!"
"Ultron commanders 07... 08... 09... Commence!"
"Activate the remaining Ultron soldiers..."
"Attack Wakanda – intensify!"
All information was quickly sent within Ultron's main network.
Meanwhile, the real Ultron, who had always been lurking on the internet, listened to a phone conversation between two ordinary people.
"Jane, come here, your device detected a gravitational anomaly!"
"Yeah!"
"Leave Eric alone, he's crazy."
"And by the way, Jane, try to avoid the street parades when you come, I don't want my girlfriend ending up in the hands of thugs..."
...
Ultron silently listened to the conversation.
"Hacking Darcy Lewis's computer..."
"Reading data..."
"Detecting gravitational anomalies..."
"Energy wave frequency matches Mind Stone resonance..."
"Conclusion:"
"New Infinity Stones found."
