The atmosphere in the toilet was dense with silence and tension. The only sound that echoed was the subtle, steady rhythm of Kessa's breathing as she lay motionless on the tiled floor. Dray knelt beside her, his eyes unwavering, fixed on her still body, waiting for the outcome of the unintentional turning.
Minutes passed.
Then, finally, Kessa stirred.
Her body shuddered gently as if a cold wind passed through her. Her eyes slowly opened, revealing irises that glowed with a deep, sultry crimson hue. She blinked once, then again, as if adjusting to a new world—a new reality. Slowly, she pushed herself up into a sitting position, her fingers brushing through her now darker, lustrous hair. A soft gasp escaped her lips as she clutched her chest, feeling the undeniable surge of energy coursing through her veins.
"What... is this feeling?" she whispered.
Dray watched silently, his lips slightly parted. He couldn't look away. There was something mesmerizing about her now—an aura, a presence, something that hadn't been there before. Her beauty had transcended. Her skin, though paler than before, had a glow that made her features even more alluring. A faint blush of crimson on her cheeks appeared like natural makeup, enhancing her elegance and danger simultaneously.
Kessa slowly turned her gaze toward Dray, catching him in his trance.
"Dray," she said, her voice softer than silk, but filled with something else—power. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
Dray stumbled on his words. "I... I... It's just... You look different. I mean, not bad different, but... you're... beautiful. I mean, not that you weren't before, but now you're—"
She giggled, cutting him off. There was a playful glint in her crimson eyes.
Kessa stood up and walked toward the mirror on the wall. Her footsteps were confident, yet graceful. She stood in front of the mirror, gasping lightly at her reflection. Her fingertips traced her own features—the smooth, pale skin; the red flush on her cheeks; her now raven-dark hair that curled sensually around her shoulders.
She turned slowly, a wide grin spreading across her face.
"I look... hot," she said, then spun on her heel and started walking toward Dray.
Dray instinctively took a step back, surprised by the change in her demeanor.
"Kessa? What are you doing?" he asked, heart thumping in his chest.
She kept moving toward him, her hips swaying just slightly with each step.
"Don't act so scared, Dray," she said with a sultry tone. "You made me like this, remember? You saved me. You made me strong."
"Kessa, this isn't you," he murmured.
She stopped just in front of him and leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. Dray's eyes widened in shock.
"I'll be waiting for you, my Lord," she whispered with a teasing laugh, then turned and walked out of the toilet like a queen who had just claimed her throne.
Dray stood frozen, still processing what had just happened. His body refused to move.
"System," he said slowly, blinking back to reality. "What just happened to her? That isn't like Kessa."
The mechanical voice of the system responded calmly:
"The Noctilux Seductress is a rare sub-species of the vampire race. They are born with an innate charm. Every movement, every word, and every glance is laced with seductive energy. It is their nature. She can only remain subdued and normal when around her creator—you."
Dray groaned. "Great. So she might go around seducing everyone else?"
"There is a risk. However, she will instinctively remain closest to her creator, unless otherwise influenced."
He sighed and ran his hands through his white hair. "Speaking of which... System, can you change my hair color? I can't be walking around with ghost-white hair."
"Yes. A cosmetic hair-altering potion is available in the system shop. Price: 3 credits. Would you like to purchase it?"
"Yes."
A small vial appeared in his hand instantly. It shimmered with a faint green glow.
"How do I use it?" he asked.
"Apply the potion directly to your hair. The color will revert to black. Reapply every three days or the effect will fade."
Dray did as instructed. A moment after application, his reflection in the mirror shifted. The pale white of his hair darkened until it returned to a silky black sheen. He exhaled in relief.
"Much better."
He stepped out of the toilet and returned to his room. The lights were dimmed and all his roommates were fast asleep, their breathing calm and rhythmic. Slipping quietly to his bed, Dray lay down and pulled the thin blanket over him.
But he couldn't sleep.
His heart was still beating fast from everything that had happened.
He called up his system interface.
