Sylus rushed to the class holding the book under his arms, the back of his hand where the symbol is was itching but he ignored it, the more he thinks about the vision he saw the more it didn't make sense what exactly was what he saw.
He placed the book under his desk and sat down, the itching at the back of his hand grew more intense, the temperature in the classroom seems to rise amd his vision was getting a little foggy. It's not normal for him to get sick because of what or who he is, the book under his desk seems to call his name.
The teacher for the first period walked in and started teaching, Sylus tried his best to pay attention but his hand was itching so badly he thought of scratching but it got worse, his mind was disoriented, vision foggy and breathing heavy,
Slowly time passed in that state, he reach for his bag for Asta's support but the bag was empty except for books, he search all parts but still no Asta , then he panicked.
Asta isn't the type to just disappear, he made it clear once he hate this world because it has nothing to do with Albatrou and has never gone wondering around, if he isn't here where is he and how will he get to Albatrou without him.
He looked around the classroom and everything seems to laugh at him, Asta is gone, the cursed book was calling his name and he isn't feeling any better.
" sir ..... May I use the restroom " he asked .
" sure don't take long " the teacher answered without looking back.
Sylus shot up from his set planning to go outside and clear his head but as soon as he got up, a loud ringing sound followed by a sudden shock of pain cause him to collapse.
He found himself in a hospital room when he awoke , beside him his bag was on a table, he took it and started to search hoping that it wasn't real and Asta was still there but it was to no avail.
" your finally awake " the nurse came to him " your blood pressure was dangerously low kid , don't over work yourself or else you will be taking to the hospital next time"
" what is this place " he asked .
" it's the school's health center, Kindle rest as I go outside " she opened the door and stepped out " don't worry, your classmates brought you here,don't leave till you feel okay to " .
Sylus was left alone in the room and in the world, he took out the book Aspen gave to him from his bag and stared at it, be side it was the card he added he immediately took out his phone to call him, if Asta disappeared before if this book, then Aspen has something to do with it.
The call instantly went through " I knew you would call but I didn't expect this soon" Aspen's voice came from the other end of the line.
" Where is Asta and what have you done to me" Sylus shouted into the phone.
" relax oh-king, your beloved friend is in good hands " Aspen teased.
" where is he, put Asta on the line now "
" please, he being in good hands don't mean he is with me , "
" what have you done to him and where is he "
" Asta is with you, close to you, very close to you but your just not seeing it " Aspen voice sound relaxed.
" what are you talking about ".
" why don't you come to me, let's settle this misunderstanding before it gets any worse "
" come to you?? dude have you lost your mind, I'm in school " Sylus was losing his cool at this point.
" mind how you talk to me little boy, you are in a situation you don't understand I'm here to help and you insult me, I'm not the bad guy here" there was a long pause " look out the window "
Sylus got out of bed and walked to the window, there was a black SUV parked right outside the back of the school.
" get yourself here and let's .. discuss this " the call ended.
Sylus look at his watch it's almost ten o'clock, the grabbed his bag and went out the school jumped over the wall like he always does, he opened the door of the car, it was empty, the driver was there but Aspen wasn't.
He took his phone and called him again,he answered " where are you , how are we going to discuss it if your not here ".
" I'm in my house of course, where else will I be and I didn't say we are talking in the school or the car all I said was get yourself here "
Sylus went quiet " by here you mean your house " he questioned.
" yeah the driver will bring you here" he ended the call,
Sylus got inside the car and the driver speed off , he kept telling himself he is doing this for Asta but his mind keep coming back to his words ' he is with you, close to you' what does he mean but that .
A while later he noticed they were driving out of town into the forest, normal people would panic but he kept his cool, he going to find Asta and they're leaving to Albatrou and report it to lady Asha, let her handle her crazy strange ass friend.
The car stopped in front of a long metal gate the walls were tall every tall you won't be able to see the inside from outside, the gate opened and the car went in.
Sylus couldn't believe his eyes, the packed in front of a mansion that looked like it came from heaven, golden everything and a big garden, lions were roaming about in the grasses and flowers as if they were kept as pets ,
He was lead inside by guards, Aspen descended from the stairs, he was lightly dressed, one can see the bandages on him, his smile was very creepy but his eyes looked calm.
" welcome Sylus and Asta and of course..... Apathy " he smiled even weirder.
" what the hell are you talking about, where is Asta and who is Apathy "
" your appearance has changed king Sylus of greed and only person like us can see it " Aspen sat down beside the coffee table and taped the seat next to him while looking at Sylus.
" what are you talking about " Sylus asked without sitting.
" did you check your face before coming here" ...." take this and tell me what you see" Aspen gave him a pocket mirror.
Sylus look at his reflections and froze, he couldn't believe what he was seeing, his usual brown eyes are now a clean pair of hydrochromic eyes, one bloody red the other midnight blue, his hair had golden stripes in it , but among them all, what really shocked him was the symbol on his forehead,
He didn't know what it was but it was glowing like how his greed symbol does.....
