James system begins removing the remnant soul of the ancient demon that made its way into James body.
The demon in James' body tries to resist the system and quickly attempts to fully fuse with James so it can use him as a vessel and buy more time to counter the system and avoid being eradicated.
James is surprised at whats taking place, and tries to think of a way to delay the demon from focusing solely on corrupting his body, so the system has enough time to get rid of the soul remnant fully.
James attempts to activate his magic and begins circulating it around his body as a means of slowing down the demons' takeover, by constantly circulating mana within his body, to slow down the spread of the demons' control. Since James began circulating mana around his body, the demons' control over James body began regressing, and the system also got faster in its attempt to exterminate the demon within James body.
Time passes, and the system is almost done exterminating the demon; however, just as the remnant soul stuck within James was about to be completely eradicated, it activated the last bit of its magic power in the attempt of resist the system, and James own magic, which was in its way.
The demon used a forbidden spell, which would cause the user to burn all of their magic power and give them a temporary boost in all stats, which allowed the demon to resist for even longer, and because of this, the demon was able to fuse a larger part of itself to James, completely negating the mana he was circulating within his body and making the system struggle in its attempt to get rid of them.
James slowly began demonising and losing control of his limbs, causing him to infuse more mana into the limbs he had taken over so he could restrict the demons' movements.
The system asked James if he'd like to use gluttony to speed up the process of getting rid of the demon, and he immediately agreed.
Seconds passed by, and the system activated gluttony within James body, and began absorbing the soul remnant.
James slowly regained control of the limbs that he had lost control of, and eventually, the system fully absorbed the demons' soul remnant that was left within James body.
After the last essence of the soul remnant left James' body, he woke up in the real world. James saw Anya lying next to him as he woke, and immediately tried waking her up, as she was also in contact with the demons' soul remnant, due to the soul binding.
Anya didn't wake up, and James thought that she might have died or lost a part of her mind. He ruled out her dying cause as the effects of soul binding, so he attempted to use magic to wake her up.
James channeled his mana into his fingers and put them on Anya's forehead, allowing the mana to go into her brain and shock the part of her brain, which would cause her to wake up.
Anya woke up and saw James' panicked face, and a warm sensation on her forehead. She asked what James was doing, and James calmed down a little.
James quickly explained what had happened, and what he thought might of have happened to her. She said that she was mostly fine, as she only remembered the pain she felt when James equipped the soul-bound item, and she said that she basically doesn't remember anything after that.
James suggested that they go back to where they stay, so they can rest, and Anya agrees with him, so they end up leaving the dungeon and make their way back to where they had been at first.

James and Anya eventually got back to the surface and went back to where they stay. When they got back, They parted ways for a bit, as James went into the study, and Anya went to clean herself.
James opened his system store when he got to the study, and claimed his daily rewards, but didn't check them. After claiming the rewards, he went back to the main store and looked for the spellbook, which he wanted to purchase, but saw that it wasn't for sale anymore. He didn't look around the store after since he wanted to test something out.
After closing the system store, James opened his skills and abilities tab, and was met with…
